Though the tour guide also say it in English, it still sounds like chinese, so hard to understand. This is very misleading! 2. The tour guide already asking for a tip even before the start of the tour. How do I know how much to give you if I don't even know how good is the tour or if I want to give a tip. 3. This is the worst tour experience. During the first day of a 3 day trip we took a charter bus to wait at a location in Downtown Los Angeles for the main tour bus. The wait at this location was close to 2 hours. It was also at a bad part of Downtown. When we finally got going with the first part of the tour at Pacific Coast it was 4:30 PM. We had to be at the bus stop at 7:30 AM!!! If we didn't have to wait so long for the bus, we could of had more time to enjoy. Also in the first day, the tour guide surprised us with an extra charge of $600+ for a cruise at San Francisco Bay. This charge was for a family of 6. We refused this tour, but we ended up assigned to the back of the bus for the entirety of the trip. The few who took the tour ended up at the front of the bus. Keep in mind the seating chart is in daily rotation. So at some point my family should of gotten to sit at the front. Second day was better. Instead of the optional cruise for 4 hours for $600+, we did our own tour using Uber. Last day was the trip to Yosemite. Started out pretty good, but ending in disaster. Our tour guide surprised us again with news that we will be using another bus to take us back home to Los Angeles. That's not the worst part. The bus's air conditioning doesn't work and it's 100 degrees outside. The bus windows cannot open and it's a 4 hour trip back to L.A.. I hope we make it back alive since I am in the bus writing this. I did a 5 day tour to Yellowstone & Grant Teton National Parks from Salt Lake City. I received no information about when & where to meet the guide & was passed around from person to person over the phone to find out. The visit to Grand Teton is just a drive through with one 5 min stop for pictures. My concerns then grew when the guide said "you only need 1 1/2 days in Yellowstone because it's just geysers & hot springs". This attitude lead to a terrible tour. Although many of the sights were amazing we were rushed through every stop & did not even go to some of the advertised sights. We were then ahead of schedule but instead of giving us more time in the national parks we were bused back to SLC early (missing out entirely on the 3rd day in Yellowstone). To make matters worse there was assigned seating which was rotated until the drive back the the city meaning some people hand a window seat for our entire stay in the National Parks while others missed out (would not have been as big of an issue had the people with window seats been respectful & not stood up & blocked the view every time we passed any animals or viewpoints). At one of the hotels I had a mouse in my room & neither the guide or hotel helped me so I had to capture & remove it myself They also collected $90 per person in cash as a "park entrance fee" (there were around 50 people on our tour so they got approx $4500) I later learned the entrance fee for a commercial vehicle of 26+ capacity is $300. On top of this the guide also asked for a $50 per person "service fee" on the 2nd day of the tour & her certainly did nothing to earn this additional $2500. This is easily the worst group tour I have ever been on & would highly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible! First off, service is terrible and if that wasn't enough they force you to tip every day. Tips should be earned not forced upon because at that point it's not even a tip, it's a hidden fee of $10 per day. In my experience, we weren't able to go to Antelope Canyon due to weather concerns. Weather concerns are very understandable, but what I can't understand is why they would not refund me price & tip for the Antelope Canyon portion of the trip if it never happened! They did not try to substitute another activity/event, but instead offer to take us back to Las Vegas without any tours. Keep in mind that we had already taken the Vegas portion of the tour. We tried to get out of going back to Vegas since they did not offer any additional service but we were not given any refund we wanted to end the trip early! The tour is pretty good organized! They do have hidden fees, it wasn't stated at time of booking online. Additional was $80 + $10 per day for buss per person. I think it should ether be stated at the time of booking or included in price from the beginning. I definitely do not complain because the booking price was pretty reasonable. C Tour travel bus driver tried to cause accident at 101 -380 exit on Sept 21 2017 @ 10 pm. It was a white Ford Transit or Nissan with license plate 3478____ wasn't able to get full #. Driver passed on Right side on the 101 to 380 exit Northbound then zig zagged trying to cause accident!! Got behind our vehicle w highbeams almost rear ending then tried to follow us - very violent and ignorance of rules. And during our Grand Canyon tour, an elderly needs to use the restroom coz the bus didnt make any stop but he said he dont care and we cannot use the restroom or make a stop. My family joined CTour for their 5-7 day option tour departing from Cupertino, CA: the tour was set to travel through Oregon, up to Seattle, and back. It's safe to saw this was not a relaxing experience at all, and my family was extremely disappointed although the price of the tour package was relatively cheap compared to others. In the future, we will back for more expensive companies rather than this. We initially booked our tickets because their *very misleading* and badly constructed website and affiliated tour agents claimed that this would be a relaxing experience, suitable for the elderly members of our group. However, our trip was mostly terrible: the only redeeming qualities were seeing the nature and