I've stayed here several times over the last 15 years, and it never disappoints. As one of Universal Orlando's original three Premier Resorts, it has everything you could want. The rooms are huge, the beds are hands down the most comfortable in all of the Universal hotels, the sheets are unbelievably soft, and there are plenty of great restaurants on property. The value is incredible too. Your room key doubles as an Express Pass at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, and if you've ever priced those passes, you know they can easily cost over $200 per person, per day. That alone makes staying here worth considering. We kicked off our trip with drinks at the Thirsty Fish. Check out my separate review because it was fantastic. We also had dinner at Mama Della's, which deserves its own review as well. This trip was all about the resort. We talked about going to CityWalk and maybe even hitting the parks, but we were having such a great time that we never left the hotel. Since it was just the two of us, it turned into the perfect relaxing getaway. Most people head to the Beach Pool with the slide, but we spent our time at the Villa Pool, and it was exactly what we were looking for. It reminded me of the pool at the Ritz-Carlton. Palm trees everywhere, a huge pool, tons of lounge chairs, and a much quieter atmosphere. It's only a short walk from the Beach Pool, and I was happy to find out it has the same full food and drink service. I ordered a tequila berry spritzer...or at least I think that's what it was called. I'll post a picture because I can't remember the exact name, but it was so good that by our second day it seemed like everyone around the pool was ordering one. Our second night, a big thunderstorm rolled in. We had reservations at CityWalk but canceled them, grabbed pizza and a Caesar salad from Sal's Market (see that review too), and had dinner in our room. Honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. Good food, a little TV, some quality time together, and no reason to be anywhere else. We were only there for three days, but it felt like a true vacation. Whether you're coming to Orlando for the parks or just looking for an amazing staycation, Loews Portofino Bay is hard to beat. Was this review a little long? Probably. Do I care? Not even a little. We had an amazing time, and I think you will too.

I paid just over $200 for three nights at an Orlando timeshare property in exchange for listening to a timeshare presentation. My wife and I do travel quite a bit, so we thought the timeshare concept might make sense. There were too many red flags; 1.) The price offer was only good for the time we were on-site. If we didn't agree to the terms right then and there, the deal was off. When passing on those terms, we were offered the ability to pay a $500 deposit, and then we would allegedly be able to review terms for 10-days 2.) We were encouraged to speak with other timeshare owners, and we happened to have met one that day. She said we'd be "crazy" to take the offer, and she regretted ever having developed a relationship with HGV. She stated that each time she wants to use her timeshare, they try to upsell her more "points" which are a poor value versus just booking her own travel. The whole "point" system is confusing, and it seems that the points are not as valuable as advertised. 3.) All of the sales tactics were choreographed, with an escalating series of new "managers" trying to close us. Overall, the accommodations where we stayed were nice, with free parking, a kitchenette and balcony, and a large pool on the property. It's disappointing that the timeshare presentation itself was less than ideal.

Two months ago in January, we requested a stay at a beach property for our Anniversary. Our rep said that he'd call us back to confirm, yet he never did. He has never even returned any of our calls to his voicemail! We've since called the main number, only to be told that this property is now all booked up. They then sent us a confirmation for a property we didn't want (claiming that it is now the only one available in the entire area). We paid almost $500 for this "vacation" stay, but my wife and I now suspect that a "Bait and Switch" has been pulled on us. I've emailed guest services, I've repeatedly called guest service, yet no one is willing to escalate this to upper management to find out what happened back in January. My email to their "Guest Experience Team" has gone without reply. Since they already have our money, we have no choice but to stay where we don't want and take their mandatory tour. But, the way that we've been treated, I would never want to invest in their timeshare program. They simply can't be trusted!

