Came for the beautiful celebration of 2 people joining their hand in marriage. This place is gorgeous. The staff seemed very friendly. The food was amazing. My only complaint is there are a lot of hills. It's not very high heel friendly. We did see golf carts and shuttles but no one ever told us how, who, or where to get those. They also closed the entrance from where we came out of and had to walk around the resort. The grounds are beautiful and the indoor pool is amazing.

Our family came for a stay this past weekend with a group ranging from age two to seventy. Crystal Springs seemed to be a resort that promised a comfortable stay with activities for our entire age range. On the positive side of things, the property is stunning. Workers maintain the space on a daily basis (I even stumbled across a maintenance person WASHING the cinder block walls in the stairwell one day. That's a level of cleanliness I've never seen before). The biosphere, their tropical-themed indoor/outdoor pool, is a definite hotspot for families. There's a small water slide, an elevated jacuzzi, an indoor and outdoor swimming space (the outdoor pool is heated and open during the colder months), and even a small fish tank. Along with that, there's a daily schedule of activities to keep things interesting. During our stay, we enjoyed the live outdoor music on the patio, the campfire s'mores, and the glow-in-the-dark putting. The award-winning wine cellar is also a must-see for all oenophiles out there. Accessed by a fun spiraling staircase, it's an amazing space that can be toured for free with a guide. We opted for one such tour, which offered up fascinating tales and tidbits on their extensive and award-winning selection (all of which is for sale). There are also tastings available (for a nominal fee), which I missed and would have loved to partake. We stayed in a studio space, which was outfitted with a small kitchen and even a gas stove. I often appreciate these creature comforts as part of a comfortable stay, since it allowed us to pack perishables and snacks that we would have had to otherwise pay an arm and a leg for. There are some negatives. The property is extremely well-maintained, but there are definite signs of age. Our room, for instance, had an extremely old and dirty air conditioner with a broken directional vent. It blew right onto the bed, making for an unavoidably chilly sleep if the air was on. A lot of the activities listed take place at the Mineral Hotel, a sister property that's an 8 minute drive away. By the time we got back from one such activity, we found the parking garage completely full and had to search long and hard for another spot. For the most part, I found our stay to be expensive for what it was. Granted, we came at a peak season, but the biggest draw seems to be for golfers who might want to enjoy a comfortable stay on the property after their tee time.

From Philly to the resort was a bit of a drive but worth it. The spa service was professional, clean, and I was handled with care. The pool area looks larger in pictures than what it is. The outside of the resort grounds is nice as well. Very nice for pictures.

I played a 9 hole scramble on the cascades course and I really enjoyed the course. Carts include GPS There were some fun holes to play with beautiful scenery. I am unsure of the cost as I did not pay. I will be going back.

A Truly Special Getaway - Any Season of the Year Our stay at Crystal Springs Resort--both Grand Cascades Lodge and Minerals Hotel--was nothing short of extraordinary. The beauty of the property is breathtaking in every direction, no matter the season. Where else can you swim outdoors in a perfectly heated pool while snow is falling all around you? It's an unforgettable experience and one of the many things that makes this resort so special. Everything is immaculately clean, meticulously maintained, and thoughtfully designed for relaxation and comfort. The staff truly shines--warm, courteous, professional, and always willing to help. You feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you arrive. The food throughout the resort is absolutely delicious, with wonderful dining options to enjoy during your stay. While we do miss their fabulous breakfast buffet, we understand it's offered during the busier summer months--and it's certainly something to look forward to on a future visit. Whether you're planning a cozy winter escape or a vibrant summer getaway, don't think twice. Crystal Springs Resort delivers beauty, relaxation, exceptional service, and memorable experiences all year round.

Crystal Springs Left Me Hanging After My Car Was Damaged I played at Crystal Springs Golf Resort on July 21 (7:10 AM tee time) and discovered that a golf ball damaged my car after the round. I called right away and was told my information would be passed to the proper managers. A week went by with no call or email, so I followed up again. I was told the same thing -- that the managers would be contacted -- yet another week passed with complete silence. It has now been over two weeks since I first reported the incident, and I have received zero communication or acknowledgment from anyone at Crystal Springs. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience for me. In my opinion, the lack of care, urgency, and basic customer service shown in handling my situation was unacceptable. This experience has left me with no trust in the resort's ability to address customer concerns, and I am now pursuing the matter through legal channels.

Great Thanksgiving buffet. Huge dining hall. Nice decor. Ample seating. Delicious food with lots of choices. Very good raw bar, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, short rib, and desserts. Highly recommend.

The spa services and restaurant a Lator were great. My only complaint would be that I left some jewelry behind and I never got it back.

