However, I was a little confused when I saw there was a promotion to give customers 1,000 points. However, I was surprised when I checked my account and saw about 300 points. I also received a $10 dollar giftcard. However, an HEB gift card is worth 120 points. I did email them to ask about this and was told that both equaled to that promotion. I responded by explaining how the amount of points didn't equal and never heard back. Please don't post promotions that you actually aren't going to stick to.

Biotest eventually moved away from downtown to get to a better location. I was currently going to CSL plasma for about 11 years, I was deferred before for having high blood pressure, which the MA's gave me a form to take to my doctor in jan-2014. I have been taking blood pressure medication for a while now, thats not a big deal. I went to another place located near bandera, loop 410, every place requires some proof of residence, and a SS card. I didn't have my card at the time, so I left. It was only when I went to make a cable payment at spectrum, I decided to go to Biotest, see if I can donate plasma there, i did have some proof of residence, and ss card. I was fortunate that I could donate there. I've only been there now for 3 months, but the donor center doesn't pay as much as some other donor centers. Though I started donating back in Oct-1981, off/on, its ok to donate plasma, with a lot of positive testimonials online, and thanks to Youtube, people can see what goes on in some donor centers across the nation. I say check around before donating blood, or plasma. the donor centers do have some basic guidelines/protocol to follow, also would take a look inside to see how sanitary the places are, back of the donor floor, and overall the lobby, and restrooms. not everywhere you choose to go will be at 100% cleanliness. if it isn't that clean, I suggest someone tells management about what needs to be corrected, and as soon as possible. It helps to be open-minded about donating, because not everybody is donating for the same reasons. Some places have a security guard, most places don't have anyone there, I suppose it depends on what company it is, and where they're located at. Before they had ATM cards, the donor centers were paying out in cash, but now they pay with the Debit/ATM cards, much safer, efficiently also.

My lease wasn't valid enough in formation and the desk manager refused to call. My lease agreement had my name and the apartment name just not a street adress. My aparmtnet is all utilities paid so no CPS on record. I offered to give my check stubs but that wasn't good enough. I sat down to look for something that can be verified. Until I was told non donors can't loiter in the waiting room. This place isn't helpful, they don't care. I can just commute back to the place I was donating before. It's worth the commute for better customer service. Don't come here. Obligatory one star to submit the review.

She said "Im just being stern with you." I was chuckling over the whole experience and said "I've been donating for decades and never has anyone been stern with me. They're usually happy you're here donating." Then in the end, they took whole blood when they were supposed to be doing a double red donation on me. I'm O neg and have been giving blood for decades but have never experienced anything quite like that. I feel bad for the employees, as they all likely have mold poisoning and it's effecting their mood and cognitive abilities.
