We had MSI Trecento XL Carrara Avell flooring installed throughout our home, and the finished flooring is absolutely beautiful. It has transformed our home, the new baseboards look great, and we are very happy with the overall result. The installation did take considerably longer than expected due to scheduling delays, the extensive floor preparation that was needed, and later an unexpected shortage of flooring material. The amount of dust generated during the work also made it necessary for us to stay in a hotel for 11 nights. What I especially appreciated was how Rudy handled the difficulties. He remained professional, listened to our concerns, apologized for the problems we experienced, and worked with us on compensation that covered much of our hotel expense. However, once installation started, things changed significantly. The crew arrived late every day -- typically 30 minutes to an hour and a half -- without any prior notice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Communication with the contractor during the project was difficult to maintain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The project was quoted as taking 1-3 days but ended up taking 6 days. While some of the delay was due to necessary leveling work, the first day consisted only of carpet removal with less than 4 hours of actual work. The flooring itself looks great. However, the finished work left several issues: gaps along the baseboards, paint damage on the walls, and pink staining in multiple areas. One gap measured nearly 1/4 inch and was only addressed after I raised it myself-- it was not proactively caught or fixed by the crew. Additional smaller gaps remain unresolved. The walls and baseboards were noticeably more damaged after installation than before. The initial impression was positive, which made the overall experience all the more disappointing. I explained where the discrepancies were and waited for another quote, which was also incorrect. I'm not sure where the communication breakdown was but obviously this company wasn't listening to me. On a whim, I created a yelp project for assistance with laminate floor installation last Saturday. Within a few minutes, Nestor contacted me and sent me a link with a few options that aligned with what I was looking for. I originally planned on purchasing flooring from Lowe's and having them do an installation, but the responsiveness and professionalism of the redeemed flooring team convince me to do otherwise. They had Hugo come out to my place in Oakland for a measurement, he answered all my questions and his knowledge and experience in this industry was evident. Andre contacted me with the estimates very soon after, offered some alternatives, and was willing to break down the numbers for me in a way that I understood. My project has a tight turnaround and their team was more than willing to meet the challenge. Though the price per square foot was more than what I was expecting when comparing prices to Lowe's, redeemed flooring was transparent, with all of the additional cost upfront and their pricing included several items that were extra $ when discussing with Lowe's. I got new flooring with install from Redeemed Flooring. From start to finish, everyone at the company was patient, responsive, and easy to work with. When we were selecting flooring, they brought samples to the house so that it was easier to tell what the end product would look like. This is crucial because lighting in the store, online pic, and in your house is very different. They recognize this, and were very helpful and patient throughout the selection process. Also, they are very knowledgeable about flooring ins and outs, so I think it's important to ask questions, get their suggestions, and make decisions after you have considered their input. All paperwork and payments were done online, which was very convenient for me. They do require upfront payment for the full amount before the work start date. Scheduling the work was also a breeze. They really make you feel like you are their most important customer. At the start of the work, I met with the project lead and discussed finer details of the work. Due to the age of the house, there were details for working on the baseboards that was unusual, so I went over that and they accommodated the request no problems. They completed the work 2 days before the scheduled completion date, which was great. Once the work was done, during the final inspection, they were also very accommodating with requests for very detailed final touch ups to finish the project. That said, they really paid attention to the finer details of the flooring, like making flooring flush to the wall in tight corners, trimming trims and baseboards, etc., which made me very happy. I am a small business owner and leaving negative yelp reviews is very out of character for me. I know how hard it is to run a small business and yet, I've found Redeemed's professional behavior both unethical and fraudulent. My business' are pole dance studios. We purchased two floors from redeemed, the first one for my Oakland pole dance studio and the second for my Berkeley pole dance studio. Tl;dr, After almost 40K$ spent with this business and two different jobs, I would not recommend Redeemed. While their original install was good and they were pleasurable to work with, they have been dishonest in their dealings, left my team waiting for them multiple times and not fixed the issues as promised. Timeline: We were really excited to get these floors as we've saving up for years to be able to afford them. The oakland flooring came to a total of just over 19K$ with an install date on 9/9/24. The first chip in the floor was found on 6/26/25 (7 months without any issues - which is great). When we contacted Rudy, [[HIGHLIGHT]]scheduling was a bit messy, but they did come out on 7/23, almost a month later.