There is ALWAYS Over an hour wait to get screened, and then at least a 30 min wait to get started. The management does not care about the donors. Usually there are only 2 screeners, and usually just one available. It's ridiculous the amount of time wasted here. The managers are rude and simply don't care. If your a first donor i wouldnt advise people not to go to this location, I currently lost my job so I've been relying on donations for money and now I can't donate for a whole week because these people keep bruising my arms I do have picky veins but I never had this problem when I was going to the northglenn location i understand they're understaffed but this is ridiculous. I've been here almost two hours and I still have to wait in line another 45 minutes. They take extremely to long to move donors in and out of here. And I'm not even a first time donor. I waited in line 45 minutes. Then asked to see the nurse and had to wait another 20 minutes just to see her and give her one simple stupid signature . Now I've lost my place and they have set me back another 45 minutes . All because of a stupid signature. They need to find a better slot to have the nurse come in during your screening to have you sign that stupid consent instead of wasting my time. Im a single father. Im here because I need the money to feed my child. In which I need to pick up from school soon on the bus and these idiots are taking their time. They don't accommodate the people waiting and don't even provide chairs for the people in line . Thus makes me not want to ever donate plasma . screw the patients that need it what about us that donate it !!!!!!!!!!! I would give zero stars if I could for the following reasons: You wait in line for hours. Most of the staff are rude and do not like their jobs. The equipment is out dated. THE BIGGEST reason NOT TP DONATE with CSL (in general) YOU CANNOT GET YOUR MONEY!!!! It is impossible to use your card in a ATM and if you should find a ATM that will give you money you can only get $400 . Precautions to protect health of donors actually LOWER since before the pandemic even struck. Though they say masks are required if you have not been vaxxed, there is zero enforcement of this. The lines are incredibly long since they raised donor fees, and more than half are unvaxxed, will brag in line that they're "not gonna get that jab"... and all THREE of the donors in line that made this statement in joyous solidarity were coughing and/or sneezing and/or sniffling.... the woman in the pic proclaiming it due to "allergies" (as if that stops the aerosol spew of droplets), which would have gotten you deferred in itself back when this Center was run semi professionally. This place should be shut down. They are the ONLY plasma center not requiring masks. If you see yourself in this photo and object to the evidence of unsafe behavior putting others at risk while they're trapped in a donation bed, perhaps you should have masked up so you would not recognize yourself. One of the donors who was sneezing and coughing complained about this accurate info appearing on Yelp. This review and these photos are being distributed everywhere on the web. It's important for public safety. There is no level of "donor fee" that is worth the risk this irresponsible plasma center willfully puts you and the community in and I sincerely hope they will be shut down sooner rather than later. I visited Aurora CSL PLASMA Center beginning February 2023. It truly was the worst experience of my life. No medical staff anywhere. It's run by 4 racist security staff. Got no assistance. They were excessively rude to me for asking questions never having been there before. When I asked why they're being rude to me the answer was all four surrounded me with threatening posturing and told me to leave otherwise they'll call the Aurora police department. After taking 2 weeks to recover after this traumatic experience I called CSL PLASMA CENTER ARVADA and was met with exceptionally and welcoming people. I've been going there twice a week solidly for 6 weeks and I don't have a single complaint. The people have consistently been excellent on every level imaginable. Helpful, friendly, courteous, professional - absolutely everything one could wish for. So what a ride it's been from Aurora to Arvada from hell straight to heaven!!! It's a total pleasure for me to go to the Arvada center twice weekly and I look forward to it every time. When I related my horrible experience at Aurora to the head nurse at Arvada she said she had the same disgusting experience at the Aurora facility as mine. Good luck choosing!!! read more

I think the staff are wonderful but since it is getting monotonous for them, I know it would be for me. The to facilities I've been in seemed up the par clean and functional. My only true complaint about CSL is the payment system that card is a joke it does nothing but take little bits of money from you you even check your balance and you're overdrawn you get a charge if you use your card and the merchant doubles the charge up for deposit reasons you get a charge everything is an extra charge so CSL you got a lot of great people donating a lot of Life giving plasma do better please have it to where they don't charge us for this charges for that so we can get the money that we donated for . The only reason I'm giving a one-star rating is simply the payment system that payment card like I said before is a total joke and it does nothing but insult your donors intelligence and it's a slap in our face as I said before CSL do better read more

