First time here and thought it was pretty cool. It's very inconspicuous and a nice bar with live music and pool! They have drink specials for decent prices and happy hour deals that have an open bar! It's not really in a very nice area, but that's most of DTLA. They have a $15 parking lot on spying that's close by like a 2 min walk. Also they charge a cover of $5 to get in! I will try this bar again maybe. I feel they can also play other types of genre music as well.

great vibes! it's giving speakeasy. the owner is such a gem, he and his wife have really good energy. this spot is super spacious, has pool tables, shuffleboard and they offer a live band on select nights for entertainment. we went on a Saturday night and they had the Dodgers World Series game playing on big screen tvs throughout the seating areas. go and enjoy a cold beer with some friends and enjoy the space!

Probably the most immersive, most unique & FIRST Jazz bar I've ever encountered in my life. I came across this bar through one of those Uber scooters, & decided to stop by (looked quite interesting). The place immediately surprised me, as the actual bar setting was surrounded by books & a vintage feel. To my surprise, there was more. The room extends to a live music space, where there are tables & pool tables. There was live music playing, and it was goooood. This is an exceptional place.

I went here to celebrate my 45th bd . Very cool place , was upset the lineup changed which was disappointing but we still had a great time . Unfortunately tried to play dominoes but it was missing one ( some one should check the games completion at the end of the night ,or before opening ) . The drinks were affordable and tasty and food was good , nice portions enough to share with at least 2 some even more . It's open seating and no reservations , our group got there early so we had the pick of seats. 9pm love music began which was cool but I felt like they had a lot of intermissions . Was a little annoyed they closed our sitting area before closing time which didn't make sense so we had to relocate which was frustrating because there was really no where else to go , so we left . I would definitely go back .

Tried this place out while my Mom was in town because she likes Jazz. I enjoyed it for the most part. Has a New York style to it as it's underground. The Good: -The drinks are good -The food is VERY good, good portions too. -Lots of seating for the most part -Good amount of pool tables to play on -They bring the food you order to your table, so that's nice. The Not-So Good -Went on a Thursday and there was a $5 cover for some reason. I call this the not-so good because I went on the website and their (hardly updated IG) and there was NO MENTION of a cover. I know there was some live music for a few hours while we were there, but there was no mention of there being a cover. Not the worse thing but would have been good to know before hand. -Drinks are expensive. I've had plenty of more cocktails and food at other places and it never reached $200. It did here. Overall, it has a nice ambience overall that feels like a Manhattan club. I wasn't blown away, but it's a fine hang out every so often.

Stopped by Thursday night for a drinks and a few bites. I tried the burger, steak fries and popcorn shrimp . The burger was absolutely delicious. Steak fries were good size order and the popcorn shrimp came with two dipping sauces one was tangy and tasted like the Louisiana hot sauce and the other sauce tasted like a dijon mustard. There is a cover charge of 5 dollars you can pay with card or cash. There is a few seating area around the bar . I got there before the office crowd and a private event came in . It's a very lively bar it got crowded quickly. If you plan on driving there are a few parking lots walking distance keep in mind the card readers don't work you must pay the machine in cash exact change around 15 dollars flat fee.

Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. They have so many runners bringing the drinks out but only a few servers and, from the looks of it, one bartender (on a Saturday night - what?!). The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!

From fun nights out, special occasions, whiskey tastings, exploring the speakeasy... playing some pool, enjoying libations, taking in live music, perfect outings on the patio, the occasional cigar. So many great memories and experiences created here including some awesome date days with my other half. If stopping in for the first time you'll discover S.G. on 7th and Grand Avenue with a door person usually always at the bottom of the staircase just outside of the restaurant/cocktail bar Zaya (which has been many incarnations including Bar CDMX, V and Mas Malo). Provide them with a valid ID, as anybody over 21 should have a valid form of identification on them at all times, not just for driving or access to 21+ events or establishments, but for safety. And Seven Grand cares about everyone and their safety. They value their staff as much as their customers. And it shows in every way from thoughtful space in all directions, great pool tables, a whiskey, bourbon and scotch curated cocktail menu, even some good brew/beer. Awesome hallways with cabinet lockers, the cleanest restrooms, great dim dark warm lighting, fun fixtures and true DTLA vibes that feel old timey yet also very modern. Seven Grand is open to all and all are welcome. Stellar daily happy hour 4pm to 8pm. I love a good $10 Toki Highball at 5pm, but you can't go wrong with their classic old fashion also. All the bartenders are incredible as well as personable. S Grand is open every day from 4pm until 2am. Loads of lots close by as well as the Metro station at 7th and Metro. Though the trains currently stop just a little after midnight. Rideshare is also your friend, which now includes Waymo in the area. Discover Seven Grand also in San Diego, Austin or Denver. If planning an event you inquire with Stephen via email for personal parties, events with a budget and even corporate parties. They're very accommodating with a good amount of notice. When we had my boyfriend's birthday here they reserved a table for us and set us up with everything we needed. Thinking of having my next birthday here myself both at Seven Grand and Bar Jackalope (their hidden speakeasy). Support your awesome LA Whiskey Bar!

It wasn't your typical corner haunt. There was an intentionality here that turned a simple evening out into a genuine education. The curation of spirits was nothing short of impressive, but what set the experience apart was the conversation. I arrived knowing the difference between a glass and a bottle, but left with a newfound appreciation for the nuances of rum, the craftsmanship behind a smooth whiskey, and the unexpected complexities hidden within a well-made vodka. Each pour came with a story, a history, and a level of expertise that transformed every sip into a lesson. The atmosphere was the perfect anchor for it all--utterly chill and devoid of the frantic, forced energy you find elsewhere. It was the kind of place where the music sits at just the right volume and the lighting invites you to actually linger. A couple things to note: there is parking available, but it is paid (you can either text to pay or use the kiosk machines).