seeing a few local sights. Every time they let us off the bus, they would only give us enough time to go to the bathroom, take a picture, and scramble back on. We had a few members of our traveling party who were elderly and unable to walk fast, but they did not respect them much, if at all. Do NOT take this tour if you are not from mainland China. The tour guide and driver speak in very fast Chinese 90% of the time, and only talk about random things that people from their culture will understand, instead of trying to explain the sights and sounds of the places we travel to. Some of my family members can actually speak Mandarin, but even they had trouble understanding because he spoke about Chinese specific details and neglected to explain even where the next destination was to any English speaking customers. They also came up with "rules" for passengers on their stuffy, insufferable tour bus such as "no drinks without a cap." They changed these rules and made them arbitrary depending on the passenger. The driver, whose last name is Guo, was extremely disrespectful to me and began yelling ballistically and scoffing at me after 3 members of my family got carsick due to the rocking of the bus and the irresponsible driving (he was texting and driving, while speeding). I brought in two McDonald's fountain drinks with tight lids and straws (not open containers, mind you) on a carry out tray and explained to him in my very basic Mandarin that they could not eat and just needed fluids and that we had paid for a relaxing experience, not this. He proceeded to yell at the top of his lungs in Chinese that he knew I did not understand because I had already explained to him that my grasp of Chinese was not great. This continued until the tour guide had to step in, and forced me to carry my drinks off the bus and finish them. Many fellow passengers apologized to me and told me they heard him yelling in a disrespectful manner. The driver even had the nerve to shake hands with my grandpa and inform many of my family members that *I* was the one who disrespected him. Later, when two other passengers came onto the bus with boba, he looked the other way and the tour guide let them onto the bus without a second glance, while I had been ripped out the other day when I was bringing sealed drinks for a legitimate reason. The driver, Mr. Guo, should not be a tour bus driver because his nasty attitude and his utter disregard for some passengers and rude, unfair treatment of others is arbitrary. Furthermore, they keep no open records for customers and up their "mandatory fees" on a whim. The tour guide told us that we had to pay a "mandatory driver and tour guide tip" on the FIRST day of the tour. They also demanded all payments be made in cash or to a personal Venmo account, which sets off red flags as well. I calculated the prices of the "cheap group tickets" that he claimed to have pushed for us to get based on the actual ticket prices on the pages of the Oregon Garden, Chihuly Garden and Glass, Seattle Tour, and Boeing Museum, and found that they overcharged us by at least $12 each. If you opted for their 5 day option, they charged you the 7 day price. Seems like a borderline scam company to me. In general, the experience was not fun. Although it wasn't the worst and other people have likely experienced worse things in their lives, NO customer should have to suffer through their mistreatment of clients. They provide VERY bad service, are rude and disrespectful, discriminatory against some non Chinese, and are cheap in both attitude and willingness to help customers. In addition, their use of little to no English, enabling of loud, disrespectful, and unruly mainland Chinese customers, and their arbitrary extra charges should be deterrents to any potential customers. The reckless driving by Mr. Guo should be reported to law enforcement for endangerment of passengers, particularly the elderly. read more

I booked a tour with E-World Travel & Tour to Yellowstone National Park &Grand Canyons with stopping in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. However, the tour was conducted by Ctour from LA. It was a terrible experience. The tour is 7 days for $778 a person. 1) There is a $10 mandatory tip per person a day. But I didn't even see the tour guide or anyone from the company at all on the first day. 2) I was told the tour was about 15 people when I was about to book the tour, but the tour was 53 people. 3)The tour had Chinese and non-Chinese spoken tourists, so the tour guide spoke Chinese and English, but his English was terrible. The couple who speak English told me that they can't get what the guide said. The girl sitting in front of me in the bus told her father that the guide needed to improve his English. The information he gave in Chinese and English was inconsistent. The tour guide's name is Jun. the guide kept talking how good the KA and David Copperfield shows are. It turned out that the casino for these two shows is MGM and our tour group stayed in Park MGM. 4) The tour offered a day trip to Grand Canyon. But if you don't go, you need to pay $30 to the tour company. The price of $778 doesn't include any entrance fee. So you need to include about $250 in you budget per person 5) on the last day of the tour, the bus drove us to a place where there are about 3 stores, a Chinese buffet restaurant which opens 10am -2:30pm, a store sells stuff like vitamins and cosmetics, and a Mexican restaurant. Then the tour guide told us we will stay there for an hour, and we can eat buffet there. But it was not even 10am. So we sat on ground to wait to leave. Circus circus hotel is not clean at all and it seems too outdated, I hope that Ctour will upgrade to a better hotel and I'm willing to pay the extra money. Within the four days, I had 3 different tour guides who were not on the same page. It seems as though they didn't communicate with each other at all. The first tour