Against my better judgment, I decided to give them a chance--and I deeply regret it. The only helpful person throughout this ordeal was DeeDee, who was kind and responsive, but unfortunately, she didn't have access to the systems that actually mattered (like rental homes or ticketing). I booked a rental home for my family well in advance, expecting a smooth check-in after our cruise. Instead, I didn't receive *any* information about the property until just two hours before check-in, despite multiple attempts to get in touch for confirmation. I was left completely in the dark, not knowing if my family--including my husband and in-laws--would even have a place to sleep that night. It was embarrassing and stressful. Trey finally told me that due to an error on their end, the home I initially booked was no longer available. He promised to "find" us a replacement--*hours later*, we were placed in a home that was nothing like what we reserved. It was outdated, clearly much cheaper, and absolutely not comparable in quality. To make matters worse, no one has followed up with me about a refund, a discount, or even an apology. As a short-term rental host myself, I would *never* treat guests the way this company does. You don't leave families guessing where they'll be sleeping just hours before check-in. I was so stressed about the situation that I couldn't even enjoy time with my family at Disney Springs. The anxiety this caused completely overshadowed what should've been a relaxing part of our vacation. To top it off, I had to call and email multiple times just to get our Disney tickets delivered. DeeDee did her best to help with that, but it shouldn't have been such a struggle. Trey showed no urgency and barely communicated. He hadn't even arrived at the office by 11 a.m., while my family was left scrambling. I'm currently pursuing a refund and, unsurprisingly, haven't received any response from Trey or anyone else. Bottom line: this was a nightmare. I will *never* use Orlandovacation.com again, and I urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere--Airbnb or any other reputable service would've been a far better choice. We experienced an outlandish situation, from Florida/Reunion Vacation Homes. We rented a property…read more- 115860 RVH_1028R Linkside Breeze, for 16 days. We arrived (6 adults and 3 children) in Orlando from Brazil with a confirmed reservation and the house rented by us was being refurbished. Amazing because we did not receive any notice prior our arrival. On the contrary we received a "welcome letter" saying " Your property has been inspected prior to your arrival, so we expect you to enjoy a trouble-free stay". We did not get any support nor assistance from the manager James Cockman. The way he acted seems he does not care at all with the customer satisfaction or he considers normal the situation we faced. He offered in exchange a house completely off the standards we expected. When we said "NO" He did "ZERO" to help us to find another property in Orlando. The only thing he offered, very proud, was a full reimbursement. We were 6 adults and 3 children looking for a place to stay in Orlando in a high demand period, without ANY SUPPPORT. The reimbursement is far away from what we expected as a compensation for an absurd mistake, moral damages and time we lost. Florida Vacation Homes NEVER AGAIN.

There are multiple buildings and we stayed in building 2. It was quiet even though close to the highway and a very short walk to building 1 where breakfast is served. Breakfast has very little and kind of lacking, but it is good for what you pay. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. No complaints! I wouldn't hesitate to book again for the Great price.

There was a single nightstand between the beds in our room, which is a pet peeve of mine because we both like to keep water at bedside. The 27" no-name TV was very small by today's standards, and the remote control worked poorly. The room was particularly noisy in the early morning hours from the freeway directly behind the hotel. The bathroom was adequate, and there was no skimping on towels. A plus was the Dove-branded dispenser bottles in the tub shower. Breakfast requires a paper voucher, and there was a "security" person (actually 2 of them) checking, in addition to the attendant wiping tables. The food was not particularly good, but no worse than other places at this and even higher price points. Table space was very limited, almost impossibly so on the weekend. I felt as if vultures were watching over me as I ate, waiting to pounce on the table. It appears as if people in the area try to sneak in the front door for a freebie breakfast. I wish I could have told the ones I saw that it wasn't worth it. We booked this hotel because of undeserved good reviews. If we are again in the area, we will not stay at this place.

We recently stayed in orlando and needed more room than a hotel room. It was spring break for my last 2 youngins. We stayed on vista cay resort property. We rented out a very nice, spacious 3 bedroom. Looking at the reviews made me skeptical. I had to see it for myself. Each apartment unit is different. The property is gated with passcode access. The grounds were well maintained and that was a good start. Once we entered the apartment it was just right for us with plenty of room. The entire apartment was nicely decorated with flatscreen tvs with cable channels in every room plus living area. Kitchen also had all the appliances, dishes for cooking if you would like. There was also a pool table to shoot pool for entertainment in the front room. My boys enjoyed that. Throughout the night it was very peaceful. No noise or any night disturbances from the neighbors. There is a very nice lake to walk around with plenty of parking near each apartment. I will definitely rent through milllenium properties in any state i visit that they have rentals in.
