I'm an anti-D donor and when you're anti-D you're able to skip the lines and go donate right away, but you're supposed to tell the front desk first. I waited a half hour and nobody even walked by to talk to. Then when I finally got to the bed in the back I waited a 1 1/2 just to leave because I was waiting so fucking long. Normally I would understand , but the workers were just sitting there laughing and doing everything but helping me . I felt completely invisible and so disrespected. They could have at least told me they'll be with me in a few or sorry for the wait but instead they completely ignored me and didn't say anything while I left either. All I want to do is help people and when I found out I could be apart of a program to help even more I was so excited , but they make it so difficult just to donate. Very disappointed in the service and this place needs to get it together. read more

Never had a hematoma before. Ever. Incompetent and dangerous. If it happens again I'm reporting to the company. I've donated before in another state. Never had an issue. I've been stuck by drs , nurses and NEver had an hematoma. Manager had to use the other arm, but not before I saw him roll his eyes at the lead who did this to my arm. After being there for THREE HOURS, and repeatedly being asked to read how HIV would disqualify me, I finally got back to the part where I get my first timer physical. And then I was told I was disqualified for not taking medication for my Bipolar Disorder. If I had money for medication, I wouldn't need to be selling plasma. And they couldn't have asked me if I had any medical conditions before I sat there for THREE HOURS!?!??!?! There's no connection between the usefulness of my blood and my mental illness. It's just another way to stigmatize the mentally ill, who they think will go off the handle at the drop of a hat, and to punish poor people for being poor. Yeah, I'm mentally ill and I'm poor; it doesn't mean I'm not busy. THREE HOURS!!!!! Really!?!?!? How is "What medical conditions do you have and what medications are you taking?" not asked before they make me sit there and watch videos and read packets for THREE hours! So if you have a mental illness and either can't afford your medication or you have chosen the perfectly valid option of bypassing the side effects that comes from dumping large amounts of chemicals into your body, don't let them waste your time. And for the record, most people with Bipolar Disorder are not hostile or violent or, frankly, anything else that anyone would even notice, let alone have reason to fear. We do, however, sometimes write up reviews and let the world know that we are being judged and discriminated against. I know, that's a rational and sane response to being made to wait THREE HOURS to be treated like a crazy person who might freak out at any moment. If I can give this place 0 Stars I would, everybody knows this is the worst plasma center in Aurora you get $20 for your first donation and the staff is very rude and unprofessional some lady told me they were selling drugs in the parking lot and if you go to other plasma centers and ask about CSL plasma they'll tell you how bad they are they used to have TVs at the plasma center they got rid of those you can't charge your phone at the center they pay the worst out of all the plasma centers. I almost got into a fight with one of the managers because my money wasn't on my card went to King Soopers three times still wasn't on my card they said there's nothing we can do for you so I was upset and the manager started talking back to me instead of being professional so I recommend going to biomat plasma or BioLife plasma don't go here don't believe me ask around. read more

My experience at CSL Plasma has been very frustrating. The first time I went in to get singed up, I was there for over 2 hours and they sent me away because they decided last minute to close early due to a snowstorm that wasn't even happening yet. The second time I went in, it took another 3 hours to get everything set up (which I do understand takes a while to do) but, no one was being helpful or giving good direction on where to go, or what to do next. When it was finally time for me to start donating, one of the nurses put the needle in my left arm and it was very very painful. I told her it didn't feel right and she decided to leave it in my arm and just go with it anyways. Finally, another nurse came around, and decided to help and said that there was now fluid building up under my skin because the first nurse didn't stick the needle in correctly. They switched to my right arm and accidentally ended my session. So after all of that, I didn't even get to donate. It's been over a week and I still have a black and blue bruise on my left arm from the first needle. It's very frustrating because I want to go back, and try to donate and they wont let you if you have a bruise. It's again frustrating because it wasn't my fault. This is what my arm looks like 10 days after the first time I donated, and I still have a really bad bruise. I do have to say that Alyssa the second nurse who I dealt with was amazing and really friendly. She made me feel a lot better about the situation. I am not sure if that first nurse was just really inexperienced or if these mistakes just happen often. Definitely wont be going back to this location though. read more

CSL Plasma - Blood & Plasma Donation Centers Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

