They sold me a truck knowing that it had head gasket issues, which is obviously a major problem for any vehicle. They know enough about automotive to absolutely knew that the vehicle had a bad head gasket(s) BEFORE they sold it to me, but never disclosed this to me. Once I had driven the vehicle a bit it would leak coolant periodically, I brought it back to be checked as to why, all they did was to say they were not sure where the coolant was coming from or why, when they knew that before they sold it to me, it was the head gaskets, yet they sold it to me anyway, knowing that to replace the head gaslets is a massive job - no integrity. So essentially they knowingly sold me a vehicle that has major issues of which the cost to fix, would be massive and render the vehicle to be worthless other than for parts. I also had a repetitive problem of the vehicle not starting, not too long after the purchase. This happened several times. Brought it to them to diagnose and fix. They did neither, yet they charged me for labor 2 times. THey did the exact same thing with another vehicle, will tell you we are not sure what it is, because they dimply do no diagnosis, yet they charge for time. I then brought it to another shop, they diagnosed and fixed the problem which had to do with oil pressure. My feeling is that they completely ripped me off and did so knowingly. They never disclosed that the truck needed head gaskets, and never even tried to truly diagnose the oil pump issues that was causing the ongoing no start problems. They should never have sold me thr truck. They are supposed to be the experts and a customer relies on their integrity. But they ripped me off in more ways than one. I would not advise anyone to purchase a vehicle from them - they are not honest, and do not rely on them for repairs. They will pretend that they did some sort of diagnosis, but actually they did none, but will still charge for time when nothing was accomplished and then give you vehicle back, when no actual and real diagnosis was done at all. That is why I had to take the truck to another shop who diagnosed and fixed the starting problem and at least that problem is now ok. But I still have a truck that they sold me that needs head gaskets to be replaced. If they respond to this, they will say that they did not know about the head gaskets, and that will be a LIE. Any experienced shop knows all about head gaskets. Therefore - they should have done one of 2 things - not sold this vehicle at all except for parts OR 2 - replaced the head gaskets properly and ONLY THEN offered the vehicle for sale. They knowingly sold a bad vehicle and that is pure deception and theft. I am now stuck with a vehicle with bad head gaskets because they wanted to pawn off this LEMON and simply pretend they did not know - OF COURSE they knew. If I have any recourse I will now go to the CT State Attorney General and the DMV and have the matter investigated. A laswuit may follow. DO NOT do business with this company or buy a vehicle from them, they have no integrity. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Towed my car within a half hour of me parking in the lot. No one in the booth to pay for parking, no way of knowing I'd be towed because the signage is in the lot not facing the street. Looked all over and called the number to find out where my car had been taken to. I was told it was cash only, so i was forced to walk around downtown Hartford with my friend to try and find an ATM. I consider this a pretty dangerous and unnecessary predicament to be in for 2 single females at 1030pm on a Saturday night. Finally got a ride to the tow spot around midnight and the person that gave my car back was quite smug. I heard they towed 3 other cars within the same hour!! I reached out to try and get some sort of compensation or explanation and never heard back. This business is disgusting and predatory. SHAME ON YOU read more

Steer clear of this towing service as the staff are the rudest people on the planet and management should take action to remove them. When we called the towing company after our car was towed there the man was mean, rude and bullying. He threatened that he'd keep our car for days and jack up the fee. He told us when we got there that he "owned our car" and it was his property now until he let us finally pay the cash he demands to release the car. He was bullying and his staff did nothing to rein him in. If you have to go pick up your car you should ask police to accompany you for your safety. read more

My vehicle was towed and damaged while being transported only 5 miles. When I asked about the damages, the employee (who refused to give me his name) began yelling and became very aggressive with me. He threatened to refuse to give me my vehicle back. He also has his girlfriend along with him while working and clearly had no care for any customers or their vehicles he was handling. I now am filing a police report and pursuing reimbursement for the damage caused to my vehicle. No employee like this should ever have a job where they are handling other peoples' property and couldn't care less about it. They told me it would be one price when we go to the yard to get the car and when we arrived they tacked on more money. *PREDATORY TOWING* My car was towed from the LAZ Parking Capital Lot (10 Ford St., downtown Hartford) fewer than ten minutes after I parked to drop something off for a photo shoot in Bushnell Park. (I tripped coming off the curb and broke my ankle about ten paces from the parking space-- as far as I can tell, the tow truck driver *had to have seen this happen.*) I limped into the park, made the handoff, came back, and the car was gone. Called LAZ to confirm whether it had been towed or stolen; they confirmed that my payment hadn't gone through, but the CS rep called CT Auto & Towing for me, initially, to confirm whether they had my car. They did & confirmed CT's phone number. I phoned, was told it would be $180, cash only (this business DOES NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS as per the above "Amenities" information). No Paypal, no Venmo, no other cash apps, no credit cards, physical cash only. Driver was rude, and started adding additional "conditions" to my being able to retrieve the car-- $25 per 15 minutes he waited for my friend to arrive with cash, $26+ if the car was on their lot longer than 8 hours. Expected me to walk back and forth down the length of the entire business building to get my registration from my car, then to "watch him do paperwork" then back again-- on a broken ankle-- that he *likely saw happen.* When I declined to follow him all the way to the office and back, he told me to "get off his lot" or he would "call the cops" and that they'd "escort me off." The driver's girlfriend (?) and her dog were with him in the truck, and she was the one to open/close the locked gate-- and to bring me the receipt and take payment for the vehicle; the driver refused to respond. My car was towed from a night club in hartford. Two guys were working. On my way to go pick up the car I received a phone call from one of the guys telling me that Hartford Police told them that my plates had been canceled. I told him that I was on my way and that my registration and insurance were fully intact. My friend called Hartford Police and they said no such thing was placed. When I was there I was in tears. He was completely rude and very inappropriate. The other guy told me I should report him for the way he acted. I will be placing a formal complaint with a supervisor on Monday. That guy should not have a job and all of the details will be told to his supervisor that are not placed on here. He should not have a job who deals with any customers especially when they are a decent customer and not some gutter rat from Hartford. Even his friend that was working said that he was not appropriate and told me how to report him. I would not suggest this place to anyone. read more