What a dreadful place. I have no idea why they choose to make donating plasma so difficult and pointlessly complicated, or why they employ such awful staff, but they do. Trying to sign up is frustrating, convoluted, and irritating. Csl plasma is a plasma donating facility in aurora. Your not paid alot, but when you have the ability to a. save lives, b. go on your on schedule (during open hours) and c. make a little side cash, I really don't see any reason to be bitter. For me personally, I drive about 20 miles 2 times a week to cash in $67 a week (I'm paid $32 on my first visit of the week and $45 on the second donation). If I lived closer, this would be a slam dunk of a commitment. From the time I leave my house, until the time I'm home, my commitment is about 3 hours. It takes me 45 minutes to donate my plasma, but I tend to not drink enough water so I think that number could be less for many others. The beginning stage of being prescreened each visit is where the time can build up depending on lines. When the center opens at 6am, there are already, at minimum, 10+ people in line. I actually spoke with a guy who claims he arrives at 415am just to be the first donor through the doors, yet ironically, I've arrived at 545am to be the 5th or 6th in line, and still have left the facility before him (that's what I considering #winning). Now for your very first visit, it's a woozy. Bring an i.d. and a piece of mail with proof of address (very important). The process is tedious and can turn you off from the process. I believe all in all my first visit was a good 3-4 hours (without my drive time). But you are rewarded heavier for your first 4 visits in pay, before dropping down to normal pay scale (see picture). You are able to donate no more than 2 times in a 7 day period, and those 2 visits must be separated by a day (if you go Monday, must wait till wednesday). On a normal visit, you immediately jump on a computer to be pre screened with about 24 questions (same 24 every visit). You than move into a line to wait to be seen by a screener who will check your temp, blood pressure, arms for bruises, check the protein in your blood (via a prick). If you pass all the tests, you win a trip to the back room line to wait to have your plasma drawn! I've seen lines up to 25 people long! You are given a reloadable debit/credit card which is where all your money will go. You can than take that card to an atm to cash out, or use the card for any purchases. They do tack on a .25 fee every time you use the card, so beware. I've never had problems with the card. You first register the card online through cslplasma.com and than you do have the ability to check balances via that or do the nifty way by texting 44554, which links your account, and will send you up to the minute texts of your balance. I've found that the employees here can be good but can also be "green". I'm sure it's difficult dealing with certain individuals. The turnover the past year has been hard to see, but I feel as though I have developed good relationships with some people who recognize me coming 2 times a week. But some of the newer and younger kids who have the ability to stick you with a needle (and potentially do it wrong and disqualify you from coming back by a minor error) is intimidating. The center recently dropped the rate of pay by 3 dollars (used to be 35 for first donation) which I felt was super cheap, and they also removed all of the tv's (so now you need to either listen to their musical preference or bring headphones yourself). They have a security guard who works the afternoon and night shifts, who isn't very pleasant and frankly just sits there. The center also offers bonuses each month (20 extra dollars for your 6th donation, etc) Overall, I've been coming 2 times a week for over a year to make extra money, and a few times I've been meh towards this place, but frankly I look at it as a second job and that I have to show up, which makes swallowing it easier. Today while donating at CSL the needle started shaking in my arm causing a burning sensation. The closet person to me was a girl name Adden I was trying to get her attention, however she was too busy drawing skelton's on her glove. Then when I finally got her attention she acted like I was bothering her. I told her stop the machine my arm is burning, she said you don't have to be rude i said I've called you 5 times. She said well its loud in here , I said well take this needle out my arm its burning she then had the nerve to say I was yelling at her. However a few minutes ago you couldnt hear me because its loud so which is it? Everything always seems to be a issue about what the donor is doing come on CSL check your employees if they have time to do artwork on their gloves something is wrong with your system. I gave a one because I couldn't give a zero. I also called corporate regarding this issue. read more

