Sitting here after FINALLY getting someone to come to the front desk that says "first time donors" waited about 20mins and decided to call (yes I had to call the same place I was at) which made someone come to the desk, I hung up once they came over which they then helped all in line. After I got checked in and while watching the 20 min video they have you watch before going to the next step, the desk went back to not being staffed and was only staffed it seemed like when people call. Also, If you have the app theirs an option for appointment but it's not necessary. It's pretty much walk in. They don't need an appointment. I Figured I'd give a timeline for new donors on what to expect time wise that way you can see how to plan out your time. Timeline Check in just after 2pm and filled out questionnaire Finished consent video at 2:35- told to wait until my name is called for next step of creating a profile Welp just waisted over 1 hour 11imins for nothing. I'm wearing a wig and a Headband and when I got to I believe it was step 3 or step 4 of the process where you get called back to a room to crate a profile, only to find out that you have a take a picture but you can't have anything on your head. I mean my DL photo has me in a headgear and it's not even for religious reasons but apparently to donate plasma they are anal about not having anything on your head. I will be honest...its a plasma center. It's hard for people to give it a good review because it's in a different neighborhood. I feel that is why many people give it a bad rating to start. As for any plasma place, Mondays, Fridays and the weekends may be a longer wait. I was lucky today, and was seen quickly. The staff was nice and lively, and made sure I was comfy. i went today for my first time ever donating plasma... and it was a great experience! after reading the review, i honestly was nervous and didnt have high hopes for my visit. To my surprise, every single employee I spoke to was friendly, and they all were extremely helpful. everyone said i should be prepared for the process to take anywhere from 4-5 hour, since it was my first time donating. thankfully, i was at the plasma center for a TOTAL of 2 hours and 15 min...and it went by super fast. She really seems like she doesn't like her job and she shouldn't be working at a place like that where donors are supposed to feel safe. Do not recommend coming here at all! read more

Just some observations that I've noticed: 1. The first-time donor processed needs to be overhauled. I understand that it's long and lengthy, but new donors need to be tracked better from beginning to end. You can start the process at one station, then told to have a seat and wait for 45 mins before you moved to another station. 2. The staff need to do less talking and more working. This may be speed up the process of moving people from the chair to the exit. 3. If employees have conflict with each other, I would prefer to not hear about it when they are in the floor. This could affect their performance when it comes to serving me. I shouldn't have to suffer for internal conflicts among the staff. Be professional and handle it behind closed doors before you start your shifts. read more

2 stars only because the compensation is better than the other 2 nearby options (BioLife & Octapharma) But other than that, not great. The wait times are long but what's more bothersome than the time it takes to do everything is that the staff does not communicate. Everyone takes forever to do ANYTHING. Once I finally got to a chair to donate, I waited 27 minutes to be poked because they did not even have supplies on the floor. Of the maybe 10-12 employees I have interacted with, TWO were friendly. Not worth $50 unless you absolutely have no job or money. I tried to sign up. As a fist time donor I was told on the phone the initial visit would be 2-3 hours (@$50/hr =$16.60 hr), okay not bad to get the process going. Arrived to no one at front desk, had to look around and a lady allowed me to ask for help from the woman helping her. They took my info and then I sat for 2 hours in a hallway without sufficient room for social distancing. I finally asked when I would be seen, and was told I was now third on the list and she stated, "I said it could be 3-3 1/2 hours when you arrived (@$50= $14.28 hr). 3 people ahead of me another 6 hours wait time (3 people x 2hrs)and knowing the screening could take an hour and the actual draw a minimum of 45 minutes is 10 hours (@$50= $5 hr). BTW, you won't be making $800 a month as their website indicates. Per their chart 1st =$50, 2nd =$50, 3rd=$50, 4th=$50, 5th=$60, 6th=$60, 7th=$60, 8th=$60 for a total of $440 maximum per month (donating at the max allowed), unless you count the $200 refer a friend (who you secretly hate to go waste a day of their life). read more