guide followed us from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for the first day. She (Xiao Lu) indicated that another tour guide will lead us for the following two days. She asked our group to meet in the hotel lobby at 6:50am tomorrow. However, when we showed up, the new tour guide started to yell at us saying we were supposed to meet at 6:30am instead, using very abusive language to personally attack us with his microphone. His name is Zhao Yue and he was very poorly trained. He even challenged us to go ahead and report him to the company. Only the last tour guide was little bit better. If you want to have a pleasant trip, stay away from this travel agency. It seems to me that the company didn't care about the customer service at all!! (he did speak English, but they were elementary leveled) Throughout the entire tour he did absolutely nothing, just told us to follow him and hurry up without looking behind to see if anyone is missing. Threatened to leave us behind and fend for ourselves if we come back late or can't keep up. He introduced nothing about California, just forced us to trek around then return back to the bus. Or disappeared completely and we were expected to be at the bus on the marked time. Immediately collected tip for the tour without letting the customers having an impression on him (he probably planned to not do his job that's why he forced us to tip first). Also made us wake up at 5am or 6am. Most of the tour was just driving around and following him around like delinquents. Also put up some scam offers for lunch and breakfast. Why do I know this? I didn't buy it and actually look around the local area where he dropped us off for the attraction. The prices were around $8-9. Absolutely not flexible nor concern for the customers. At one point he angered the entire bus that a riot started. He stood there repeating the same thing over and over again like a broken radio. The solution would've been solved if he called the company again to confirm their decision, but noooooo, he made the decision for us without our consent. The tour guide's job is to address the customer's concern. Instead he dismissed it completely by making his own rules. WE WILL BE FILING A REPORT TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BECAUSE OF THE EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AND INCONVENIENCE THAT THIS TOUR GAVE US. MY NARRATIVE IS AS FOLLOWS. Initially, we purchased tickets online for a 3-day tour to Las Vegas. During the first day; however, we were surprised to have been notified by our tour guide that we had to pay for a city tour. We shouldn't have been charged such a lot of money if a simple city tour can't even take place - we were merely dropped off to our respective hotels. Moreover, we were again charged -- spontaneously -- for our Grand Canyon tour. Our tour guide, Patrick Tuan, asked us to pay 90 bucks per head for the Grand Canyon tour, yet it was found in the tour's website that the Grand Canyon tour costs only 50 bucks. We then found out that the extra 40 was for food, the food being a sandwich, a banana, an apple, a small bag of chips, and a bottle of water. Those combined wouldn't even cost 40 dollars. Moving on, we were on the road from our Las Vegas hotel to the Grand Canyon for about 4 hours, only to spend one hour in the Grand Canyon. The long line to the restroom probably took more than 15 minutes, therefore costing us our Grand Canyon 1-hour tour. It was very inconvenient seeing as we drove for hours only to spend an hour in our destination. The tour guide didn't even "tour" us at all while we were in the canyon. Everything was rushed and we didn't enjoy the trip that we PAID for. We went to Hoover Dam next but there was not much to see, but still we were rushed and since we are traveling as a group, we couldn't enjoy taking pictures at our own pace. Lastly, as part of our tour itinerary, we were supposed to go to the outlets for shopping before going back to LA, but we were dismayed and frustrated when the tour guide said that we couldn't do so due to the traffic. It wasn't a convincing reason, it was a trivial excuse. Not to mention, the tour guide is horribly rude. Furthermore, we asked our tour guide, Patrick Tuan, for a receipt from our purchase for the Grand Canyon tour. He was eager to dismiss my inquiry by quickly responding that the transaction had no receipt. It felt like a case of fraud to know that not only were the prices different, but there was no proof that I paid for something I wasn't even satisfied with. Not a good experience. Nightmare. Las Vegas to San Francisco 3day 2 nights. On the tour was our family of three, two other big families and one small, plus a woman. Noisy! When the tour guide made announcements, a lot of people had no shame in talking over her & it made people uncomfortable and unhappy! How can you not respect others so much! And there was a family in particular that did whatever they wanted to do. They got on the bus with drinks (McDonald's cold drinks, milkshakes) although the guide has announced that it wasn't allowed! Why was it not enforced? What would it feel to the rest of the group? My husband was impulsively trying to tell them that they had to get on board in time, but I told him it was the tour guide's responsibility. My husband was very disappointed. Guide Bonnie did not take into account the rights and feelings of other tourists from beginning to end, leaving some to do whatever they wanted. We were assigned seats to make it fair for each family, but the tour guide allowed a family to remain in the same parts of the bus just because they wanted it, which threw off the seating for every other family. My husband said he would consider the choice of the next tour. What if you meet such a tour guide and team member for 8 days? Three days trip to San Francisco was the wrong choice. But I'm not complaining about the company as a whole because our previous