AVOID THIS PLACE! Everything was terrible, from check in all the way til check out. First, the front desk girl seemed a bit disorganized and overwhelmed...mind you, the salon was so calm and quiet so I don't know what could've had her so anxious. While I'm waiting to get called, she realizes she messed up someone else's appointment who already got sat, they got her water running and everything, and they tell her she has to get up. A whole mess. This one obviously didn't affect me directly but it affected the overall experience. Then, I finally get called (I was waiting ~10 mins over my appointment time). The technician starts my nails when she gets the first phone call. I could see she's struggling balancing the nails and what seemed to be an important call cause she was also overwhelmed (idk what it is about this place but everyone is clearly overwhelmed). She hangs up, continues my nails and then she gets ANOTHER call. This time she just randomly stands up and runs to take it in the back room. Listen, things happen, but I knew this wasn't an emergency...she had just told me it's a package delivery. She left me waiting for, I kid you not, ~5 minutes (probably longer but let's just say 5), no explanation, no nothing. When she comes back, I say that if it's an emergency then I can wait for another technician so she can handle whatever she needs. She apologies and goes back to my nails, thankfully she didn't get up again but the finished product was HORRENDOUS on top of everything! My nails are so scratched and dry! I was going to this salon for a couple months. The salon is always clean, they always offer drinks, and the vibe is chill. However, I consistently had issues during my appointments. Almost every visit, I would leave with cuts on my skin from filing too aggressively or from my cuticles being cut too much. Sometimes they wouldn't even apply anything to stop the bleeding and they would see the blood coming out and would just continue working on my nails which was concerning. At first, I didn't think much of it since they were just tiny cuts that would happen by accident but it kept happening every single time I went. Very disappointed with my experience here. I got an almond-shaped set done on Friday, and by Monday night one of my nails had snapped right where the nail was shaped too uneven on the side. I called the next day to get it fixed and no one picked up. I went in person on Wednesday, and they told me they had no appointment availability and to comeback the next day, as well as no mention of a repair charge. I also found out they'd apparently sent a message about a repair fee but not to the phone number I have left them. After I finally got it fixed they said it would be $10, I showed the front desk the photo showing the uneven shape, and she told me it was my fault and I was the one who put the pressure on the nail. As well as on their end they didn't even receive my phone call, so she dismissed that as I haven't called them when I showed her on my end she had no response. Unfortunately, our experience here was deeply disappointing. We booked our appointments two weeks in advance, only to have one of the slots canceled the night before. When we called the next morning, we were told all of our original appointments would be honored. However, when we arrived, one of the bookings was still incorrect. Two of us received gel manicures and two got gel x sets with designs. The service seemed fine while we were there, and we left thinking everything had been resolved. But within just two days, both gel x sets began lifting and falling off. For a visit that totaled $600 with tip, the quality should last far longer than a couple of days. It's unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly unethical to deliver work that deteriorates this quickly. We will not be returning. read more

