I've had so many bad/weird/uncomfortable experiences at dozens of nail salons around LA. This place GETS me. They know that I'm always in a hurry... they know I always bring my own color. They know I don't like massages and that I just want basic/fast/pretty nails. You don't need an appointment but because I'm always in a hurry, I make one anyway. Their prices are amazing. The service is always fantastic. And they are just nice. I've tried to be all fancy and go to other places but this one is the winner for me. I've never left unhappy. It was my first time here. I had 2 hours to spare in the area and drove by here. I was a walk in. No wait. The place is small but clean and my Nail Tech was really sweet, attentive, warm and gave a great pedicure. She tested a few colors for me and was very understanding. She gave probably one of the best pedi's I've ever had and the price was $28 (plus tip). The chairs have back massagers and she gave a nice foot and leg massage too. This is a great salon they like to up sell you but it's worth it , I did the seal salt on my hands and feet and they looked great when I left. I did a mani and a pedi for men it was $55 the sea salt was another 7 for hands & feet or 14 can't remember I do have the sense you can negotiate on pricing if you think they are to high. They were the same price as every one else no more no less I would go back again no problem they were very nice and did not makes me feel weird going in by myself as a guy sometimes nail salons look at you like you weird for wanting nice looking feet I have no idea why more guys don't get them. I walked in for a manicure today and the lady cut my hangnail and I started to bleed. Except the cut wouldn't stop bleeding--it's 4 hours since my manicure and it still won't stop bleeding. And because the blood won't stop, my thumb nail's polish is smudged and wrinkled. This has never happened to me before during a manicure. Also, I don't live close so I can't go back to get it fixed right away and even if I did go back, the bleeding hasn't stopped so they can't even fix the polish. I actually really enjoy this place for a great manicure and simple gel nail polish. This is a no fuss place, so don't expect to sit in a plush seat, served champagne, and state of the art equipment. If you're okay with turning away here n there and just want a good manicure (no crazy designs or instagramable 'nail art') then COME HERE. $28 for gel nail manicure and in my opinion it looks great and lasts as long as my nails grow out (ie. I've never had a problem with chipping or anything like that). Yes, the people running this place don't speak fluent English but just guiding them here and there makes it work. I really like how they do a really thorough job in cutting off all the old dead skin so my nails just look really good. Not that anyone will notice BUT HEY TO ME IT MATTERS :) I recommend for those who are low maintenance and okay with the fact that their methods of sterilization is basically hosing everyone off with acetone. Haha...okay I know that doesnt sound great (probably scared a ton of people off just now) but hey I'm okay with that. Acetone is friggin strong stuff. And, my manicures gotta last 3 weeks, cause I can't get done more often. When I get my nails done here, they don't break and look good from one visit to another. I've been to this CT Nails location a couple of times now, primarily out of convenience as it's located in the same strip mall as my dry cleaner. Overall, they do a decent job and the price is good. It's not my favorite nail place in the area, but it does the trick when in a pinch. Last time I was there, I had to request an extra coat of color, which was a bit disappointing because I would have hoped that the nail tech would have noticed the streaks herself. She was more than happy to accommodate once I pointed it out, though. Contrary to this listing's details, you CAN use credit card for $1 extra. She didn't do properly the shape, got nail polish everywhere and left me bleeding. Now have to redo my pedicure. I am very upset. Manicure was not good too. The guy who did my nails put polish on cuticles and my fingertips. My nails were painted uneven and a gap between nail polish and cuticle is too big. Looks like 1 week manicure. I dont come here as much anymore. I used to do my mani, pedi, and eyebrows. They don't do any kind of 3D nail art so I only come here when I'm too lazy to go to the nail shop down on Normandie. CT Nails is extremely close to where I live. I used to get my eyebrows done here; however they don't leave them as I want them to look. Therefore I'd rather make the trip to my eyebrow lady on Sunset. She always makes me happy with the way my eyebrows look. CT Nails is just ok. It is nothing special but they still do a good job when it comes to regular manis and pedis. They also don't have a lot of polishes to choose from so bring your own. read more