guide of your team was very informative, you get so much knowledge! From geography to history, there are many gains! Thank you again. Back in San Francisco, the three days didn't make any sense! What did we do? Get off the bus to use the bathroom, take a picture, & get back on the bus for half an hour, & watch movies! Did not hear the tour guide all along the way! Only heard how long it will take to get to the next stop! With the original Yosemite! There was fire that occurred a few weeks ago which forced a change of schedule, which I completely understand, but they replaced it to the Danish village, which did not equate! It took us $45 ($5 discount to change the itinerary) to throw us out of the car for 2 hours of free activity! & immediately after, we got back on the bus and the trip was over! It is really a pain in the mind and money! Of course, after all of the above I returned to Houston to discuss matters with the travel agent! My husband and I went on a 7 day California/Oregon/Seattle tour two weeks ago. The tour guide/driver did a good job driving us around and arranged self pay restaurants/hotels. However, it was very uncomfortable to sit with 14 adults (wearing face mask) inside a van plus the luggage in the back of the car. 4 adults need to squeeze into the last row. In addition to the base price we paid ahead, we also need to pay, in CASH, additional money to cover daily tips for the tour guide, admission fee to parks/Space Needle/Boeing Factory/Chihuly Glass Garden, Amtrak train ticket..., totaling about half of the base price, ending up over $1000 per person for this trip. On the last day, the driver did not follow the scheduled route and instead drove to SF Airport to drop 3 people off, delayed driving schedule and had to call a UBER to send my husband and I home. Have not used them personally but saw one of their buses (#1806) as we drove home from Vegas. He tailgated, cut off cars, switched lanes with no warning, exceeded the speed limit, the list goes on. BEWARE! Read other reviews and trust me this agency will SCAM you and hold you HOSTAGE until you pay for additional options they offer. They take advantage of tourists and older folks. My older parents took a recent 3 day Vegas/Grand Canyon tour and when on the bus on route to Vegas they signed up for other options not knowing that it's additional fees. They were under the understanding everything was included. They ended up paying an additional $600 more, this is 3 times what I paid for their trip. Part of the trip included Grand Canyon but they made them take a shorter route which costed $100 more. This is outrageous!! The tour guide didn't speak English fluently and had an accent. She refused to refund for tickets purchased by them on accident and basically said she has 60 people to take care of. Isn't this part of her job and why do they collect mandatory service fees to be paid to her then? When my parents said they didn't have $600 to pay in cash the tour guide refused to give them hotel key for their accommodations. Basically they were held as hostage until they agreed to pay. We called the agency to see if they can help us and they refused to do anything. This agency uses Take Tour or is the same I am not sure because that is the online website for ticket purchases so RUN and use other agencies that will not rip you off. On August 1, 2017, a tour-bus, bearing a trade name of "CTour Holiday" which, the writer believed was based in Los Angeles, California, had a scheduled tour run from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon West. Minutes after taking off, the bus tour guide, introduced himself as Tony, announced that everyone had to pay eight US dollar tips to the bus driver, and that it was mandatory, the money had to collected at that moment. There were 40-50 people on the bus, majority of them was international tourists. One elderly man pleaded that he carried cash enough only to pay for a SkyWalk ticket, but offered to pay with a check, or other means but was blandly refused. The tour guide then shouted at him "if you don't pay now, I will not give you ticket to the Grand Canyon", "we will not take you back to Las Vegas". The driver echoed the demand by saying that tips had to be paid. Why tourists are required to pay tips, particularly at the onset of a tour? The writer happened to believe that the guide's manner constituted a harassment and coercion. It is not acceptable and should not be legal. This is a VERY HORRIBLE tour experience for my group. The first is the tour guide K-love or Caleb was so rude. He don't let anyone use the restroom even if it is "EMERGENCY" even if the next the stop is still 2 hours away. The main purpose of the tour was for us to see the Grand Canyon, that was the name of the tour. If we wanted to go sight-seeing in Las Vegas, then we would of gotten the Las Vegas tour rather than the Grand Canyon tour. Since we did not do the "OPTIONAL" activities, he gets really mad and starts picking on my group just because he cannot get any money from us. I find it unfair that he treated us differently because we didnt pay for the "EXTRA OPTIONAL" activities. And then, during the Grand Canyon tour, he was rushing us to finish the sight seeing and only giving us like 20-30 minutes. How can you appreciate the Hoover Dam if you only have 25 minutes to go to the top and come back to the bus on time. I would rate this service minus star. If you take the tour of this company, you waste money and time. "DONOT EVER BUY ANY TOUR from CTOUR." The service is bad in general. I just took the trip from LA to San Francisco for 3 days. I pay $150 per person in cash (buy 2 tickets get 1 free. It sounds good deal, but they charge additional $50, per person, plus tip $8 per day per person($8x3 days= $24), so totally , i pay extra $75 when i am on the bus. I just got back from a trip through C Tour through national parks in Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. I agree with all the reviews above, would definitely not recommend this company. My trip was booked through globerouter, which I haven't seen mentioned before. These companies are definitely geared toward native Chinese speakers, which was absolutely not evident before the trip. If you are a native English speaker or from the US, I would look for another company. read more