A cute place for a luxury relaxing feel to pamper yourself or come with a friend. They have a great online booking system and the prices are average or great for the luxury feel that comes with being here. I had the pleasure of having my pedicure done by Ziza. She was very gentle and very detailed in the work she did. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try their Russian pedicure but will absolutely be back! They do a great job with nail shape and maintaining long-term nail health. I get complimented about them all the time and people always assume they're gel x! Biggest complaint is that some technicians are rougher than others, it's not uncommon for me to leave with a bleeding cuticle. I should have listened to the recent complaints here. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst nail experiences I've had. The nail tech, Emma, cut my cuticles excessively to the point that they were red, swollen, extremely painful, and scabbed for the next four days. During the service, I told her that I hadn't had my nails done in about a year and that it was very painful while she was cutting them, and I asked her to be careful. She continued anyway. I should have trusted my gut and stopped the service at that point. The shaping was uneven and poorly done. When applying the gel, there was nail dust and lint left on my nails multiple times. I asked her several times to clean it off, but each layer still had debris sealed under the gel. When she asked if I liked the color, I said no and mentioned that it looked dull on my hands, but that it was okay. She offered to change it, which I initially appreciated, and I chose a very similar shade that was just slightly warmer. After that, the situation felt uncomfortable. She appeared to be speaking negatively to a coworker about the color change, which felt unprofessional and rubbed me the wrong way. After applying the top coat, she told me she only had an hour per client and that next time I should already know what color I want (which I understand), but it was the tone and it came off as if i wasted her time. That comment was surprising and frustrating. If time limits are that strict, they should be communicated upfront and not taken out on the client. I did have a pedicure done by another nail tech (i forgot her name), and that experience was amazing. No pain, perfectly done cuticles, and she was very kind and attentive. When asked at the end, how was everything? I honestly regret saying something about the manicure service, but i wanted to leave and not be there anymore. I've updated this thread with pictures of our text exchange. I kept my composure and spoke calmly throughout all of our exchanges, including over the phone. I hung up on Leyla because she berated me for 15 minutes and would not let me get a word out. Is berating your customers acceptable behavior? Over the weekend I did some thinking and decided I didn't want to do ANY business with them, so I called to take them up on their refund since I had some time to come in and get my set removed today. I found out they blocked my number because none of my calls went through. This was confirmed when they picked up the phone after my boyfriend contacted them. After hearing why we were reaching out to them, they verbally accosted him as well! People only act this way when they know that they are in the wrong. This is a dishonest and sneaky business that claims professionalism but is nothing but the opposite. I'm reading other reviews and I'm learning that they're also discriminatory/racist. Writing an update after being a loyal customer for over a year. My last visit to this salon I got a new nail tech, who cut my cuticles until they bled on 4 nails and filed all of my nails down to the root skin. So, first of all, it's really not nice to discuss other clients in front of a customer. Basically, they were just sitting there, and the nail tech, Lana, was talking about how a certain client really annoyed her. Also, swearing in front of a client is super unprofessional. Lana literally said something like, "I'm so f***ing sick of sitting here," and things along those lines. She kept going on and on, and it was just really unprofessional. Also, here's another issue: they never showed me a certain color booklet with some specific shades. I visited several times, and I only noticed this booklet on my last visit. When I mentioned to the nail tech that I had never seen those colors before, she just said, "Oh, I don't like those colors, so I never showed them to you." Basically, she never let me see certain options just because she personally didn't like them. I mean, that's just ridiculous. read more

This salon is so cute, so clean, and the nail techs and front desk girls are SO sweet and hospitable. However, I got a hard gel manicure and it did not last even one week. Within 6 days, two nails had chipped and now two weeks later, almost every nail has chipped. I've never had this issue with a hard gel manicure before, usually I pay the extra bit for hard gel so my nails last 2-3 weeks, sometimes even a month. I'm also extremely careful with my nails, I wear gloves and when cleaning/doing dishes, I use a scalp scrubber instead of my nails to wash my hair, etc. Unfortunately I don't think I will be coming back as it was pricey and did not last. read more

I have to say this is my favorite place I've gotten my nail done in all of LA. The service here is great. They text you to confirm appointments, you're seated promptly, and greeted with refreshments. The interior is very cute, clean, everyone keeps their tools very sanitary and the nail polish color choices they have here are lovely. I got my mani pedi here done by Ziza and she did an amazing job. She understood the shape I wanted and I didn't have to ask her to fix anything. She let me test out a few colors before deciding on one. They even offer a gel that's harder and lasts longer than the standard for an extra fee. I added it because my natural nails felt a bit brittle and needed some extra support. For my pedi, I added a callus removal...I've only ever experienced callus scrubs before - this place has a tool that shaves down your calluses! They do add a scrub afterwards but it was not super ticklish. Will definitely be back! read more

I used to be a nail biter, so if I ever did get my nails done at a regular salon, as soon as the polish would start to peel, I would bite it all off. I have been to Perfect Nails 3 times now to get Gel X in an effort to grow my nails out under the extensions until my natural nails are long enough on their own. I most recently saw Anna for the first time, who was amazing. She did a great job removing all of my cuticles, but was super gentle. She got the shape perfect and was so nice. She will be my new go to nail tech. Leyla spent several minutes helping me choose the perfect color. I felt very well taken care of and walked away with the best manicure I have ever gotten. My nails are now long and strong enough that the next time I go in, I can get a regular Gel manicure instead. The new location is very nice and feels high end. I think their prices are fair for the quality of work. I haven't had any issues with my Gel X lasting 3 weeks between appointments.
