Terrible experience - nails got infected - didn't see them satanize the machine after I was cut. Asked to not to come back because they blamed me for their actions in cutting my cuticles off. Even when I arrived they played favorites and kept moving me around to attend to their favorite customers.

Love Kim.... Love her family.... They're all such talented people! I've been going to Kim for the last two months... which I'm sad I have not heard of her business sooner!!! Kim does all of my designs and nails. I come in with a picture and she does everything she can to make my nails look SNATCHED! A new fill can last me up until 3 weeks with no lifting. I dont know how she does it, but that's a first! I am an athlete so I'm definitely not gentle with my nails. If you're looking for a new nail salon with honest pricing. This is the place to go!!!!

I went there two weeks ago for a full set and it is probably one of the best that I've had in a long time. Thickness was great, length was great, and the shape was perfect. I only broke one in two weeks (I always break my nails). They are still standing and fantastic. I'm so glad that I found Kim. Her and her daughter were great and the mimosa I had was fantastic! Second time at this local family owned gem! First visit I had a full set replaced with a beautiful new set and a deluxe pedicure. This visit I came in for a fill plus my pedicure and was asked if I wanted to try out this beautiful nail design by one of the owners. After the shellac they were too aggressive about using the nail filer on my nails and rubbed it on my cuticles. I have too many cuts on various fingers (this is just one finger) and this one is now starting to look infected. I also mentioned this as it was occurring and the man said well you need to relax your hand. I'm not sure what that has to do with it also it is hard to relax you are Taking a nail filer to my cuticle.I would never go back there.

Fantastic service! A friend just moved to the area and suggested that we try somewhere new. I was hesitant but extremely happy with the service, quality, cleanliness and friendliness! Excellent quality and attention to detail for dip nails. The pedicure chair and leg massage was heavenly. It was so nice to indulge after being in quarantine. I live 25 minutes away and I will definitely make the drive and come here regularly!

Had a fantastic duo Mani & Pedi today at the same time and the girls did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable. The deluxe pedicure is THE BEST you can find around here for the price point! So highly recommended!

I went there two weeks ago for a full set and it is probably one of the best that I've had in a long time. Thickness was great, length was great, and the shape was perfect. I just wanted a simple French manicure for a holiday party. I am so disappointed! it's only day two and the polish is already on self destruct! The girl who did my nails didn't speak English, so she had to keep asking the girl next to her to translate. It was so frustrating! When you know what you want and can't communicate it, it's aggravating. And now to have the polish flaking off already, I'm not happy. I know most people use the gel polish, but it trashes my nails when you remove it. I don't think expecting a regular manicure to last 5-7 days is asking too much. I will not go back. read more

They did a great job on my nails for a very reasonable price...The room was not air conditioned - very warm. Do NOT pull money from their ATM. I was told by the nail stylist, I would NOT be charged. I was charged for using their ATM. read more

The nail technician used an electric nail file to remove cuticles and rough up nail surface which is unnecessary and damages the nail. The amount of polish used was so thick that the nail looks bumpy. At the end of the gel manicure the technician filed the edges of the nail which is the opposite of a typical gel manicure where they make sure the edges are sealed and, as proof it is a bad practice, after a week the nail polish is chipping. Not going back. read more

I came in today to get a nice predicate and relax. I haven't had my nails done in over 6 months so I was very much so looking forward to it. I made the appointment and showed up on time only to be told after she started that she only had time to do the basic pedicure. I would've left and gone somewhere else had I know. I was going to get the most expensive package and enjoy my time and treat myself. Why say you have time for a pedicure and let me make and appointment when you realWhen she started she was just not being gentle at all cut my toe and just rushed through it. She was moving my feet around aggressively and just essentially making it a bad experience. Rubbed my legs super hard with exfoliant instead of lotion?? When she did my cuticles she was also very rough and the entire experience hurt which is why I was wincing and pulling my feet away! She also did a very sloppy gel French tip and I wasted my money and time that could've been spent somewhere that cared and was wanting to give good customer service. was really hoping this would be a good experience due to the fairly good reviews but I unfortunately will never be coming back again. I'm not sure if she was new to this or not but my feet and legs are torn up and I'm disappointed read more

