I recently had my very first donation experience at this location. I was nervous since I didn't know what to expect. When you walk in, I checked in and sat for my screening where they checked my weight, took my pic, verified my identity and did a quick prick to test my blood. Afterwards, I did a questionnaire which took about 15 min. You also will meet with a medical specialist to do a quick physical to make sure you're in good healthy to proceed. The staff was very INFORMATIVE and polite. They made me feel at ease and comfortable during the entire process. The donation part itself took me about one hour from start to finish. I personally thought it was an uncomfortable process having the blood drained out of you. I had a few moments where I felt quesy but made it through. The facility itself was very cleans and busy. It was packed. My first appointment took 4 hours! So make sure you set aside time. I'm sure your second one will be better. But expect to wait since many people will be there. Trying to make two appointments in one week as they recommend is nearly impossible. Slots fill up fast so make sure you get on it. read more

This place is a joke. It's SO over scheduled/understaffed that you should figure four hours for a donation (at least). First there's a huge line to check in. Forst three appointments went fine. I will not longer donate here due to a very frustrating experience overall at this location. Poor co[[HIGHLIGHT]]mmunication from the center, and quality management ("QM") regarding addressing issues that are for the non-average person. The ri[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]ght hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing with this business. A nurse[[HIGHLIGHT]] will call and say "you're eligible to donate," and the app and an email will tell you the same, but then you arrive and are told by a different nurse that QM says you're not eligible. Most o[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]f[[HIGHLIGHT]] the staff are professional and courteous. Nurses[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Donna and Jamie genuinely try to help and are friendly. I donated today a 220 pound male in great health and only received $50 for my donation. After being alluded to being compensated $105 for the days donation. $70-$80 per donation is ok.... STAY AWAY!! If you value your sanity and time, then STAY AWAY from this place. I have driven over there FOUR times (90 minutes round trip, plus about another 30 minutes or so of sitting there waiting to talk to someone each time) because the people there can't give consistent, complete information about the ability to donate. Not that their policies changed or anything of that sort... It's just that the staff there is incompetent, with the so-called 'Manager' there not knowing the policies of his own facility. Ditto for the nurses - you'll get conflicting info, depending upon which nurse you're talking to. One of the phlebotomists there was like, "Yeah, come back another time and talk to a different nurse and you'll likely get a different response. They promise all kinds of money and their promos indicate that they 'REALY' need your plasma... but their professionalism and common courtesy to communicate with people who are TRYING to do so is pathetic and NOT WORTH THE EFFORT. If you respect your time, avoid this center. Let's start with their scheduling program. It took a couple months of checking whenever I thought of it to be able to get an appointment. Then, after finally getting scheduled, the morning of the appointment, I received a call from their team explaining that something went wrong on their side so they had to reschedule me and guess what, they had no extra visibility, despite having made the error on their end. On arrival, they had computer issues with having added a letter to my name in their system, which meant multiple tries, while they had to stop to greet every person who came in. But hey, we all know who has the power in this relationship, so we put up with our time being wasted. So, after reading their intentionally convoluted donor questionnaire (per the nurse that I later was disqualified by, they regularly change the questions to make sure people are reading the statements fully, but asking if I have questions (no) about a statement that I should be agreeing to (yes), makes very little sense), which includes questions I have never been asked in a plasma center, I got to move over to the hallway to wait for a nurse. Now let me say I have donated plasma for 23 years at this point and have never had any one defer me. I have discussed my health with my primary care physician, and not only was he ok with me donating plasma, but has encouraged it. But this center, with the excuse that they care more about the donor's health then other centers (and therefor know better then both me and my doctor who knows quite a bit about my health and every test result I have ever had), permanently deferred me. So the plus is that I only wasted an hour or so of my life (other then transit time etc). Management was apathetic that their scheduling app was wasting client's time, that they know better then my doctor, and that much of my day was wasted. So, I guess I am glad that I was deferred and I will actively suggest that people look at other centers (such as OctaPharma who from my experience was a bit quicker and they don't try to know better then my doctor. read more

Initially positive experience, then quality control found 2 questions on a form my medical provider answered that were not acceptable. From there it really got bad..There was all kinds of administration problems in my case. And I think this was unfair to me. Even very unfair. I believe that they do their best to run a professional business . And I would say probably for the most part do a really good job. But in my situation, it just did not go well at all. And, they are not answering their phones at all in this last week or more. Even a nurse admitted that no no one will answer. I called to ask a question and the girl who answered had major attitude towards the end. I was asking since I didn't get to fully donate the other day, if I could come in and she ignored everything and just kept telling me the system wouldn't allow her to schedule me but I asked if I could come and get my hematoma checked... she just kept asking if the hematoma had disappeared and just saying the same thing over and over again... I then mentioned that it's okay and I already had gone and made an appointment for Thursday and she said, "yea, well good luck to you." This may be the worst-ran business that I've ever encountered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Come to find out they canceled my appointment, and didn't even bother to tell me until I got there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They said it was due to a "nurse shortage," which I don't understand. Where'd they go? Did Thanos pull a snap to make all the nurses just disappear? Probably not, I would guess that the horrible way this business is ran probably affects their employees too, and they just quit. Read before you waste your time. I'm a returning donation customer and it's been a few years since I've donated and needed some quick money to support myself until I start a new job. unfortunately, I had to schedule a physical and was a week and a half out until I was able to get in. Upon my appointment, I was asked about medications that I am on and provided everything that they needed to know, at the end of my appointment, I was told that my doctor needs to authorize the donation before I am approved to donate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They said they would fax the information to my doctor, I gave my doctors office a heads up so that we didn't run into further delays on donating and getting the extra money I needed desperately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Two days later, BioLife called to tell me they are having problems with getting a fax to go through, I notified my doctors office and they confirmed that all of their fax machines and numbers are working fine and provided a couple other numbers that I passed along to Biolife to try.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They said they couldn't get though on any of them, I had to drive back down to their location and was notified that they have a technical issues that IT is looking into and will try again after it's fixed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Later that evening, somebody called from Biolife and said they are not able to fax to the several numbers I provided and was not aware of their fax machine being the problem and IT was to fix it, the person I talked to was Not aware and couldn't care less.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a total lack of communication in this office, I once again, on almost an empty tank and needing this to work, went back to BioLife and created PDF files on my IPad and was able to send this over without a hitch, my doctor and I spoke and they faxed everything back, but listed a medication that I am not taking, so I was declined for donation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is by far the biggest waste of time and money I did not have to get nowhere with this group of mishaps, a couple of the ladies were nice that helped my get through, but the initial doctor was a complete quack. beware, there's other places in town that will do a much better job then this circus of clowns and now I'm broke again and living on the streets. I've been coming here twice a week for over a year and mostly positive experiences and I'm also difficult to poke. The phlibotomist that poked me last time was in a hurry and and very unprofessional. I wish I could remember her name because it was just her not the entire staff. Because of her inpatients I can't return for 52 days, I called to speak with manager but no response. O guess I will just blast this place on every review site I can because they just don't care about us in any way.