So, I've been coming to this nail salon for many years, for several different services. Things were, for the most part, fine. Over the last half year, things have gotten miserably bad. Susan, the owner of this location (all the C.T. Nails in West Hollywood are owned by the same family; talk about some mafiosa nonsense, huh?) has taken into practice of double and triple booking her appointments, working on multiple people at the same time, and setting up a standby queue that's almost always an hour deep. Making an appointment doesn't mean anything anymore. The last few times I showed up for my appointments, the service was abysmal. One of the employees working on my pedicure left HALF OF THE NAIL UNPAINTED. A time before that, the lengths of my two thumbnails were RADICALLY DIFFERENT. When I decided to try out the metallic powder gel manicure (which was a good $15 more expensive), and I pointed out to the exact design I wanted on the sample, Susan used a black base instead of a white one (the LITERAL OPPOSITE), and couldn't take them off to redo them because it'd take another 45 minutes and my nail beds were RAW. I felt like a complete ghoul at work for at least two weeks. The worst part about my experiences as of late has been the reception to criticism. I spent anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours there with every appointment, so I obviously wanted to get my time and money's worth. I stopped being patient and understanding after a third appointment in a row made me miserable leaving the salon, and I started getting openly upset. However, SOMEHOW, that seemed to be unacceptable to the staff and management. Susan openly berated me over the phone without accepting any responsibility for any of the past mistakes, and then hung up on me. She not only lost one client today, she lost many. I had sent referral after referral her way. This nail salon is not the Ritz, so her condescending attitude toward her clients needs to be checked in the back room. You can remodel your salon, Susan, but what you need to do is remodel your attitude. You don't get to raise your prices without improving your services. And you might want to consider your sanitation practices too, in case an inspector might decide to make a random visit in the near future. Just saying. read more

If you're looking for a quick mani / pedi for a cheap price, this is your place. They are very basic. I've only gone on the weekends and they can get busy so I opt to go in the mornings. They only accept cash but there is an ATM at the 7-Eleven next door. A mani and pedi is $25. If you opt to do "spa", it basically consists of sitting in a nice massage chair for your pedi. This place cleans my cuticles about 3-4 times!!! That makes for a really clean and pretty LONG LASTING MANICURE!!! WILL NEVER RETURN. I came to get a fill 5 days ago and almost all of my acrylics have lifted. So, I returned to get them fixed expecting a sincere apology and a quick fix. The exact opposite was what happened. I came in and explained the problem and the lady in charge said that it was because I was my hands too often. I've been getting acrylics for 15 years and this has never happened before (and I've washed my hands just as much). She quickly super glued the lifted nails and said nothing. In my hunt for a new nail place I returned here after being away for years. They do a great pedicure but I had stopped getting my nails done here because my gels never last more than 7 days. I figured I would give it another try. Bad choice. On the 7th day the polish started to peel. I returned and was told it was $20 to get it fixed. I would have had no problem paying if it was my fault....but this is the only place I have visited where gels don't last 2 weeks or more. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this place deserves one. My nails looked better before the manicure! I've never had such a bad manicure that I needed a new manicure afterwards. The lady that did my manicure did a horrible job at cutting the skin on the side of my nails and applying the nail polish. Also, the color that I chose was lavender and after two days, all my nails became grey-ish. This place should use better nail polish for gel and make sure their staff is more caring about how a client's nails turn out since we are paying for this service. My pedicure was a lot better (different woman), but I still had a nail that broke in a few days... Lastly, I usually get charged $41-42 for a gel manicure and pedicure, but this place charged me slightly more at $45. Even though I paid more ($45, plus tip $5) I didn't get to sit in the spa-massage chair... I don't get it. The staff is VERY NICE here, no complaints about that, they were helpful and kind. The main reason why I am giving the salon 2 stars is because of my terrible manicure. My nails completely chipped the same day after not doing anything out of the normal routine. I have never had this happen before. I paid $15 for my manicure ($3 tip). I could have gone to a much nicer and cleaner salon for the same price. I personally think they should be charging a couple dollars less for their services than charging the same as other high end modern salons. The cleanliness concern comes from me spotting toenail clippings in the carpet. A carpet in a nail salon seems very unsanitary. Second, the lotion they used on me was the typical nail salon pink stuff but it smelled rotten. I scrubbed it off not wanting the terrible smell in my skin. My nail polish was applied in sort of a sloppy manner, the woman who did my nails cleaned around the sides and under my nail with her own fingernail which I found extremely gross. In conclusion, I could have gone to my trusted usual place for the same price with better topcoats that won't cause my nail polish to chip and a much cleaner and less stuffy environment. read more