Any covid precautions? How crowded is it at this time of the year during weekends?

DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL!!! When you google this motel it shows vacancy through third party booking…read moresuch as Expedia BUT NOWHERE DOES IT DISPLAY THAT THIS MOTEL IS NOT 24 HOURS. My house ran out of power and heat due to the BAD snowstorm and in the middle of the night I booked a room for 90$ with this motel, and they WEREN'T EVEN OPEN!!! My cellphone battery died and I was left stranded in the middle of a snowstorm AT 3AM!!!!!! Thankfully a stranger at a nearby gas station guided me towards a highway that would lead me to more hotels that were actually 24 hours. Later when Sussex Motel opened, I called and explained my situation to the representative. The woman I spoke to cancelled my reservation as we were on the phone and said I would get my refund within 10 business days. That was January 28th and it is now March 2nd. After 10 days I called for weeks, and they refused to answer the phone. When they finally answered I was told that I should have received it and that they will speak to their superior to see what happened. When I called again for an update, I was told that I would not be getting my money back and that there was some sort of mix up with my name which made absolutely no sense to me. I paid 90$ for a room I never even stayed in, for a motel that doesn't even stay open for 24hours. After telling me for more than a month I would get my refund they turned around and said that I wasn't and stole my money, claiming my refund went against cancellation policy. If that were true, then why was I told that I would be receiving a refund to begin with? DISGUSTING AND BEYOND UNPROFFESSIONAL. I reported this motel to the better business bureau, The Advertiser News North, and Sussex County Court for stealing my money and having misleading information online. My lawyer is reaching out to them as well and they aren't answering. I hope this review protects others from having a horrible experience with Sussex Motel.

Bait and Switch; Safety Issues; Non-responsive…read more In early November, our group stayed at one of their properties and found that the description and photographs were not accurate. We also reported safety issues directly to the listing agent and have still not received a response from the company. I would caution anyone who is considering renting from HVLR. I initially found the property and booked it through Air BnB. Hudson Valley Luxury Resorts then cancelled the listing and requested that I book directly through their website, offering a discount. I had no other option since they had cancelled on their end and there were no other properties available for our desired time and location. Since cancelling our stay, they have since re-listed the property on Air BnB, for which there are no reviews available. The listing described a 'unparalleled escape for those seeking luxury, privacy, and natural beauty' and 'historic property has been meticulously updated to offer the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern amenities.' Neither of these statements are accurate. Just before check-in, the host called us to let us know that the house was historic and had some quirks. This was the first indication that the property was not what was advertised. Over the four nights we stayed, we found the following issues: 1. Inaccessible first floor half bath due to missing doorknobs. 2. Three of the upstairs bathrooms did not have fully functional showers or hot water. In the first bathroom, the tub drain was clogged and the shower curtain was not big enough to enclose the tub. Additionally the faucet leaked from the handles when it was turned on. In the second bathroom, the shower head did not function at all. In the third bathroom, one sink did not have any hot-water. 3. None of the upstairs bedrooms had functioning wall switches and most of the wall sconces were missing lightbulbs. Two light fixtures had faulty wiring evidenced by the intermittent flickering of the lights. 4. One upstairs bedroom had a broken doorknob, which meant you had to leave the door cracked or else be locked in/out. 5. Multiple windows had visible gaps open to the outside and few radiators actually worked. We were told to keep the thermostat at 67 degrees the entire time, which made for a very uncomfortable stay. 6. Flaking paint and torn rugs created a hazard for the toddlers and kids in our group. This brings us to the safety concerns: There wasn't a single working smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector in the house. We checked the existing devices and none of them responded to the test button or indicated they had power. The host told us we could use the fireplace as long as we kept it small (3 logs or fewer). With the flue open, a 2 log fire smoked out the entire first floor. It was only then we noticed the absence of any fire safety monitors. With two young children in the group, we immediately reported the issue to the host who said they "will check on that". I also reported these issues immediately to Ryan, the listing agent. I also tried the generic "info@hudsonvalleyluxuryresorts.com" email. After 72 hours we haven't received an acknowledgement. The icing on the cake was that my toddler found a used condom near the side door as we were checking out. Aside from the safety issues, I still would have been willing to rent if the listing was accurate and the price reflected a drafty, historic home with 3 of 7 usable showers, and hit-or-miss electricity.

I will not be taking him back, ever. There is so much more to the story as I have talked to other dog parents about kennel cough at this place. Seems like a couple of other reviews mention this. I have taken him to another daycare when I lived near Elmwood Park and I have never had this issue and right away I notice that this other daycare always had someone watching the dogs at all times and their cameras always worked . I do not recommend this place for small dogs.