I found Crystal Nail Spa through a couple recommendations. I spoke with and booked my appointment with Van. She was so pleasant and so helpful. These are my wedding nails so I wanted them to look really nice but know I have short nails and achieving certain looks is hard. I wanted an ombre French tip. Van worked with my length, not talking me into tips or telling me I needed them long. She suggested dip powder over my natural nail which I was fine with. The top picture is my inspiration Pic from Pinterest and the bottom two are my nails. She gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and I love them. I am so glad I came here. Van is fantastic. So friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She addressed me by my first name which just added that nice personal touch. Thank you Van! read more

They use disposable liners in pedi bowl so very sanitary and clean. Next door to the Grand Central Bakery. Easy parking and great location in the Cornel Plaza! Let me just say....TEN STARS! These folks are amazing. This family is just the best! I have super fragile/bendy nails. Let's get real...Im hard at work with my hands (nurse, outdoors enthusiast, play guitar), and, well...this is why I can't have nice things. UNTIL...Kim fixes my mani-disasters on the regular. Every time I think that my hands are beyond repair, she will stun me with my beautification. Her hubby is no less amazeballs. The pedicures - oh the pedicures. They are also genuine, kind, and overall super fun! The environment of the whole place has outstanding energy. It's a treat for me every time (and that's not just because they give me booze while in the spa). I highly recommend this spa. Everyone does an excellent job. You won't be disappointed!! Cheers! I took my grand daughters in and they wanted something a little different, the Nail techs were wonderful and the girl's nails turned out better than the picture. My nails were also very pretty and all of this at a fair price which was a nice surprise since we went to a different salon in happy valley months earlier, and they really over charged us. I would totally recommend crystal nails and we will be back.. read more

I have been searching for months to find a nail salon that I love, and I have finally found one!!! Crystal nails you guys!! I brought in an inspiration picture, and Van nailed it!! She was so sweet, and she really took her time to make sure that my nails were perfect and exactly what I wanted. The shape is perfect, they are all the same length (which is a first), and she did a beautiful job with the flowers! Everyone there is super nice, and the salon is beautiful, clean, and relaxing. Even though she tried not to show it. I told her the issue I would like to avoid- the edges always chip and lift after a week and I would like to get another week out of them if possible. When gluing the tips on she rushed through it, didn't size them appropriately, and only applied glue to the middle and didn't ensure the nails were completely glued on the edges. She stopped and left the station multiple times to gather different things and a certain point it seemed she chose to stop the process entirely to just finish with a rushed airbrushed version that looks terrible. She didn't communicate with me about her struggle to complete my request for dip ombré nails, or ask me if I would be ok with an airbrushed result. She just did it, leaving white paint all over my hands that would not come off for over an hour. I expected to pay around $60-65 max. So when I was told 74.00. I walked out paying 84.00 after tip for SIMPLE dip nails that were unprofessionally done with a stressed/unknowledgeable tech. I don't know if it was me, the day, the customer before me or what happened to make me receive the experience I did but I won't be back for a fill repair or replacement , just to pay overblown prices and walk out with nails I'm not happy with. It's been three days since getting them done and of course the edges are cracking, peeling and lifting. it's now very obvious she did not ensure quality of the tip fit or anything else as it looks like I need a fill, and repair, but probably better off with a full replacement of all nails....after 3 days. But like I said, Im not going back just to pay the same amount for poor results again.

The nail tech took 30 minutes longer to finish painting my sister's nails with normal paint than mine took doing several gel coats under the lamp... anyways the pain job was terrible and the lady just got up and stared at us, not finishing her toes or doing any of the finish oils that I got. Then I just heard they called my sister to ask why she never left a tip... what a joke of a salon very rude workers and will not return to this dumpy salon.