Our tour guides name is Yue... he speaks in chinese for an hour straight and translates it in english in just 15 minustes. Most of the time he just stays in the bus so we just have to figure out for ourselves where to go! Easy money for him since the tip is mandatory! We were the only one who is not chinese in the bus. Most of them are really loud with the exception of few who have good manners. I definitly do not recommend ctour especially if you are not chinese. This is our worst vacation ever! In the morning, the tour guide didn't show up on time for two hours and he finally showed up "stating" that all the cash he carries was stolen in his room in SLS hotel in Las Vegas and he was asked not to contact others by the police in the room and that's why he kept up waiting for so long. We joined Yellowstone tour through usitour on June 06. The tour guide name nick Liu have no experience, knowledge at all. Is a long ride from one place to the other, and all nick said is take some rest rather share story or experience to us. Did not tell us much about the place .People travel so far to see different place and NOT TO SLEEP. He even smoke cigarettes vapors in the bus.He is rude and not fun at all. I emailed to the company (usitour) on the 3 rd day and the company only call me after 3 weeks later. Later I found out that the tour guide was hired my c tour holiday. Told them what happened,he said nick is a new tour guide and lack of experience. I told them he has no knowledge and experience but the worse thing is his behavior and rude to other. is not acceptable.We planned for long time for this tour and my friends travel from other country just to visit Yellowstone. What a nightmare for them. I told the company they should refunds all the tourist tips and apology to everyone. He told me a $50 refund total. Wow. We are two Australians who did the so called 12 day Ctour Antelope Canyon-Mt Rushmore Yellowstone, Las Vegas San Francisco tour 09/19/17 - 09/30/17. After making the booking from Australia I THEN came across all the dreadful reviews of this company and with much trepidation we arrived in LA. I had thought of cancelling but we would have lost airfares etc. On the 1st day the bus arrived and the tour guide Roy raced in and spoke to two Chinese speaking girls, ignoring us and we just followed to the bus. We were completely mystified by what he was talking about - swapping buses etc for various people further on. Did he mean us? Fortunately a lovely Chinese speaking couple from Vancouver interpreted for us and from then on were extremely helpful in clearing up a lot of what we couldn't take in. I have to say after the next day Roy was much more slower and clearer speaking in English but any information was 10 mins Chinese and 2 mins English. We did see the places on the itinerary but it was so rushed. Every stop had to be a toilet stop with our full busload and 3-4 other busloads of Ctour passengers. Queues everytime and we were warned some days not to drink water as tomorrow there were long distances. Entire stops were spent in going to the toilet and little time for food breaks etc. We left most mornings at 6 or 6.15 and got in no earlier than 8.30 without having a meal so were expected to eat Chinese or search at that time for our dinner. Three mornings we had an early breakfast which was much appreciated. The worst day which was a ripoff was Grand Canyon visit. We left at 4.50 am and our $90 visit was suppose to include buffet lunch. We got there about 8.00 am and were leaving 11ish. We tried to eat at the first Restaurant, sorry the food hasn't arrived so we moved on to the Ranch Restaurant, sorry only doing breakfast, sorry out of pancakes. We had a very poor breakfast. How could we have buffet lunch if we were leaving at 11.30. Everyone was upset even the Chinese passengers. Back at Las Vegas by 2.30pm. The only short day but no lunch. Anyway to sum up. Every other passenger spoke Chinese as well as some English except for ourselves. After a few days we did feel more at home with other passengers who could speak some English and also were smiling and being very friendly. We enjoyed their company. However we had to constantly double check what was taking place and it was a fast pace sightseeing. Our driver Alfred helped unload our bags from the bus but you are on your own and one night we had to go up to third floor with bags (no elevator) and other nights two floors. Most hotels and motels not too bad but one horrible night in San Francisco with damp and night club to early hours. On trip to San Francisco no help with bags whatsoever. Non speaking English driver. YOU DO NOT REMAIN ON THE SAME BUS FOR THE ENTIRE TOUR NO you waste more time in parking lots changing buses while people collect bags and go back and forth. This happened on several occasions including our three (2 + parking lots) days to San Francisco with a new tour guide Vivienne. She was much more a tour guide and her English was good and she was very organised. That section was still fast paced but we learnt a lot more and she was very interesting. She actually made that section much more enjoyable and worthwhile. More info: Fourteen hour days. Dinner after 8.30 at night. Most meal stops at Chinese Restaurant but were NOT harassed about not eating there but you had to walk blocks for something to eat at night in some towns. Accommodation OK. Although breakfast included some mornings we left too early to eat it. Sightseeing at 7.00 am!! Sightseeing at 7.30 pm in rain!! GOOD POINTS; We were never verbally abused but were ignored and rushed explanations. We were told to have a sleep all the time because of the great amount of time on bus travelling without stopping to sightsee anything other than exact items on itinerary. By the end of the tour we had fellow passengers welcoming us and had met two Chinese speaking Aussies who were fun and very friendly as well from Indonesia etc. ALL PASSENGERS THAT SPOKE ENGLISH INCLUDING CHINESE PASSENGERS WERE UNHAPPY WITH TOUR. We were happy with the extra options that we paid for as these were clearly written on our invoice at time of payment. We would not recommend this company to others if you wish an informative and more comfortable tour and would like to eat and sleep at more appropriate times. read more

