This place gets a 5. The group of individuals who work at the auction are wonderfully caring people. I have purchased several cars from the auction. I have consigned 2 cars with them as well. The benefits of buying a car at the auction can be so rewarding their are a great deal of diamonds out there. With that being said their also is some that are rough. To fix this problem you can look and even have a mechanic look at the car before you purchase. The VIN is listed so you can do your research to ensure you don't over bid or get something that might not be worth it. I don't own the auction accountable for any of the things that I neglect to do. Love walking and looking at all the things ion the wall and all the items they have to purchase I have scored big time with the items . Don't be afraid to visit. You will be pleasantly surprised. I paid 4000 for a vehicle I got to drive for less than a month. I have spent so much money there and they rarely have sold any vehicle worth having as far as i know. I found flakes in my motor oil and water. And for what? So they could scam more money? That's crap!! read more

I'm not sure if my responses or review have made it to post but let this be known this place has a car lot that they own that funnels all there dealer trade-in's and bad buys into the auction so they make a premium on unless cars. i could go on for ever about the shady shit car auctions do but I'd rather not waste my breath, they got us for 2500 hard earned dollars. They have so many bad reviews it's crazy, they have such a forceful feeling on there terms and conditions it's overwhelming clear they know that people will most definitely be upset so they cover there ass, but in all honesty how can y'all sleep at night doing what your doing to people, nobody believes your bs about not knowing anything about these cars, why don't you do some due diligence and ask the seller is the car messed up or not take it for a drive you can do exactly the same thing an be honestly about shit cars and still make a lot of money. do u have any idea what 2500 dollars means to people these days, and you do it for way more that's crazy, there's so much more I wanna say but all I can do is shake my head. read more

Make sure you have a mechanic check out any car you buy from here. Engine light was on but there was no disclosure of this prior to bidding--not illegal, just shady. The $3,600 Jeep I bought from the "Running Vehicles" auction made it 4 miles before the engine blew up and had to be towed. Took the rest of the evening just to get it off the hi-way. Luckily I had Triple A so the tow didn't break the bank. Technically, I guess it was running, and yes, I know they make no guarantees, but any dime store mechanic would have heard that engine knock and advised against bidding, hell my mother probably could have diagnosed it. You'd be better off with a dealership and a salesman in a cheap suit. Don't get suckered in--make sure you get it checked out before bidding! read more

The main reason for this review is to hopefully provide knowledge to future CTM auto auction participants and provide some information to CTM that they can possibly use to make the car auction experience better for clients. The first thing I would like to admit is that this was my first auto auction experience and I totally took a risk winning a bid to purchase a car with transmission problems and now spending more money to replace the transmission or buying another car. If the transmission was good, I would have had a decent deal. I will take the responsibility of purchasing a car and spending way too much money on a car that I am unable to test drive before hand. My bad. The car I purchased was for my 16 year old daughter to drive with a single income. If you are someone who buys cars and sells them for profit this might be a place to go if you get a good deal. Especially if you are a mechanic or have a good mechanic. If you are someone who has money to burn this may be a place to go. Business Concerns: In my opinion, if an auction caller is going to say to the participants that a vehicle is a "good" then the business should verify vehicle is "good." I know auctions are supposed to be fun and entertaining, but there are other ways to about that in a "good" way. Another issue I have is that it is very possible that not all the vehicles that are listed online or at the site up for auction on a specific date or dates are available for you to purchase in person at live auction when you are expecting. For example last weekend only some of the vehicles listed for auction were displayed for live bidding in person. There was one other car I had in mind to possibly bid on but it didn't come through the auction for bidding. This may be in the terms and conditions listed on CTM's website but I am not sure right at the moment. Also I would like to add that I was told by one of the employees that car was driven to the auction site from up north. Not sure how this can happen if the car will not go out of 3rd gear. Someone is not telling the truth either the owner or CTM. If it is the owner I would think that CTM would want to confirm some basics before agreeing to auction a vehicle at a owners reserve or cost that would not be appropriate to the buyers. read more

I have purchased 2 vehicles from this auction and I just wanted to post this as a disclaimer to anyone who is planning on buying a car from this place. Don't get me wrong they are semi-transparent and very helpful however the condition in which some of these vehicles are in is honestly upsetting. I purchased a vehicle from them which I didn't look at first, I trusted that they would disclose information about the car and I was very mistaken. I take partial responsibility for not looking at the car first but there should be no reason I should show up to purchase my car and look at it and want to pass out. If you're trying to get a decent car I HIGHLY recommend going through all the motions and taking a mechanic with you and looking over the car with extreme scrutiny. You can get a decent car for a decent price, but only if you go through the steps. Granted you can't expect to be able to see every flaw in the vehicle without taking the insides apart and not every car will be like this but this was my personal experience. These guys are liars and scammers. I paid for a P inspection a few days before last weekend's auction, which they charged me for right away. The day before the auction I traveled to their location to look at the vehicle and check in about the inspection. The mechanic, Kyle, told me he would call me before he left for the night, as he would be out of town Sunday (the day of the auction) with the inspection info. I received no calls. Thus I decided not tobid on the vehicle, as I was not provided with the inspection I paid for. I called multiple times for a refund ($75 inspection + tax and 4% fee = $89+). Finally got in touch with manager Robby today and was told the inspection was done, he and Kyle called me multiple times (I have no missed calls from ANY number that day, but multiple outgoing calls to them over the past week) and they would not refund my money... I explained that was not true. They didn't call, didn't leave a message, didn't provide the service I paid for and I wanted a refund. Robby was EXTREMELY RUDE, terrible customer service, called me a liar, won't give me my money back and hung up me. Tell your friends and family to stay away. These guys are full of s@#%.