As far as the communication, I asked for a matching color and the tech used two different polishes for hands and feet. I wish I could have stopped her and clarified during the appointment but I had been there for so long I didn't want to take the time to have her start the polish process all over again. I don't think I'll go back but I will share this would have been a really nice spot had it not been for this poor first impression.

I've gone from a girl who only wore her hair in a ponytail or braids to keeping it unbound. I've gotten so many compliments and I just love the cut -- I can wear it straightened and curly and it looks just as good both ways. She responded very quickly to my message quickly when I expressed dissatisfaction with my hair afterward, and offered to redo the color but I'd rather wait for my hair to grow out as it's several inches too short and already has layers of color in it. I arrived at 11am for an appointment that my confirmation said would last until 1:30pm and we didn't finish until 4pm. She did my cut first and then did the baby lights- they added nice color and dimension to the hair as desired. But she then did my roots and combed the color through. While my color was processing, someone arrived for a haircut and had their haircut done while my color sat. Around 45 minutes later, my color was washed out and was darker than I expected- most of the baby lights were no longer visible. She mentioned the color will fade to be lighter as expected, but the result was surprising. I also asked for 2 inches or so to be cut, and mentioned I wanted to be able to put my hair in a ponytail still. When facing the mirror, the length was going great and she showed me it could still go in a ponytail. When turned around, I lost several inches for some reason and there was no going back. She took off even more in the back, and I left unable to put my hair in a ponytail. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication and she thought I wanted the grow out to be able to be in a ponytail, but I don't think so since she initially showed me she could put it in a ponytail. By 4pm I was tired and hungry and ready to get home- she asked if I wanted to see the hair blown out and styled which I did but just wasn't up for given the 5 hours I'd been there so I said no. There was also another person waiting for their 4pm appointment to start. When I did straighten it at home, I was surprised by my hair. I've gotten cuts that suit curly hair on many occasions and have always been able to wear the cuts straight too. This cut when straight appears uneven and choppy. The transition to the short back is awkward. She'd mentioned that at the end she'd go through and do any evening, cutting of long pieces etc needed but by then, as I'd mentioned, someone had shown up for another appointment at 4 and no additional cutting was done. I'm not sure if it was an off day, if my hair just took a few hours longer than expected or if she typically stacks appointments but things seemed rushed between the clients. I've never had someone try to do a whole haircut while dye sits on and I felt like my dye was likely left on too long due to it which resulted in the darker hair and missing baby lights. I've included pictures of my hair before the appointment length wise, what I asked for, and what I got. Given the many positive reviews, I'd say this could be chalked up to an off experience but given the starkly different results I thought it was worth sharing.

Kim is a QUEEN. I've been going to her for 4 years despite moving twice, the latest move having me living an hour away from the salon. I've tried having other people do my nails and no body else even compares. For acrylics, she does the thinnest, strongest, smoothest nails. You want short nails? She can do that. You want long nails? Check. You want coffin, stiletto, square? Check check check. She's got all the glitters and foils and gems your heart could ever dream of. Crystal nails is a family owned and run business which is super cool. It's a smaller salon which is nice because there aren't a million people in it at once. They've recently renovated and everything is brand spanking new, including the beautiful massage pedicure chairs; and guess what!!! They use liners in the pedi bowls!!! All the employees at this salon are the nicest of any other nail place I've been to - they're all friendly and personable and talkative. Another huge plus? First visit and I am very impressed with the cleanliness as well as the quality of the pedicure done. It's the first pedicure spa that I've seen that changes a disposable liner for the spa bowl between each client. Excellent idea! The instruments are sanitized in a light cabinet, and a new disposable package of pumice, toe separator and file are used for each client. It took me a year and a half to find a 'home' to do my nails in West Portland. Really near Beaverton. Michael listened to my request as far as thickness, length and most important that they look like real nails... The shop is clean, the music soothing, and All the staff are attentive and helpful.