It was a long trip from LA to San Francisco, he explained things and provided so many useful information in detail in English, I learned many history and the story behind those gorgeous landmarks. The tour was absolute horrible. They take you to the same family owned Americanized chinese buffets that has 1 star reviews. They repeatedly keep doing this and start charging the customers 15 for a buffet but if you were a customer not going on a tour they will charge you 10. As far as the hotel they will take you to cheap motels that are sketchy. The room rates at the motel are about 20 dollars. On the tour they rush you and at the attractions and tell you things last minute. For example we are not eating lunch tommorow. Every single night we ate dinner litterally at 10pm. On paper in fine print it says there are hidden fees. But they will not specify the amount of hidden fees or which amount goes to which. The amount of hidden fees for my 8 day tour was 240 per person. I wouldn't have mind paying the hidden fees if they were more organized and actually recommended good restaurants to eat instead of these prison food restaurants. Most people think this review would be a little to the extreme side but trust me it was that bad of an experience. Also FYI Tours4Fun, seagull, ctour are all affiliated so make sure you do your research on these companies to see all the numerous complaints. read more

Ctour Holiday Intended cheating on customers by listed interesting tour sites such as Yosemite National Park and Sequoia National Park to Lure customers in Booking the Tours; Then, on touring days, it cancelled the Main Interesting tours to the National Parks and Refused to Refund Money back to Passengers. On top of those Bad Practices, it Obligated passengers to Pay in Cash, so it could Avoid reporting as Income to Pay No Incoming Tax on Cash Collections. It also Overcharged each passenger with Huge $$ amount on Admission Fees when the Actual Costs were just Fractions of what it collected from passengers. On the tour day, the tour guide collected More Fees than it listed on Itinerary for No Reason. Tour guide Treated Handicap and Senor Citizens Unfair with No Respect. He ignored the request of Front Seats to the Handicap/Senor and saved those seats for Younger and Healthier Chinese passengers. We Recommend Tourists to Book Tours with Lion Tour, and Avoiding Ctour Holiday which previously used name as SeaGull. Since SeaGull Had Many Bad Ratings for its Bad Practices; therefore, it changed to Ctour Holiday and it still Repeated its Bad Practices as before. We will File Small Claim Against Ctour Holiday to get the Admission Fees back when it cancelled the tour to Yosemite National Park, also the Overcharge Amounts on other tour sites. The 10 days tour ( July 2 to 12, 2018)was really fast paced! Encountered lots of long hours drive and minimal hours to destinations. The ct tour bus has comfort room but it was strictly prohibited for use. According to the tour guide, they had to maintain it and will be messy. They should think of option for the welfare of the travelers, isnt it? Yes, the bus would make stop after two hours. But the problem is since it was mostly long hours drive from time to time you have to drink in the bus. By the time you feel you need a restroom, you have to ENDURE until the next stop ! Very awful experience.they will not give consideration and even dont care how it cause you much much inconveniences. At least, they have to consider it not to make it too long to stop..at times it even exceed two hours before you can have restrooms!!!!!please give proper orientation too for travelers to observe proper disposal of trash in the bus. The bus should be clean in the evening from trash so that it is clean in the morning.tissues and other trash were inserted inside seats . Tour guides english were not clear and hard to understand. Re lunch buffet, sad experience is when we go to san francisco to take the cruise. The tour guide( Beau - very impatient tourguide)ask the group if anyone wants to order seafood.( quite expensive) and not convenient to have it in the cruise..and dont me mention that there are also somefastfood( burger chain rest.) nearby the port before taking the cruise. We were given very limited time to enter wax museum. That there was no time to buy something for lunch. Since the tour was established since year 2000 almost 18 years in operation and despite all the CRITICS, how come the management didnt take any actions on how to improve their services. Another bad experience, is the las vegas night tour charged for US35.00 The tour guide name was ROY. ( impolite guy).He lead us to go to hotel belagio, old town las vegas and venetian hotel. We thought we were to take a look inside that hotel. Only to found out that this guy ushered us to buy dinner at the foodcourtof venetian hotel..its really a waste of time. Instead we can go around the hotel and see the splendor inside it. Isnt it that he should rather bring us to a reasonable place to buy something for dinner. Then we took a loooong walk just to find where the bus is. He didnt make a good communication with the bus driver that not only he who go around