I have been going to Crystal cleaners for some time, Last sat I had a terrible experience and it was not always the first time. Crystal cleaners in Morrsiville is over priced. I had a pair of blacks cub pants that I wanted hemmed, The husband tells me it will be $25 , wanted me to pay up front and the pants would not be ready until after the 4th of July, Keep in mind I was dropping off these pants on 6/22/2024, telling me it will take almost 10 days for a simple pair of black sub pants to be hemmed and wanted payment up front , after i have been a client there for almost 20 years and referred so many people to there business . I told them , that I was not paying $25 up front and waiting 10 days for a simple alteration. I walked out , took my pants and went to Medlin dry cleaners in cary in the lowes food shopping center in Preston, It cost me $15 and my pants were ready that Wednesday 6/26/2024, I thought this was all reasonable. This is not the first time Crystal cleaners in Morrisville has over charged me for simple dry cleaning and alterations. I do not recommend them for any services. They are not treating there local faithful customers fairly. They are overpriced ,want payment upfront ( I have been a customer for 20 years) they know me and that is how I was treated and have to wait 10 days for my work scrub pants. I do not recommend Crystal cleaners, Highly recommend Medlin Dry cleaners. read more

I called prior to stopping by to ask about pricing for two coats. I described each to the person on the phone - one a wool coat, and one a peacoat - and they quoted me at $7.25 each. When I dropped them off later that afternoon, I was given a ticket for $36. I explained that I had received a quote for much less and the folks behind the counter just stared at me, shook their heads, and repeated that my ticket cost was correct. I actually left a tip regarding my experience (that Yelp has since removed, citing that tips are for business offerings and services, not experiences), and the owner/manager reached out to me after (screenshot of conversation attached). First of all, I didn't ask for "jacket" pricing and again, I explained each coat in detail. Second, neither were as he assumed with "massive lint, hair, and stains." One was brand new and I wanted it cleaned prior to wearing for the first time and the other had been stored away and smelled a bit dusty. Well I guess I have tried a number of cleaners around the area...I'm not a play-ah but I like to have a cleaners near work, near home, etc. and I have tried out a few (doesn't make me easy, just maybe picky). I have used the services here at Mee Cleaners and Tailors (UPDATE: now called Crystal Cleaners and Tailor) in Morrisville a few times and always been pleased. The last time I went there this past week , especially so. I took in a suit to be dry cleaned and also a couple of shirts. One shirt, a nice white one that was fairly new, had a spot at the collar that looked dark like grease or something. Prior attempts at other cleaners had left the spot still there to my dismay even after pointing it out specifically. I took it to Mee Cleaners, and they made sure to mark it immediately. I turned in my clothes and got my ticket, came out to leave in my car. The nice woman there came running out to point out a few things on my suit jacket she would like to fix for me, and also added "no charge" when she pointed them out. I thought that was a great customer service moment. She wanted to make sure I knew I needed it and that she was glad to fix it, and chased me down to let me know before I left. I got my suit and shirts back the next day, and all were great. The white shirt was brilliant white, and that mark on the collar...not a trace left. I was one satisfied customer. The owners/staff are always very nice and courteous as well. Bottom line: Great service, and friendly people...two thumbs up! read more

This is the place I trust for all my family's finest articles. Dry cleaning is a bit of a long-term relationship; you keep going to the same one unless they ruin something. So far, so good at Crystal Cleaners as I've sent dozens of articles there. They have all come back perfect - with a winning smile, some proactive touches ("I found this handkerchief in your pocket, so I cleaned and pressed it for you for free" and "this button was coming loose, but I sewed it back on"), and a little sweet for my kid. Goodness, I hope the day never comes when they ruin something, because I really, really, really like this place so far. Not the cheapest, but I don't want them to be cheap. Special shout out to Chip R. for the great Yelp review that brought me here in the first place. To find it, approach it from NW Cary Parkway, turning in the second to last driveway before it hits Chapel Hill Road (before Wendy's). It's right there on the corner of the mall. My review is based on price alone. My experience is that a simple hem should price out around $8 - $10. This place charges $15. Ridiculous! I will update this review once I pick up my pants. For now, I will not be back to this place simply based on the price. Update - The hem on my pants was good. However, I still say that the price to hem the pants was ridiculously high. Fairly priced for dry cleaning in Cary. The shop owners are very kind. When dropping items off, it helps to be clear about what you want and even try the item on and show them how you would like the item pressed. I personally have some articles of clothing that would require this, and it helps to be clear about your expectations in the first place. I think this shop could do a better job at pressing the items in regards to symmetry and seams of the items based on my previous experience. I would return again read more

This place is great! I had 2 buttons pop off my coat while out and about. They fixed the 2 buttons and tightened the 3rd without me asking, then delivered my coat to my car!!! She wouldn't even accept a tip. I will be back! And the buttons are so nice and tight now :) read more

The absolute WORST customer service that I have EVER experienced in my life. I went in to pick my dry cleaning, and after some hushed conversations in chinese, I was told that my "boyfriend" picked it up. I'm single. I explained that since I'm single that there is no way my bf came in and got my dry cleaning. They said that he came in and paid cash (not possible, I prepaid). I pointed that out and they still insisted that my bf came in and paid cash (meaning double-charging if the story were true). After 20 minutes of fighting and their insistence that I was wrong and my imaginary bf has my dry cleaning, I gave up and walked away, giving up on ever seeing my clothes again. The owners are deceptive liars who do not respect their customers. If you do end up using their services, I'd be interested to know what preposterous story they tell you to reason away their mistake. UPDATE: My dry cleaning was found and the owner apologized. Mistakes happen, but this incident was absurd and totally unprofessional. read more

They do awesome alterations but are a bit pricey! The first thing i had altered there was a prom dress and it was $150. Ive never been told how much it was going to cost untill after ive handed it over and am waiting for the pick up slip. So you can imagine my surprise when the alterations cost twice as much as the dress did. Also, be sure if you are having something taken in to say if it seems too tight because my stuff always comes back a little snugger than the pins she made (and im very thin so not sure how that happens). Overall they are great but im going to save them for special items im willing to spend more on to be perfect because most things i've had altered there were just right. read more

Wanted to get 5 shirts shortened and hemmed by 3 inches, they wanted $25 per shirt - went around to another place and they just charged me $15. The lady who spoke to us did want to know what we wanted done, but just said $25 per shirt. read more

Very Upsetting!!!!! Yes,she did sew the button on so that it was tight, however, I had never worn this $400 jacket and it was completely clean when I brought it to her. When I received it back, there were 3 large (about the size of a quarter) black grease-like stains on the sleeve! It is a cream colored blazer, so the dirt marks are very noticeable. When i showed them to her, all she said was "not me, i only sewed on the button". Well, it was her, and considering that she is also a cleaner, you would have thought that she would have at least offered to clean the spots, but she didn't. If the spots do not come out, i may as well throw the blazer away. You can't wear something that is cream colored if it has 3 large black grease-like spots on it! I will NEVER do business with with this completely unethical person again! BEWARE!!!!! read more
