Welp it wasn't steel and it was white gold and now out of luck because of her mistake. Blamed it on me and gas-lit me for it. Really unprofessional and wouldn't ever do business again. Stay away and just sell the watch to a jeweler store instead. Have the blackbox video of it happening and will be posting it on social media for everyone to see since "it is my problem now".

Advice to Ms. Baggenstoss- If you don't have time to take on new clients then don't take it them on waste months of time and then drop them 4 days before the work was scheduled to be completed. It's unprofessional, it's a waste of my time and it's completely avoidable. Advice to readers- Be warned, you may spend months only to get nowhere and need to start again. Response: If Ms. Bagenstoss had been remotely apologetic in her cancellation email ( or made any previous mention of health issues or time constraints) I wouldn't have posted negative reviews. Indeed when I emailed her my response to the abrupt cancellation (essentially this review with a mention that I would leave negative reviews) her response in full was "Thank you!". Taking care of yourself and treating other people's time and energy respectfully are not mutually exclusive.

So what does a lad with ADD do on a pretty day in Longview, WA after he just sat for an hour…read morewatching his pretty lass get a haircut and a pedicure? Walk around one of the main drags of the city checking out who is surviving in this nasty economy. Sadly, many places are sitting empty, operating on a skeleton schedule, on it's last legs, or making money and assisting people who have fallen on tough times....hence why Pets, Pawns, & Imports is taking names and kicking arse!! I have never had to use the services of a pawn shop, so I am not an expert at all on if this place is a good place to get a loan or not. There seemed to be quite a few folks using these services and the simple fact that this place is loaded to the hilt with inventory seems to speak to its popularity. This place has a boatload of employees, so just to make payroll would take a chunk of operating revenue. Really friendly and helpful staff were stationed all around to assist if need be. This is easily one of the cleanest and best organized pawn shops that I have ever shopped in. Back in the day, my vice used to be compact discs, so when I discovered that I could get them in pawn shops at a fraction of the cost, my frugal being was so there. Now, the vice is of the DVD variety, and this place rocks when it comes to prices and selection. Many, many titles for as low as 2 bucks a disc. Most box sets were less than 10 bucks!! Lots to choose from and all were in near mint condition which shows this place cares about quality. Nice selection of knives, rifles, shotguns, handguns, multi-tools (tons o' them), guitars, leather jackets, tools, electronics, laptops, you name it... They even sell exotic birds which will scare the bejaysus out of you when they squawk from behind the curtain. The aforementioned freshly coiffed and "pedi-fied" sexy lass was shocked that I had never seen a Harry Potter movie and being that I am going to be a first time uncle here very soon, she wants me to bulk up my DVD collection with childrens' flicks. We picked up the first 5 deluxe discs in the franchise for 10 bucks total!! Not too shabby considering how much DVDs can cost even used on Amazon Marketplace. Can't even get shipping for less than 3 bucks per disc. So if you are looking for a great deal....go to Pet, Pawns, & Imports! I gotta go and see if Harry is going to get that rat bastard Voldemort once and for all... Peace!!

All the one- and two-star reviews of this Goodwill made me curious to check it out when we recently…read morepassed through Longview. While it's definitely not the best Goodwill ever, I don't think it's as bad as it's made out to be -- if you haven't been there recently, it may be worth checking out again. This medium-sized Goodwill has the older WA Goodwill layout (before they introduced the fitting room cube in the center, which I'm not a fan of). Women's and juniors' clothes in the front, men's on the left side, kids' on the right and housewares at the back, shoes and bags in the center, plus a small books/media section in the front left corner. I found the prices to be pretty typical of WA Goodwill stores, and not particularly high compared to other Goodwills. They do have colored tag sales and discounts on the weekend -- when I was there, it was 50% off green tags and $1.99 pink tags, so deals can be had. The selection isn't huge, of course, but I tried on some Calvin Klein and Ann Taylor clothes that were reasonably priced. The fitting rooms are open and don't require someone to let you in, which is nice. The store isn't dirty and it smells fine, but it is somewhat messy and disorganized. On a Sunday afternoon a couple of hours before closing, the shelves were jumbled with items randomly thrown here and there, and there were abandoned clothes strewn around the fitting rooms. It's not ideal, but it didn't ruin my shopping experience or anything. Overall, it's a pretty typical small-town WA Goodwill store. Worth a visit if you're thrifting in the area or passing through (especially since there aren't a lot of choices in Longview).

The other workers I encountered were also unfriendly, and at one point I was followed around the sale, which felt incredibly uncomfortable and disrespectful. I understand that theft can be a concern at estate sales, but there's a difference between being cautious and making a paying customer feel like they're being treated as a suspected thief. I had my two children with me, and they were well behaved and respectful throughout the entire sale. I initially chose to reach out privately and give the company an opportunity to hear my concerns and respond before posting anything publicly. Unfortunately, I have not received a response. I also took the time to read the background story about Robin, her passing, and the company carrying on her sister's legacy. That story made me wonder: does the way this business is currently treating customers--and the 1.7-star rating and reviews here--really reflect the legacy she would want carried forward? A legacy is more than keeping a business going. It's also about how you treat the people who walk through the door. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if you care about being treated with basic courtesy and respect as a customer. I truly hope the people running it take a serious look at the customer experiences reflected in these reviews and make some changes
