Donating plasma is something I love to do. I want to shout out to Marissa and Philly for quick efficient sticks. I'm not a fan of needles and the initial stick (and sometimes the pull) hurt. I have been donating for 3 years. In 210 donations I have never had any issues. Sometimes it is really busy and you have to wait a while but they always apologize for the wait. My last donation Christina hooked me up and took me off the machine. She is very nice. She does her job really well. She does the needle insertion so you hardly feel it. I have previously donated my plasma at xxxx pharma plasma center here in Denver several times with out a single issue. I had made a switch to Grifols to take advantage of there new Downer pay outs. This proved to be a very negative experience with very bad results. My first donation was smooth with out issue. Second was a failure with reposition attempts and multiple restricts. Left the center with both arms wrapped in ice packs and a return of blood failure. The reposition attempts seemed extreme with the so called vain specialist cranking the needle sideways creating the needle area to swell significantly. They sent an other employee to insert a new needle into my other arm. He seemed to be uncopident and had a so called vain specialist direct him which vain he should use. The needle looked to be placed a bit on the deep side and after about 10 minutes the location swelled up. They pulled the needle without a full blood return. Both my arms in countered bruising that took a week and a half to go away. I went back after I got rid of the bruising to have yet again a failure that required reposition attempts and three restricts. After spending an other week plus using ice and heat to cure the bruising. I went back to give a donation to find out they put me on a list that required me to be reviewed by there vain specialist. They acted as if there was a problem with my veins and told me to do exercises and come back in a week and a half. This left me frustrated and they acted as if I was the problem. I returned to xxxx pharma and had a completely smooth donation with no issues. My personal experience with Grifols was very bad. Multiple times with bruising and trauma to my arms. The team on the floor seemed to me as lacking compliance and having issues with inserting the needle correctly. I did not ever feel like that when I donated at Octo pharma. Never a issue with them missing a vain or leaving there center bruised. read more

I just moved to CO recently from KS a little less than a year ago. I was a long time and consistent donator at CSL, though I have donated at a Grifols before. I'm not sure why I waited so long to get back into it. I came here around 11am on a Friday morning. It wasn't very busy and I was helped right away. Every staff member I came in contact with was very friendly. From checking in, the physical exam, and the efficiency in the donor bay. The whole process was very quick and efficient! I was so surprised because I knew I had to go through the new donor process all over again. I was in and out. From 11-1. I was apprehensive to just go and get it done, especially due to the other reviews left for this center. The whole experience was great from start to finish; I'll definitely be back! read more

Ive been going to here for a few months now and at 1st it was $40 for your 1st abd $80 for your 2nd. Now things have changed. In the last month it went from that to $40 -$70. Now i dont know why but they never notified anyone of these changes plus i read that on average plasma centers make $5000 off of every donation. Now if this is true why the pay cut? Seems to me they could and should pay at least $50 for the 1st and $100 for the 2nd. But thats just my opinion. I know some people donate as a second income. Inflation is real. Everything is high as hell. I just dont get it. read more

Listen I am from a very biracial family and I don't see color, however I am letting you know this donating center is very prejudice ! I saw 3 people of color turned away due to supposedly having too small veins. I saw 2 people not of color accepted however struggling to finish their donation on the machine. I am of color and wasn't turned away , however the person who did my stick went through my vein. I would rather go to CSL and STAND in line for three hours waiting to be assessed then go through this center. The Spanish ladies cater to the Spanish people and no one else is a priority. I donate plasma because my nephew is a burn victim , shame on you biomat for treating this process as a luxury to get money instead of a life saving process. Hopefully no one in your family will ever need plasma for life saving medicine, however someone in my family does and you are not making this process easy. A 2020 new donor review: Fantastic center. The staff is polite and efficient. They are EXTREMELY effective with sanitization and safety with COVID. This center is always BUSY, which may lead to some delays for some donors. However, it's easy to set appointments and stay mostly on time as planned. Some tips: 1. Read the website. It has all the information you need, specifically what documents you need and some common details that could disqualify you from donating. 2. First time donor? Call the morning of the day you want to go in so you can make an appointment. AFTER you complete your first donation, you'll be able to make an account online and schedule regular appointments! 3. Bring a light jacket. The temperature is nice and cool, but note that near the end of your donation you'll get an IV and that makes you feel COLD for a bit. 4. Bring your phone and some headphones! There's free wifi for donors, so you can listen to some music or entertain yourself with your phone while you donate. 5. THIS TAKES TIME. My first appointment ran 3 hours because of all the admin. After that, each appointment took roughly 1.5 hours. 6. Be polite, friendly, and patient while the busy staff works. Donating plasma is not a quick or simple process, so be extra understanding. This is the worst plasma center ever that's why I go to biomat usa down the streets they pay you better they're super nice they let you watch TV and charge your phone and if somebody calls you you can answer your phone. I'm giving 3 stars because the service is sometimes awesome and sometimes terrible. It just depends on the day and especially who's working. Delaney, Deb and Dolores are exceptional employees and really know what they're doing. There are a couple other employees whom also do a great job as well, I just don't know their names. There's a foreign looking guy who's also awesome at his job. Dolores today helped me get my heart rate down that has been to high when I've tried to donate the past 4 times. She talked me through how to focus on not being nervous and relaxing - it was exceptional - which no other employee had done for me yet. On the other hand, Enrique is honestly the WORST phlebotomist I've ever came across. The only 2 times that he's stuck me, I have gotten massive bruises because he botched it. With both I couldn't donate for about 3 whole weeks it was so bad. He also told me that he doesn't like his job a lot of the time, so it shouldn't have been a surprise. Overall, it's a pretty good place to donate. They are nice people (if you don't catch them in the busy hours), they're understanding to accommodate your needs, the facility is clean and it's a super good way to earn extra money. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I suppose it's typical where few people actually review when they have good experiences, and most people just like to review to complain. I had a fantastic experience at this place. I have only dealt with kind staff members here. For my first donation, I was super nervous since I hadn't donated plasma before. I'm not a huge fan of needles. The staff is always reassuring, and they walk you through the whole process as it's happening. Your first donation always takes a while because of registration, screening, etc. but they make it as fast as possible. On my first donation, I had felt a little light-headed and sweaty. The staff encourages you to tell them if there's any discomfort in any way. When I told them I felt light-headed and sweaty, they immediately propped my legs up and put an ice pack on my head. I felt like they actually cared. Since then, I've gone 3 or 4 times now, and it's always been a great experience. read more

