I've stayed here several times over the last 15 years, and it never disappoints. As one of Universal Orlando's original three Premier Resorts, it has everything you could want. The rooms are huge, the beds are hands down the most comfortable in all of the Universal hotels, the sheets are unbelievably soft, and there are plenty of great restaurants on property. The value is incredible too. Your room key doubles as an Express Pass at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, and if you've ever priced those passes, you know they can easily cost over $200 per person, per day. That alone makes staying here worth considering. We kicked off our trip with drinks at the Thirsty Fish. Check out my separate review because it was fantastic. We also had dinner at Mama Della's, which deserves its own review as well. This trip was all about the resort. We talked about going to CityWalk and maybe even hitting the parks, but we were having such a great time that we never left the hotel. Since it was just the two of us, it turned into the perfect relaxing getaway. Most people head to the Beach Pool with the slide, but we spent our time at the Villa Pool, and it was exactly what we were looking for. It reminded me of the pool at the Ritz-Carlton. Palm trees everywhere, a huge pool, tons of lounge chairs, and a much quieter atmosphere. It's only a short walk from the Beach Pool, and I was happy to find out it has the same full food and drink service. I ordered a tequila berry spritzer...or at least I think that's what it was called. I'll post a picture because I can't remember the exact name, but it was so good that by our second day it seemed like everyone around the pool was ordering one. Our second night, a big thunderstorm rolled in. We had reservations at CityWalk but canceled them, grabbed pizza and a Caesar salad from Sal's Market (see that review too), and had dinner in our room. Honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. Good food, a little TV, some quality time together, and no reason to be anywhere else. We were only there for three days, but it felt like a true vacation. Whether you're coming to Orlando for the parks or just looking for an amazing staycation, Loews Portofino Bay is hard to beat. Was this review a little long? Probably. Do I care? Not even a little. We had an amazing time, and I think you will too.

We enjoyed the resort, yet I felt that the standards should've been a bit higher for cleanliness for the price of rooms. The room was fairly average and a decent size, but it seemed to be cleaned in what I call a "surface clean" instead of a deeper clean. At a glance everything was tidy and accounted for, but I noticed a handful of things that needed to be addressed: one bedskirt had many large white stains easily visible, the bathroom doors had quite a few dirty hand/fingers prints, the shower floor felt somewhat slimy under my feet with some clear mildew, and while the bathroom floor was mopped/vacuumed, the edges of the bathroom weren't tended to so some buildup was visible. And while I'm sure it's a hard thing to address, we did see a few large cockroaches around and while getting into an elevator at ground level. These sorts of things that fall outside of a basic room cleaning should at a minimum be addressed regularly if not at each room processing. For me, they definitely take away from my impression of a hotel/resort, especially one marketed as deluxe or luxury. As for the beds, I'd actually chosen this hotel for reviews that stated the mattresses were plush, however while I'll admit they weren't extremely firm, they definitely didn't feel plush. The food at the restaurants was consistently good...we enjoyed a few meals at Trattoria and a takeaway pizza at the Deli...appreciated they had gluten free crust as well as snacks available. Again, beautiful resort, pools, grounds, and great access to entertainment...they just need to up their game in housekeeping.

Two months ago in January, we requested a stay at a beach property for our Anniversary. Our rep said that he'd call us back to confirm, yet he never did. He has never even returned any of our calls to his voicemail! We've since called the main number, only to be told that this property is now all booked up. They then sent us a confirmation for a property we didn't want (claiming that it is now the only one available in the entire area). We paid almost $500 for this "vacation" stay, but my wife and I now suspect that a "Bait and Switch" has been pulled on us. I've emailed guest services, I've repeatedly called guest service, yet no one is willing to escalate this to upper management to find out what happened back in January. My email to their "Guest Experience Team" has gone without reply. Since they already have our money, we have no choice but to stay where we don't want and take their mandatory tour. But, the way that we've been treated, I would never want to invest in their timeshare program. They simply can't be trusted!

You can also take a little scenic walk and be there in less than 10 minutes which was great since we were going to the park. The stay comes with free fast passes and early entry if you have tickets for the parks. They offer room service and have multiple bars on site with daily entertainment. Now the ROOMS are VERY outdated. For the price of the stay the rooms should be in better condition. We did complain about the smell of the room and the flickering restroom light as soon as we walked in and they did come to fix the light ASAP but the smell was there the entire stay. It smelled like mildew, like if something was wet in the room. They said they would investigate where the smell was coming from but we never heard back from them. We also noticed our fridge was not cooling our drinks but we didn't say anything to the staff so it's not like they had a chance to fix it. No points taken off there. Staff was a BIT rude, kind of dismissive at checking in and checking out. Checking in I told her we had a big group reservation and parking for everyone would be charged to that company card on file. She said she still needs a just in case something happens. I said cool and gave her my personal debit card for incidentals instead of my company card, she charged my personal card for the parking even though I had just told her we had it set up so my company card would take care of parking for all of our guests. I explained once again and she fixed it but didn't seem happy. You could pick up the attitude in her tone. Checking out: we heard we could turn our keys into guitar picks which the kids thought would be great souvenirs. Upon approaching check out I told the woman named Kat that we wanted to check out and she almost whispered under her breath "well check out is automatic but SURE I'll do it for you" I apologized because I felt like I could've explained better and told her we heard about them turning the check in card into picks and that's why we were there. l and handed her all 5 of ours cards. She said "ALL FIVE?" And just stared at me. At that point I felt like I was asking for too much and told her just the kids cards is fine. Overall, the hotel itself is gorgeous. It has a game room, multiple bars, snack/ice cream shop, pool area has a slide, sand volleyball court and multiple bars. The rooms is what stood out to us the most. We just expected the rooms to be in perfect shape. Not flickering lights and a bad smell soon as we check in for family/team vacation. One more thing there were ducks in the pool that pooped in there several times and they do not clean it up so the kids are swimming with duck poop.