You're donating plasma and it takes a bit. I've gone four times and had no issues. The first visit takes longer as you have to watch a video, get screened, answer questions, get tattoos documented and take a physical. My first visit took about 3 hours which is what I was told on the phone, so no surprises. Some people can't donate. Don't get angry at the facility if you fall outside of the guidelines, they have obligations they legally have to follow. Once the first visit is under your belt, any future visits will take about two hours. I've had to wait longer, but the center can't control who shows up and when. If there's a crowd, it will take longer. The staff won't win any awards for overt friendliness, but I'd rather have efficiency over conversation. My sticks have been fine. I've had bruising once, but I mowed the grass right after donating, so, having not followed instructions, I cannot say for certain I wasn't the cause for bruising. If you're nice, the staff will be nice. If you're frustrated and take it out on them, they probably won't be your buddy. They are sticking you with needles, I suggest restraint on your part. The compensation is nice and usually there's a monthly bonus for consistent donating. So far, I've had zero problems using the debit card, all donations have been properly credited and all charges have gone through without issue. read more

I went with my best friend to donate after calling the facility 4 times to make sure we were completely prepared and had everything we needed. I work in a Dr's office and am not able to get off of work until 5:30 or later, so their hours were super convenient as they see patients until 7. However, each call was someone different who gave me completely different information. One of the call operators told me "make sure you get here early as some of our nurses like to leave early and it's a waiting game". I didn't think much of it until I experienced it. I understand working long days and wanting to get home, but as a NURSE you have a duty to take care of your patients. My best friend and I got off of work a little late and didn't arrive until about 6:15, but the office closes at 7 so we had plenty of time. When we walked in there, there was a security guard and someone in a white coat at the front desk who made eye contact, but neglected to greet us as we walked in as first-timers for about 5 minutes. Once one of them finally said something to us, the guy in the white coat said "do you need something?" with a horrible attitude. None the less, my friend and I walked over and told him we were here for the first time to donate but I called ahead to make sure we had enough time for the screening. The "nurse" (no one this rude could possibly be a nurse, right?) proceeded to tell us at 6:22 that we could not donate as they stop seeing new donors at 6:30. I proceeded to get upset and I said "but there's about 8 minutes until then, can't you get us in for the screening? I work in a doctor's office in GOLDEN and was unable to make it here before now. I was told we could be seen on the phone!". This "nurse" then said "well it's like 5-til so no sorry" as he rolled his eyes. The security guard then proceeded to laugh and this "nurse" told us that even if we got there at 5 we wouldn't have been able to as we did not have proof of our SS numbers, which surprise surprise, no one told us about that either. "Those phone operator's are brand new", he also told us. So far, I was loving this customer service. After being completely annoyed by this nurse dude with black hair and black earrings who already looked unprofessional, I did the basic angry white mom thing and called the location while sitting in my car so I could speak to a manager. This manager actually had AWESOME customer service, and when I told her what I was told by the dude in the white coat (aka mean nurse), she put on her angry boss voice and said "I am so sorry to hear that, could you please tell me who told you this? We see new donors until 7PM. Please come back inside, we'd be happy to see you." This woman, Theresa is her name, is the reason I am giving it one more try this evening with my boyfriend. She came in and gave me a card for an extra $10 for my first donation as I was not told by staff that I needed proof of my SS number, so I will give it one more go tonight to redeem that extra $10 and donate some plasma. I'm just curious how they will treat me tonight when I come in with my scrubs on, maybe that's the key to good customer service off the bat. read more

If you decide to donate here before you go in eat something, drink lots of water and bring a book or tablet because no matter what you will have to wait for a minimum of 2 1/2 hours so just accept that to be part of the experience and you'll be less frustrated when you do finally get seen. Despite other reviews I read I thought the facility was clean and for the most part professional you will need your ID your social security card and a recent piece of mail with your name and address. If you have gotten any ink or piercings in the last year they will not let you donate. It's very obvious that they are short staffed and some of them are just learning how to draw blood so it's important to be as patient as possible throughout your visit. I have not had a staff member be rude to me although the security guard wasn't able to answer a very simple question and seemed irritated that I even asked . read more