If I could I would give them zero stars! Was told to make an appointment amidst all this coronavirus crap, so I did. I made the appointment Monday 3/23 for 7pm Tuesday 3/24. When I arrived at 6:50, I was greeted with a hand written note saying they decided to close early for the day... so why couldn't you look through your appointment book and see all the people that were under the impression that they had appointments and call and let them know you all are cutting out early?! Some times they are really low on staff so even if you have an appointment you may wait about an hour just to sit down and be hooked up. Signing up as a new patient might take awhile and they are terrible with paperwork so they may deny you even if you are done. If you get a false positive for anything you can be banned from here permanently. Even if you ask when you get there how long the wait is, you're guaranteed to wait double whatever time they tell you. Some of the staff are great but they're all hourly employees who get paid whether or not the service is quick. Don't expect your donation to go quickly. Biomat is a very clean well run organization. You are Compensated for your time and your life saving plasma the company uses to make medicine for people in need. The First donation is a long process about 3 hrs so have patience. Not a very good place to donate plasma. Employees are always extremely rude and did not make me want to be there at all. Specifically Shanee who is always yelling at people and has a HUGE attitude. Also Kiara is very rude as well. I was very disappointed, although there were many nice employees it seems as though there are a lot of nasty employees as well that make the experience very unenjoyable. These employees should be fired and the company should work on training employees to be more nice to new donors. read more

I came here a couple of times and at first, everything was fine - the staff was friendly and helpful. However, recently, every staff member I've come in contact with has been bitter and complaining about some part of their job - this had made the donation experience just plain uncomfortable. In addition, every time I call, I have to call 4-5 times to get someone to PICK UP THE PHONE. I've just been trying to schedule an appointment for the past 2 hours now with someone pushing me to a really horribly designed website with NO ASSISTANCE. I work in healthcare so I feel my opinion is valid when I say if I showed the absolute disregard for people and lack of professionalism these people do I would fired. The tech blew my vein and when I told her it was painful she still left it in my arm to find someone who could stick my other arm. If a patient is in pain you fix the problem and apologize, she did neither. I now have a huge bruise due to her incompetence. I am temporarily out of work and using every resource that I can find to help pay rent at the beginning of the month. When my 12yr old daughter and I first went in the gentleman that I spoke with was very helpful and gave me much information as to what this process entailed since I had never taken part in plasma donation before. I made my appointment to come back later in the day and left with a good feeling. When I returned they had me fill out some paperwork and then caledl me into the physical screening room. The assistant manager asked me if my daughter was over the age of 18. I told her no and she said that there was no one under the age of 18 aloud in the facility. What?! That was news to me. The gentleman never said anything to me about that and I didn't see it posted anywhere. Ok,ok... so what do I need to do to make it so that we can make this happen. After I said this the assistant manager, Kim gave me a blank stare and shook her head. Finally she lied and said she would speak with the supervisor and let me know if I am able to come back after I quickly run my daughter home to stay with her sister. Come to find out there was no supervisor to ask. She was the supervisor on staff. Anyway, I ran my daughter home and went back, only to find out that the paperwork I filled out previously to taking my daughter home said that I had a tattoo less than a year ago and that I needed a letter from the tattoo shop stating that the sterility is up to standard. I have no problem with that. I certainly want everything to be safe and secure for all parties involved, but is there some reason that they couldn't tell me all of this information the at the initial visit instead of making me travel back and forth to this place 3 times now. Now, I'm worse off than when I began the process! In my opinion they were dishonest, insensitive and frankly not at all grateful for a donation that could have potentially assisted in saving someones life. We as a community are non the better from housing this type of facility! read more

Rude staff and management. Had incident where the needle leaked and flooded the bed with blood. My kakhi pants were full of blood. The techs did not fo a lost blood report and gave me thinnet to clean my pants. Employees talking badly about co workers and manager. Black lady in front office is the rudest of all. I really like it here. The employees have all been very nice. The facility is well maintained, including the restrooms. Sometimes the wait is long, but at least you have a waiting area with chairs and a television. The machines are very computerized, which makes the actual donation process a tiny bit difficult than another place I have been to. All in all, I really like Grifols/biomat.