This is regarding my visit on 3-18-2024 - Aurora, CO center/location I arrived and only 5 people were ahead of me in line. During this time 4 'new donors' were put in front of the line. After over an hour waiting for a screening booth, the person in the booth told me I had to have a medical review and I couldn't donate. Why isn't this information available when doing the app check-in? It should be so that time isn't wasted. This center is terrible when it comes to the scheduling. I don't know who the manager is but he/she is inept at her job. Having 1 person screening towards the end of a day is ridiculous. Allowing screeners to take breaks without having someone fill their spot during that break is unacceptable. Waiting over an hour to be screened is ridiculous. You have no regard for people's time and that is unacceptable in a place of business where you are working with clients. This is management 101 when it comes to 'customer service' which is what you are providing. Why is the Arvada location so much better? They do not have the wait times that Aurora does. I have family that lives there and donates at that location where they can be in-out in 1 hour! This place you have to allow no less than 2 hours no matter what. I have waited up to 3-4 hours NOT being a new donor! When I asked the person in the screening booth why this information that I needed a medical review isn't readily available through the app it was a terrible answer of 'we don't have anything to do with the app - we don't have interaction with the app'. Like heck you don't. You have all our information that is provided to you through the app when we check in. Lame excuses only makes people more upset. The attitude of the people that work there is far too 'I can go at my own pace' mentality. There are other blood donation places that would love to have my blood. Back in September I was pulled aside to ask if I would participate in the Anti-D program and I said yes. They said someone from Greeley would call me - as of today 3-19-2024, that call has not been received. So I guess being O-negative really isn't something you are interested in. read more

There are only 2 people working here, I've been here for 1.5 hours and there are still 9 people in front of me. Maybe pay people more than 13.96 an hour? I dunno, I won't get this time back. We all know what you guys get for plasma so I don't understand why it's so slow here and why you pay people so low. Denver/Aurora aren't cheap places to live. There are only 2 CSL centers in the Denver metro area and they're both 30 minutes away. This place is unreasonably slow. They will have a line of 20-30 people waiting to be screened in yet only 1 person doing the screening which means you'll be waiting at least 1.5 hours before you're even to the back as a return donor. The people doing the sticks have no idea what their doing, I've been to many centers and this center by far has the worst trained people. They stick incredibly slow and miss the vein most of the time. The staff is rude and short with people and 0 customer service. I don't understand the lack of training or professionalism. I started donating here in August 2021. If you have never donated plasma for $$ it can seem very stringent and lots of busy work to be approved as a donor. Fact is that the company collecting has to ensure they keep people safe. Right now due to covid the location is short staffed. This can sometimes cause long wait times, however, I feel well cared for during the process. This makes me appreciate them and they are very professional and respectful. This is the worst plasma center in Colorado don't go to this center go down the street to biomat USA they are really nice and respectful CSL plasma took the TVs away you can't charge your phone in the center and if somebody calls you you can't even answer your phone everybody's super rude they give you $20 for a donation when biomat starts you off at 32 and goes up they were having trouble putting my money on my card I had to go to King Soopers three times and go back to the center and they were giving me a hard time cuz I was a little upset and almost got into a fight with the assistant manager there. read more

Injured with no compensation. Toward the end of my donation (last return before saline run), the red blood cells were slow at returning into my arm. The technician said that it was due to HIGH PRESSURE RETURN and began roughly worming the needle around in my arm in an attempt to adjust it and make the return process faster. I felt a very sharp pain and told the technician woman to NOT INFILTRATE ME. She stated that she had not and walked away. I drove an hour to get to my farm in the dark (early evening). By the time I got home, bruising had already occurred. The next morning, the bruising was substantial with a lot of blood having appeared under the skin above the elbow in an area of 3" diameter. I would now be disqualified from being able to donate for another week. My household depends on the funds I receive from donating due to the mess with Colorado Unemployment - who has now owed me benefits for three months. Even though it is the POLICY for CSL to NOT COMPENSATE someone that there employees have injured, there is no excuse for such a policy as persons can be harmed. My wife spoke with the Asst. Mgr. at CSL two days after I was injured and he stated basically that personal injury is part of the process sometimes and persons are not compensated for that at all. At the very least, if a person is injured / harmed and not able to donate due to being injured by a Technician, the plasma center should pay the injured person at least for half of what they would have paid for a donation (in this case a whopping $25 would have been acceptable). Biomat in Colorado Springs is a far better donation facility. read more