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The tech reported that the pole "placed on top of the flooring was screwed in extremely tightly, which caused excessive pressure on the floor. This pressure pushed the flooring down to the point where the click system could be damaged, and this is what caused the issue." This was not a sufficient solution because the tension on the poles is what keeps them upright, our students safe and our business running. Redeemed knew in advance that we were a pole dance studio using the studio with poles installed on top. More cracks and splits were noted on 9/25/25,. We contacted Rudy Asked if there was a way to fix without loosening the poles, he said he would get back to me. We reached out again on 9/30/25 after not hearing back: said he was concerned about damage happening again, I said we would be happy to pay for the service as we are past warranty. Again, he said he would get back to me and did not get back. We reached out again on 10/3/25 after not hearing back. Rudy asked if studio was open and said he would come check it out. Later that day he told me that "the trip to Oakland is canceled". I was told to be patient as they are busy. When I reached out to Andre on 10/6/25 to ask about an estimate, he told me to talk to Rudy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rudy reached out on 10/6/25 to come check out the studio. He arrived around 5p and he was shown around the space to see the damaged areas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I reached out on 10/14/25 after not hearing follow up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rudy said he would get back to me when his crew was available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On 10/15/25 I sent photos of some additional cracking and lifting of baseboards; again no response. We tried calling Andre an additiona several times between 10/14-11/11 and still received no response. It seems we've been blacklisted after two months on non response or inaccurate response. At our berkeley studio, we had new floors installed on 6/9/25 with total cost just over 19K$. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We noticed the first crack on 10/14/25, were asked to send a photo and told that Hugo might be able to come by that day to assess. No response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today, we received a message from Rudy, saying that he plans to visit Berkeley to assess damage but based on past experience, I'm having a hard time trusting anything that we are told by Redeemed. From a friend of a friend I had heard of Redeemed so I gave them a call for my ~600 sqft flooring project in San Francisco. I From the very beginning they were very professional and easy to work with. The project manager, Rudy, was clear and very communicative and explained the project and issues we found. I did the entire project over FaceTime as I wasn't available near the property for the project and they were very accommodating. The installer, Hugo, did a fantastic job on the actual floors even when there was a relatively complex installation that had to be coordinated with a mold remediation company and also having to work with the existing radiant heating. Unfortunately, after a year my concerns about paying a small fortune for floors and trusting this company to install it are coming to an undesirable light. Rudy and Hugo earned my trust, and I genuinely like them as people. I believed that they would send installers properly trained in exceeding customer expectations. In hindsight, I should have communicated that the installers did not seem properly trained to install this flooring in my home at the first sign of their lack of attention to detail. I had to have them take up the floor a few times because of various defects. I unwisely thought that they would learn to pay attention and do it right the first time to not waste time and energy taking up large sections of floor to fix mistakes. But that didn't happen. I got really tired of not having a kitchen so I let them continue the work. And now a little more than a year later the actual amount of places where this floor is failing, where I am guessing the installers likely used floor pieces with broken tongue and grooves is slowly growing. They didn't take advantage of the overage that I paid for so I have boxes of overage that I bought for no reason. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hugo and Rudy know they have to come fix the floor and they have not had the time yet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have doubts anyway about their proposed fix and how long it will actually last. I think taking up the whole floor and redoing it the right way is the honorable thing to do even though I really don't want to be without a kitchen again. Hopefully, they take this criticism and use it positively to grow and become better. Truth is important and I don't want other people that work hard and save for things like this to have my experience. I included a few photos of chipped floor pieces they used, they didn't inspect boards to check for large color variance, they didn't seal off my balcony during demolition so concrete dust spread all over my upstairs, they dented our stainless steel fridge, they broke sprinkler drips in our front yard where they set up their saws, they used glue in places and didn't wipe it up properly and it stained a couple boards. I can give them grace on a lot of these things but the floor failing is really an issue. read more
