    Love jazz music

Went on a Thursday night and had a great time. You can't go wrong with live jazz music, pool, ping pong and board games. $5 cover fee, only 1 bartender so it took a while to get a drink but would definitely recommend

First time here and thought it was pretty cool. It's very inconspicuous and a nice bar with live music and pool! They have drink specials for decent prices and happy hour deals that have an open bar! It's not really in a very nice area, but that's most of DTLA. They have a $15 parking lot on spying that's close by like a 2 min walk. Also they charge a cover of $5 to get in! I will try this bar again maybe. I feel they can also play other types of genre music as well.

great vibes! it's giving speakeasy. the owner is such a gem, he and his wife have really good energy. this spot is super spacious, has pool tables, shuffleboard and they offer a live band on select nights for entertainment. we went on a Saturday night and they had the Dodgers World Series game playing on big screen tvs throughout the seating areas. go and enjoy a cold beer with some friends and enjoy the space!

Probably the most immersive, most unique & FIRST Jazz bar I've ever encountered in my life. I came across this bar through one of those Uber scooters, & decided to stop by (looked quite interesting). The place immediately surprised me, as the actual bar setting was surrounded by books & a vintage feel. To my surprise, there was more. The room extends to a live music space, where there are tables & pool tables. There was live music playing, and it was goooood. This is an exceptional place.

I went here to celebrate my 45th bd . Very cool place , was upset the lineup changed which was disappointing but we still had a great time . Unfortunately tried to play dominoes but it was missing one ( some one should check the games completion at the end of the night ,or before opening ) . The drinks were affordable and tasty and food was good , nice portions enough to share with at least 2 some even more . It's open seating and no reservations , our group got there early so we had the pick of seats. 9pm love music began which was cool but I felt like they had a lot of intermissions . Was a little annoyed they closed our sitting area before closing time which didn't make sense so we had to relocate which was frustrating because there was really no where else to go , so we left . I would definitely go back .

    Pepper-Steak sandwich. Pretty good

Tried this place out while my Mom was in town because she likes Jazz. I enjoyed it for the most part. Has a New York style to it as it's underground. The Good: -The drinks are good -The food is VERY good, good portions too. -Lots of seating for the most part -Good amount of pool tables to play on -They bring the food you order to your table, so that's nice. The Not-So Good -Went on a Thursday and there was a $5 cover for some reason. I call this the not-so good because I went on the website and their (hardly updated IG) and there was NO MENTION of a cover. I know there was some live music for a few hours while we were there, but there was no mention of there being a cover. Not the worse thing but would have been good to know before hand. -Drinks are expensive. I've had plenty of more cocktails and food at other places and it never reached $200. It did here. Overall, it has a nice ambience overall that feels like a Manhattan club. I wasn't blown away, but it's a fine hang out every so often.

Stopped by Thursday night for a drinks and a few bites. I tried the burger, steak fries and popcorn shrimp . The burger was absolutely delicious. Steak fries were good size order and the popcorn shrimp came with two dipping sauces one was tangy and tasted like the Louisiana hot sauce and the other sauce tasted like a dijon mustard. There is a cover charge of 5 dollars you can pay with card or cash. There is a few seating area around the bar . I got there before the office crowd and a private event came in . It's a very lively bar it got crowded quickly. If you plan on driving there are a few parking lots walking distance keep in mind the card readers don't work you must pay the machine in cash exact change around 15 dollars flat fee.

Ask the Community - Rhythm Room LA

My friend wants to have his 27th here but his sister is still only 19. Can she get in, or is the bar strictly 21+?

The bar is 21 and over. They checked ids when I went!

Are they still checking for vaccination cards?

Is this open for all ages?

They check your ID pretty intensely(scan it) and compare it to your Vaccination card.

    Can you wear hats?

    Saw plenty of hats!

    When are live jazz nights?

You have to check their website to see who is playing on what days.…

Do they still have any ping pong tables or other bar games?

Yes pool, darts and foosball. Ping pong coming back soon.

Do we have to make reservations to get in?

No reservations required, walk-ins are welcome!

    Is there a cover charge?

    How much is it

Is this 21 & over? Or All ages?

    Most definitely 21+

Can you reserve a section for your birthday? I sent an email, but never got a response.

Our event manager sent over a reply last Friday, please let us know if you’ve not yet received it.

What time does the live music start?

    9pm Tuesday-Thursday 9:30pm Friday and Saturdays

Do you have to be 21 to get in?

    Yes

Would I be able to bring a small dog?

I wouldn't.. It's a jazz spot that is dimly lit.. Also it's packed at times and the sounds and people my startle the little one

Is there live music every night?

There is live music Tuesday - Saturday. Currently, we feature Jazz and blues Tues-Thurs. and soul, and Motown on Fridays and Saturdays. You can also find our updated schedule on Instagram, FB, or twitter!

    Is there a dress code?

    Nope

Hi! I lost my debit card and ID and saw that there is no number to call. If I want to check and see if they found it I have to go in person?

You can contact info@rhythmroomla.com or reach on Facebook messenger!

What time should I get there on Saturday if I don't want to wait in a long line?

The earlier the better. I would say anything after 10pm you're going to be in line. Saturday is the busiest day of course! Hope this helps!

    I'm assuming 21+?

Yes, they do check ID at the door.

How can i reserve a table?

The ambiance has a perfect speakeasy vibe with its dim lighting and relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to just hang out and grab a quality drink. The cocktail program here is absolutely phenomenal. I am pretty picky when it comes to whiskey, and since Manhattans are my absolute favorite, my expectations were high. They mixed an incredible Manhattan that was perfectly balanced with the right sweet vermouth, and their Old Fashioneds are crafted with an attention to detail that really lets the spirits shine through. We also ordered a few Paper Planes, and they were dangerously good, hitting that perfect sweet and sour note that makes you want to immediately order another round. It is not just the incredible drinks that make this place stand out, but the exceptional service from the bartenders. They are super knowledgeable and treat craft cocktail making like a true art form, all while keeping the vibe laid-back and welcoming. If you are looking for an unmatched whiskey selection and a fantastic atmosphere in Los Angeles, this place is an absolute must-visit. Easy 5 stars for sure.

Having been here many times over the past decade, I've discovered some great bourbons, scotches, and had some great cocktails. But those days are unfortunately in years past. In a place that prides itself in its whisky, the bartenders are sorely lacking in their knowledge around their own bar. With an extensive selection, I don't expect them to know everything, but bartenders not knowing what is meant by a neat pour (straight out of the bottle into the glassware, no ice, and not mixed) was unexpected. I'm getting the impression that while they still mix old fashioneds, a scotch such as Ardbeg is now an unusual and baffling request. I've been here a handful of times in the past few months, and it can be lively or dead, but it's now just any other bar. If you want a fun cocktail you can find anywhere else, this place will do, but unfortunately it's lost what has separated this bar from any of the other bars in dtla.