Against my better judgment, I decided to give them a chance--and I deeply regret it. The only helpful person throughout this ordeal was DeeDee, who was kind and responsive, but unfortunately, she didn't have access to the systems that actually mattered (like rental homes or ticketing). I booked a rental home for my family well in advance, expecting a smooth check-in after our cruise. Instead, I didn't receive *any* information about the property until just two hours before check-in, despite multiple attempts to get in touch for confirmation. I was left completely in the dark, not knowing if my family--including my husband and in-laws--would even have a place to sleep that night. It was embarrassing and stressful. Trey finally told me that due to an error on their end, the home I initially booked was no longer available. He promised to "find" us a replacement--*hours later*, we were placed in a home that was nothing like what we reserved. It was outdated, clearly much cheaper, and absolutely not comparable in quality. To make matters worse, no one has followed up with me about a refund, a discount, or even an apology. As a short-term rental host myself, I would *never* treat guests the way this company does. You don't leave families guessing where they'll be sleeping just hours before check-in. I was so stressed about the situation that I couldn't even enjoy time with my family at Disney Springs. The anxiety this caused completely overshadowed what should've been a relaxing part of our vacation. To top it off, I had to call and email multiple times just to get our Disney tickets delivered. DeeDee did her best to help with that, but it shouldn't have been such a struggle. Trey showed no urgency and barely communicated. He hadn't even arrived at the office by 11 a.m., while my family was left scrambling. I'm currently pursuing a refund and, unsurprisingly, haven't received any response from Trey or anyone else. Bottom line: this was a nightmare. I will *never* use Orlandovacation.com again, and I urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere--Airbnb or any other reputable service would've been a far better choice. We arrived (6 adults and 3 children) in Orlando from Brazil with a confirmed reservation and the house rented by us was being refurbished. Amazing because we did not receive any notice prior our arrival. On the contrary we received a "welcome letter" saying " Your property has been inspected prior to your arrival, so we expect you to enjoy a trouble-free stay". We did not get any support nor assistance from the manager James Cockman. The way he acted seems he does not care at all with the customer satisfaction or he considers normal the situation we faced. He offered in exchange a house completely off the standards we expected. When we said "NO" He did "ZERO" to help us to find another property in Orlando. The only thing he offered, very proud, was a full reimbursement. We were 6 adults and 3 children looking for a place to stay in Orlando in a high demand period, without ANY SUPPPORT. The reimbursement is far away from what we expected as a compensation for an absurd mistake, moral damages and time we lost. Florida Vacation Homes NEVER AGAIN.

There are multiple buildings and we stayed in building 2. It was quiet even though close to the highway and a very short walk to building 1 where breakfast is served. Breakfast has very little and kind of lacking, but it is good for what you pay. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. No complaints! I wouldn't hesitate to book again for the Great price.

We recently stayed in orlando and needed more room than a hotel room. It was spring break for my last 2 youngins. We stayed on vista cay resort property. We rented out a very nice, spacious 3 bedroom. Looking at the reviews made me skeptical. I had to see it for myself. Each apartment unit is different. The property is gated with passcode access. The grounds were well maintained and that was a good start. Once we entered the apartment it was just right for us with plenty of room. The entire apartment was nicely decorated with flatscreen tvs with cable channels in every room plus living area. Kitchen also had all the appliances, dishes for cooking if you would like. There was also a pool table to shoot pool for entertainment in the front room. My boys enjoyed that. Throughout the night it was very peaceful. No noise or any night disturbances from the neighbors. There is a very nice lake to walk around with plenty of parking near each apartment. I will definitely rent through milllenium properties in any state i visit that they have rentals in.

There was no king bed in any of the rooms in the house. We book properties specifically with king size beds and would not have booked this property if we had known there was no king size bed. It's out-right false advertising. Additionally, when we went into the master bathroom to use the toilet, we removed the "sanitary paper strip" and found a giant chunk of hair inside the toilet! It was disgusting. We also noticed that there were several bleach marks and stains in the carpets as well as discoloration on the walls. We took photos of everything (including the toilet) and sent it to the property manager the same night. They never responded. If Fidelity Vacation Homes manages your rental, do not book it!
