Never seeing this little hidden bakery entrance to the left of the main door. How did I find out about this bakery retail store? My co-workers have been telling me for years and I never put two and two together. A co-worker last week has to sit me down and convince me that there is another door, it is the left of the main entrance, and there is a bakery in there that is not connected to the main market. I went and was transformed to a sweet bakery world. The sweet smells hit me like a wave of happiness as I entered, the low prices amazed me, and the service brought me back to Chinatown Manhattan. Just like a Korean or Chinese bakery, everything is under $1. You grab a metal tray and a pair of tongs, then walk around the entire room, plucking the best of the beautiful baked buns and sweets from glass cases. Then, bring everything to the register and check out. I said out loud, "This reminds me of a Chinese bakery." And, a man and his wife overheard me, he said he is from Taiwan.
