When I inquired into the authenticity of the machine, I was told it was actually different, cheaper product from a different manufacturer. The owner, Natalie, was aggressive, rude, mocking, and insisted she had a right to use a copyrighted name for a fake product (!). This is just ridiculous: if I bought a Chanel handbag and found out it was a fake, I would have the right to return it. If I went to a pharmacy and the pharmacist had swapped out Tylenol for Advil, they would be horrified and apologetic. The owner broke multiple laws, including theft of intellectual property and false advertising. She is currently being investigated by the state and the owners of Emsculpt. I have friends who work in the aesthetics industry and they always say do your research before choosing a med spa. These machines can really hurt you and it's clear that Natalie does not care about safety or consumer satisfaction. She is a dangerous. and irresponsible liar. The salon is also dirty and dingy looking. (On a positive note, the technician Drea was great, professional, and friendly. I've encountered her at other salons and hope she finds employment elsewhere. If Natalie treats her customers so badly, I can only imagine how poorly she must treat her employees).

As soon as I sat in her chair for my hair trial, I knew I was in good hands. I hadn't had my hair done since my senior prom and every blowout I've ever had disappears in a matter of hours. I had some vague instructions/inspiration pictures, but Kristin really listened to me and offered her expertise when it was clear I really wasn't sure of my vision. During the trial, she tried out a couple different things and listened to me when I told her to use way more hairspray than she thought was necessary. I expected her to be on my a** for clear instructions for my bridesmaids, but she never pressured me to make decisions I didn't want to and was totally flexible to tailor each girl's style on the day-of without compromising on time. Even when someone in my party went MIA and threw off the timeline, Kristin kept her cool and pivoted to make the most of the time. We went in on a Sunday, so Kristin let us take over her studio so we could hang out together, get dressed, blast music, and eat snacks. She was a gracious host and even let our traveling makeup artists set up shop in her chairs. The space is also super funky and I am elated with how the pictures came out. As for the finished product - I could have cried. I felt like an absolute princess surrounded by a all of my fairy godmothers. My hair was better than I could have imagined because she was not afraid to use her judgement to create something she knew would be beautiful. She also deviated a bit (in the best way) from what we had done at the trial, which told me she was being very thoughtful and not just using muscle memory to play it safe.
