This past weekend someone ran over our retaining wall pulling some of the blocks apart. I was so upset that I left a message on the voice mail on Sunday. We have not had them do any work for us since they put in the retaining wall several years ago since that was the last big project. Well Monday morning I got a call from Jim. He asked me what happened. I told him. He was working on a job but said he would come by sometime that morning or afternoon to take a look at the damage. He did and then called me in the afternoon. He pulled the rocks away and put the blocks back. He said he didn't have any glue with him but he would come back and do the another day. He knew how upset I was so he wanted to get it back to the way it was. When I asked him how much I owed him, he said nothing. He said he couldn't charge me for it. I got news for you, most people don't do work for nothing but Jim did. He fixed my wall and now it looks as beautiful as it ever did. Time is precious to all of us so when someone does something for me and doesn't charge me I want to tell the world. It is a shame that more people don't take time to say thank you.