I like to donate at this place, but their equipment seems to be a bit outdated. I've been donating for over 20 years. Seems that there machines that take temperatures are inaccurate. This is happened to me in the past before only at this location thou. I've been deferred three times over having high temperatures of 99 degrees. But yet when I get home, and I use my digital thermometers it reads normal. It just happens to be on the very last day of the month that I personally donate that this happens to occur. I don't think this is right, because not only do I not get my bonus, but I seem to be perfectly normal, and, I'm not sick. Makes me want to go donate at a different location, or company. Went to sell plasma here for the first time today. Waiting room was neither as clean, nor as dirty, as stated in previous reviews. It simply is what it is: a waiting room that sees a high volume of people, 6 days a week, some of whom don't have the best hygiene habits. More DMV, less doctor's office. Similarly, the staff were neither as nice, nor as rude, as stated in previous reviews. As with most interactions with high-volume customer service folks, you get what you give. They get used to dealing with foolishness, and can be a little jaded. See DMV comment above. Here, the one exception was the unnecessary security guard. While I was waiting for some paperwork to be processed, I tried to engage with him, one security professional to another, but he acted as if I didn't exist. Otherwise, the staff were very professional, if a little distant and formal. Having personally used this coping mechanism, I can respect that. However, many people mistake this formality for rudeness. For your first visit, budget 3-4 hours for intake, screening and physical. Bring 3 items with you: 1. Photo ID. 2. Social Security Card 3. Proof of local residency from within the last 30 days (lease, electric bill, etc.) If you do not have ALL 3, you will be turned away, as I was the first time. The corporate website, said the proof of residency document needed to be "recent," but then didn't define what that meant. Current introductory rates are $60 for first visit, $75 for second, $60 for third, and $75 for fourth, if all 4 visits are within 45 days. Rates drop after the first 4 visits, but I failed to note what they were. A note on my use of the word "sell," above. We can dress it up as "donating" all we want, but at the end of the day we are receiving money in exchange for giving over part of our body. That is selling. I was deferred over a year ago and wasn't going to return. But recently found myself in need of some money. I was going to get a part time job. But I went back last Tuesday and everything went so well! They have new staff which included a new nurse. I was very happy I came back instead of getting a part time job. I like knowing I'm doing something for the community especially when it helps to save lives. Last Thursday I went in fir my second donation and the phlebotomist had trouble with the needle stick. At first it didn't hurt but she thought she stuck "under" the vein. When she moved it, it hurt a little. I ended up with some bruising and had to see the nurse. Turned out it was the dirty nurse that deferred me last time! I knew he was going to defer me again. He has long, greasy, grey hair he keeps in a pony tail. He should be avoided at all cost. He told me it had to be "reported" and "resolved" by a doctor before I could donate again. When I told him if he deferred me over a bruise that they caused I wasn't coming back. He just sat there staring at me. I would expect someone in his position to try and get me to continue donating. Maybe explain the process and timing of the resolution. Maybe assure me I could still make the rest of the donation money. Maybe he could have reminded me how important it was to donate. But nope. He just sat there. Donate anywhere but here. And if you go here anyway, watch out for that nurse. read more

So, for the most part i really like CSL plasma in the day. The people who work there are really nice and everything and very understanding. And i do not have a problem at all with the staff at any of their clinics. BUT the reason for the one star is the sheer fact that years ago i was perma deffered for being gay, and now granted back then i understood because that was the law and i didnt know it until they told me. BUT this week i went back and they said "Oh you can donate dont worry!" and then after sitting in their lobby for about 2 hours they finally call me back just to say im perma deffered again. Why? because apparently since i am gay still and used to be a donor they still cant accept my plasma! Now the staff was very nice and courteous, im not going to rag on them. No the company in itself needs new ownership because obviously the STILL do not like the fact that I as a gay man want to donate plasma. So all in all Individual store? 4.5/5.