This place is now CSL plasma. I went in to donate and while the process is quick, the employees are really unprofessional and sometimes rude. This last donation went bad and I had a reaction. If you've ever had one, you know it can be scary with a fast drop on blood pressure leaving you on fire hot and losing conciousness. One employee was amazing and held my arm straight so the needle didn't destroy my arm, but the other one was so rude and impatient. I'M INVOLUNTARILY LOSING CONCIOUSNESS! I can't keep my eyes open. I've never had a good experience at the Peoria location. The staff is incredibly disrespectful, unfriendly and inexperienced it seems. They hooked up the needle in my arm wrong so the machine had me pump my hand for forty minutes when the needle wasn't in properly and destroyed my arm doing so. The staff members knew something was wrong and dogs nothing for those forty minutes except talk to each other. Their "security guard" us the worst of them all. I brought in a friend to sign up and he immediately kicked him out, didn't give him a chance to sign up and then argued with me how irresponsible I am because "he's older". Very unprofessional, he got my friend, me and an unrelated third party to leave because how much an asshole he was being. Don't come here if you want respect and a professional blood draw. read more

My first ever time donating plasma today, and It was a wonderful experience. My fiancé and I went to CLS plasma and were guided through the process by friendly faces and knowledgeable information. I had never donated before, and felt very nervous from the start, but the staff answered all of my questions. I forget his name, but there's a younger man with dreadlocks, who was very friendly and funny. After registering, and watching the videos, we finally made it to the donation chairs, where a very kind man, Anthony, proceeded to stick me with a needle. He was very calm, and made me feel at ease, making the process very easy in my opinion. About twenty minutes into donating, I started to feel really dizzy, and started to black out. Within seconds, several employees were around me trying to wake me up. They offered me a power aid, and put ice packs on my chest. They removed the needle from my arm, and let me relax until I was feeling better. I was about half way done with my donation, and they let me keep the full compensation. I'm so impressed with the way they handled this situation, and so thankful they were there to help me through it. read more

I donate plasma because I know it does good for those in need, also the little extra cash makes easier to use then rack up my credit cards or dig into my accounts. I have noticed a few rude people there which makes it unprofessional. There is a woman by the name of Latoya, unknown last name, that is the most rudest and unprofessional woman, more so then all others. I saw her humiliate two employees in front of donors. I'm sorry but this woman needs rep-remanded or fired. I will go back but will always request someone else for the needle stick. Nobody including employees should have to deal with this. So extremely disappointed and furious with this facility. Every time I have been here it has a horrible experience. I'm either waiting 1 1/2 hours or longer, constantly being given inaccurate blood results, dealing with employees that are unsympathetic, not very knowledgeable or just straight rude. It's been a year since being here to donate. Knowing that I probably needed to update information, that was actually all the same, I came in 2 weeks prior to find out that I was improperly marked as not being able to donate. After waiting an hour to see the doctor, then sitting for 30 minutes to see how they coould fix the issue, oh it's just an IT issue they'll have to fix it tomorrow, call in a few days to make sure its clear. Called two days ago to make sure and was given the ok to come in and donate. Now tonight after waiting 2 1/2 hours for a doctor, to see if I was clear to donate, which I was previously told was taken care of, I was not only NOT added to the cue but was not checked on until the end of that 2 1/2 hours and 30 minutes after they closed. This is the kicker though...I'm asked by one of the employees, are you still waiting to see a Medic? I reply yes. She says, what for? My response, I'm not sure I was just told to sit down here and wait. The security guard confirms by saying, yes she's been waiting at least 2 hours. So I've BEEN acknowledged sitting here that long and yet no one has said anything to me. Finally get to the room to take vitals and I'm asked if there are any new tattoos or piercings. I honestly answer and say yes 6 months prior. Then receive the answer, "Oh, it has to be at least 12 months so we'll see you next January!" Now it's been a year since I've donated, so of course I didn't remember all of the restrictions and guidelines and by the way they are NO where posted at the front desk because I checked on my way out. NEVER WILL I GO TO CSL PLASMA AGAIN. And I definitely do not recommend them because each time I've been in there, there has been at least 3 people to leave infuriated... EACH TIME! I politely handed back the VISA card and say thank you, have a good night. read more

I was hard up for cash and a co-worker suggested donating plasma so I looked this place up and I was frankly terrified because of the reviews I had read, besides I hate needles. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the the incredibility personable and knowledgeable staff. I was greeted by Aron L. He was friendly and explained the process, he was happy to answer any questions I had. I went thru several steps being that it was my first time, I can truly say that every single employee I encountered wanted to make me feel comfortable. From the staff allowing me to sit in an examination room to make sure my blood pressure wasn't too high to donate, to the simple hand clasp I received from an employee when I expressed a medical concern (I had a common side effect) while actually donating. I will be donating again as this is a rare situation where both parties benefit. I received a substantial amount of money ($60) and I know the donation I made will help make Important medicine that could possibly save someone's life.