Very very rude staff and it may be due to lack of workers. I had already signed in on my phone and thought I had to put my finger print on the kiosk. Then an employee repeatedly said "you don't log into the kiosk when you're logged into your phone" I replied, "okay, sorry". Then she repeats exactly what she said, so I answered it the same way...then she repeats herself a third...and then a 4th time almost if she was scolding me. Place is full of loitering questionable characters to start. Came in Saturday, had my blood drawn and tech right out asks me if I've been smoking weed?? I replied "No. I work for the city. There's no way I could even attempt such a thing." We get surprised tested all the time." She wouldn't drop the matter even after the nurse said Ibwas good to go. I became flustered. Then she did something even worse. She lied to me and said my iron count was too high to donate at a 57. I decided I was done with this place and started walking out. As I neared the exit lobby, I smelled what she was smelling. It was a strong pungent odor of weed and it was getting stronger. I opened the door to the exit lobby. It was even stronger now. This is where the odor was coming from.The whole problem with that location is they allow loitering. All sorts of questionable characters hang outside and inside the exit lobby. If she had gotten off her fat ass and did some investigating I wouldn't have been wrongly accused. This location seems to be the Burger King of Plasma Techs because it looks like they take anyone off the street to compensate for their high turnover rate. Off I went to a competitor plasma center and told them of my ordeal. They asked if I donated that day yet. I replied no. Within an hour and a half I had my iron count tested and guess what? I tested at a 46 within limits! How could an iron count go from a supposed 57 to a 46 within an hour and a half? It doesn't! When I called over there and confronted her about her lie she hung up on me. What else is this tech capable of if she's lying to donors? Where does it end? What else has she lied about to donors and to co workers? Their blood pressure? Testing positive for gonorrhea or even HIV? Beware the CSL Nacogdoches location. read more

I usually come here to make a quick buck and it usually goes smoothly the people are usually nice but ESTHER was one of the rudest! i wasn't sure how I felt but I wasn't very happy about it. I told the supervisor but he told me he assures me she's sweet and that couldn't have been her... that if I want him to talk to her he'd do it... of course I wanted him talk with her!! Which I'm sure he didn't care about what I had to say because it seemed like he thought I was making this up and didn't want to believe me. I went to this center on a unexpectedly busy Saturday but was determined to donate. I waited back and forth from the vitals to nurse station for over two hours. On the third hour, the nurse approaches me and two other donors who were patiently waiting for the physical. The nurse told us to leave, that someone didn't do their job and forgot about us. My husband comes in to see where I'm at in the process when the nurse is explaining someone didn't do their job. He says to me "how can they kick us out and tell us "bye Felicia" after we've been here three hours". As we plead with the nurse to do a quick physical so maybe I could still donate, a staff member angrily said to us that saying "bye Felicia" was racist. This is a famous movie quote from Friday that became very popular. They have since deferred my husband forever for saying that. Called corporate and they seemed very upset by what happened to us. Used to donate elsewhere, and this is a fantastic place! I like donating more frequently than with whole blood, because I can help more people. I don't usually watch whatever they choose to be on TV, but its a nice option. I normally bring a textbook for my college classes, so I am still productive while laying there. Reading through the reviews and some have not had a pleasant time here. However, I have gone here for quite a while and I really enjoy it. Essentially, I'm getting paid to study, read, or just relax and watch TV. I advise everyone to go in and see if you qualify to donate. Only about 30% of the population is even eligible to donate and it goes to a great cause. Awful! Don't ever go there! First of all, I used to be a phlebotomist (the person who puts the needle in your arm) at another plasma center, so I could see how awful this place is. Everyone here is SO rude, and they're always understaffed. Even though there are 8 screening booths, there's only ever like 2 or 3 booths open with screeners. They also let just anyone stick new donors, and at the center I used to work at only Supervisors were allowed to stick donors their first 4 donations. The girl that stuck me in my left arm messed it up, so they had to go to my other arm. But she did the re stick, which is another thing only supervisors were allowed to do at the center I used to work at. It makes sense; if you messed up on one arm, what makes you think you can get the other one? So anyways, she messes up on that arm as well and they end up not being able to return my blood to me, so I'm put on a 2 month wait before I can come back(since I lost a lot of blood). Don't bother coming here, they don't take their jobs seriously and don't treat the donors with the care and importance they deserve. read more