to find the bus but damaged us to do the same thing!!! Without taking into consideration those seniors. Re hotel, since we were assigned at the second flr at red lion hotel. We have to carry the luggages to the second floor through STAIRS. I had my heart palpitation!!!! We travel to enjoy and relax yet the outcome was WORST. The tour guide( Stanley- unprofessional too)should make advance arrangement with the hotel to accomodate senior citizen for room check in!!Some seniors were accomodated at ground flr but only very few. Before reading this complaint, I just want to say I have never rated any services in my life. This trip had made me so upset, I can't just stand by and let potential customers be duped into one of these tours. This has to be the worst vacation experience of my life, I wish I can give it 0 stars. I had a 7-day tour in California with friends and family. I flew in from New York, a 6-hour flight. On the first day upon arrival at San Francisco Airport at 8 pm, we were forced to wait almost two hours for the driver arranged by CTour to take us to our hotel. We were already quite weary due to the long flight and on top of that, we now had to find our way back into the airport for dinner and a place to rest. We thought about ordering car service, but it was estimated to be around 200 dollars, which was out of our budget. This was not what I would have expected of my first night in California. When we were finally arrived at the hotel at around 11:30 pm, the tour guild immediately demanded payment of tips and services for the next few days. We were astounded that even after such poor transportation arrangements, we would at least be allowed to go to our rooms and put our items of luggage away. We had to argue with him to give us our hotel key cards, which we have already paid for before the trip began. At this point, we were just extremely frustrated with the service provided and the last thing we wanted to think about was paying tips and other service charges that we did not know of beforehand. Keep in mind, we each already pay 600 dollars for the tour. In the end, we settled on one person staying to discuss payment, while the rest of the group went to our rooms. To add to this, we were told our next day departure time was at 6:30 am which meant we did not get a good night's rest. All in all, this was the worst way to start a vacation. The first day of activities went well, but on the second day, we found out our tour bus lacked adequate A/C for temperatures traveling from San Francisco to Los Angeles. It was around 100 degrees on the road there, and the A/C was blowing out warm air. Everyone was sweating profusely and complained to the tour guide and bus driver. There were children and elderly people on the bus, I was most worried about them, and thankfully no medical attention was needed. The bus was so hot that people were in disbelief that the A/C was actually turned on. People kept telling the bus driver to turn on the A/C, but he insisted it was on and blamed it on the heat outside. As a last resort, people started putting up umbrellas and towels against windows to block out the sun. At our next rest stop, we got off the bus and it felt like we stepped out of an oven. There were two other CTour buses going from San Francisco to Los Angelos, we ask the passengers how was the condition on the bus, and they said it was fine. At this point, we were beyond pissed, we demanded the tour guide to get another bus for us. He agreed and upon arrival at Los Angelos, we switched over to another bus and the difference was night and day. This will be the last thing I will include in this complaint because I feel all these events are enough to show why you should NOT go on a tour with CTour. On our 5th and 6th day, we were supposed to stay two nights in Vegas before heading to the Grand Canyon in the morning after the first night. This was scheduled and written on our trip itinerary. They did not follow the schedule and we did not stay two nights in Vegas. We were involuntarily brought to a Camp Hotel the first night and it was nowhere near Vegas. Due to this, we lost one of our nights in Vegas. When we realized we were moving further and further away from Vegas, we kindly asked the tour guide where the bus was heading. He ignored us and pretended he did not hear us. When we finally arrived at the destination, we confronted the man. He proceeded to loudly tell us, this is an upgrade and if you don't like it, you can sleep on the bus. Then, he told the bus driver to turn off the bus and A/C. We were really irate at this point and we told him that this was not on the itinerary. He did not show one ounce of care and walked off the bus and leaving us on the bus. Due to no cellphone signal in this desolate area, we had to borrow a phone from the camp's administration office in order to make a call to the local police. I would have given 0 star to this ripped off ground tour company which claimed themselves as the biggest ground tour company in US West Coast. We were put into this ground tour for our family holidays just last week. I have encountered issues almost every single day while I was in the States. We have joined the 7days San Francisco - San Diego and Las Vegas tour; and I have paid extra to upgrade for better hotels as my parents are in their 70s. We did not received our final confirmation until the first night we arrived in San Francisco. OBVIOUSLY, all hotels that was listed in the pre-final confirmations are never really on the final list. We were brought into a 2 stars rated hotel on the first night, no one really meet us up until that night itself at 9pm when the tour guide finally surface and call us to meet him at the lobby. He then passed us the final confirmation and asked us to pay for optional package for SFO city tour (which was supposed to be included in the final confirmation). When I asked the tour guide, what does the tour package includes, and he just said if I don't join the optional tour, my tour is kinda ended?! and apparently EVERYONE are joining. Basically, everything with this company are OPTIONAL. So we kinda forced to pay an additional US$35 (SFO tour) + US$42 (Ferry) + US$45 (Berkeley Uni parking fees - mandatory). So 1st and 2nd days, basically nothing really included and everything are optional (not to mention, they only drive passed SFO China Town and Castro Street). Summary, 1st day - poor quality hotel, no activities Summary, 2nd day - need to pay for everything, total not more than 4.5 hours stops for photos, the rest of our time are just on the bus, the tour guide did not talk much, English level is extremely poor, and couldn't hear him even when he speaks in mandarin Summary, 3rd day - Yosemite National Park - we only spent 2 hours max for this day, the rest of our time are just on the bus Summary 4th day - San Diego - the tour guide is not friendly and a bit rude but good side about him was that he explained the historical background of San Diego and stories telling skills are great (credit to him); however, he is not a responsible tour guide, he never really guided or lead us, just tell us on the bus where to go and meet back at the spot at whatever time. He even rushed off the bus before sending everyone on the bus back to the hotel. The bus driver was rushing and speeding when he was sending us back to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel that night itself, the hotel was blackout! No one really helped us and the rest of the ppl were trying to be in touch with the tour guide but he did not answer his calls. The bus driver is extremely RUDE and not even offer to help! The most ridiculous staff ever Summary 5th day - San Francisco to Las Vegas. To be honest, this is just a day of bus ride and you will need to pay $35 for an optional night tour. So if you refuse to pay, you will just stuck in your hotel Summary 6th day - Las Vegas to Grand Canyon, we do not even have enough time for photos. They only drive us there, stop for 3 hours in total including queue time etc, and we did not even finish all the spots in Grand Canyon itself after paying that much money. Another old couples was rushing for bus and felt down. And, we got sent back to the hotel around 3pm!! On that night itself, you will have to again pay for shows and other activities out of pocket Summary 7th day - we did not join the tour back to LA Out of the above highlights, my conclusions for this ground tour is an absolute ripped off! I've got promised that I will at least be put on a 4-4.5 stars rated hotel on my stay in Las Vegas but I was put on 3 stars rated and it's no where near the Strips! Oh, not to mentioned, they will need everyone to tipped US$9 per person (even we are not joining them on the last day, they wanted us to pay for that!) If this is the service that I am getting, I would rather arrange everything myself and it will saved us heaps more money and be happier! Just got back from Lake Tahoe Tour (3-day tour) from Los Angeles. CTour Holiday is a SCAM!!! STAY AWAY. Price advertised for Lake Tahoe boat cruise was $49 however we were charged $65 per head. I noticed that several people have complained about the same issue on Yelp in the past. THESE SCAMMERS MUST BE STOPPED. The Better Business Bureau needs to shut down this jacked up company. Stop taking advantage of hard working individuals!!! THIS IS FRAUD. They had three buses at Lake Tahoe on Sunday, with over 150 passengers. CTour received a huge discount from Ms Dixie (Cruise Company) however they still cranked up the price and robbed us of $15 00 per person. The IRS should also be made aware of such practice. They collect $10.00 fee per head even for toddlers. They don't even clean the buses. Tips should be earned, not imposed on people. The bus driver was horrible. Drove very carelessly, fast and always breaking hard. He almost killed us yesterday when we arrived at Red Canyon. He missed the entrance and was trying to make a U-turn in front of moving cars. Passengers were screaming out of their lungs. This happened on Bus # 268. This is America. There are rules and regulations that must be followed. STOP STEALING FROM PEOPLE AND STOP PUTTING OUR LIVES IN DANGER. WE PASSENGERS OF BUS # 268 DEMAND A $15.00 REFUND PER HEAD FOR THE MS. DIXIE LAKE TAHOE BOAT CRUISE!!! In addition, the Clarion Inn hotel we stayed in on our first night was disgusting. It was run down and the room had a foul smell. Furnitures were scrapped off and the bathroom toilet seat paint was off and there were molds in the shower. Second night, families with small children were separated at Harrah's Hotel. Although we booked for double beds, but on our way to the hotel, the guide told us that the hotel ran out of double beds and that each person would get a king bed room. We joined the AG (antelope grand canyon) tour fm san jose. Got sold on staying at park mgm in Vegas. Our tour guide Leslie Lee is very experience,knowledgeable. Great partnership with our driver mr. Cheung. Leslie herd us to b on time, so we can arrived at sites without wasting time in line up with other tour groups etc. He explained in details in advance in both English n Mandarin before we arrived at sites, costing was made clear to us, no $ surprises. He even explained etiquette, cultural rules n local regulations for our Mandarin speaking members. He did a great job n contribute the extra stars. We enjoyed the lower canyon walk the most. They lost one star on the logistic between the different c tour guides n with the travel agents, especially when changing vehicles. On the return journey, u have to make a few transfers to san jose. U need to b proactive n ask the driver where is ur next ride. we were dropped at ranch 99 n had to "look" for our next ride to san jose. Suggest they get driver to pass on transfer connection info to clients before herding us off the bus. read more
