We are in the current process of building our dream home and had a lot of different bids but CTX has been nothing short of amazing. All of the staff we have met has been friendly, knowledgeable and very clean work most of all! While in the early stages of the build I had decided I wanted to get a back up generator living out in the country. My wife and I thought it would cost us a fortune and have to go hunting. Did a good job of coordinating a two-fer plumbing plus electrical job and getting city permits. Moved a laundry washer box and electrical outlets and then replaced the main electrical panel, added whole house surge protector and car charge outlet. I needed to have my tankless water heater descaled. My home inspector suggested I get the descaling done once a year to prolong the life of my water heater. I knew from my other plumber that not all plumbers work on tankless water heaters. My other plumber told me he didn't work on tankless, so I knew I had to find a new plumber. I had been paying attention on NextDoor to who neighbors recommended and also through a ladies group who people recommended for plumbing emergencies. I sent 7 Yelp requests and only 4 plumbers responded. Of the 4 respondents, only 2 actually work on tankless water heaters. I went with CTX Plumbing & Electrical because they could do the service that day, they had the best price, I had seen 4 neighbors and had 3 friends recommend CTX service and they are a local service (#ShopLocal). Jeremiah and his apprentice (can't remember his name) called before they came, were on time, and got to work immediately. They explained what they would do and were efficient, professional, clean, friendly and knowledgeable. Before they left, they asked if I had any other plumbing needs they could help with. We have used CTX for over 18 months and for multiple offices that we manage. They always were timely, fixed the problem (both plumbing and electrical) and we had no problems. They are somewhat expensive, but we could count on them and that is important. This last time we had an issue with a commercial toilet that was apparently overflowing enough to splash water on the floor. We called them out and I got a message they were on their way. Over an hour later, I called to ask where they were and I was told he was on site, but the person he talked to didn't know anything. They went to the wrong suite, which in itself wouldn't be a big deal because we have multiple offices and he simply went to the wrong office in the same building. The first problem is that no one called me to confirm if he was in the right place. I only found out when I called them after more than an hour had passed. The second, bigger, problem was that he couldn't find anything wrong. He flushed the toilet, it did nothing problematic. Then he checked our other toilets and the one next door and said he could find anything wrong and left. I got a bill for $472.00 because they billed a dispatch fee ($80) and 1.5 hours of work. When I complained because that guy was not on site for more than about 30 minutes, they lowered it to 1 hour which was still over $300. I did them that one of our employees discovered that the problem occurred if you flushed it twice in a row and she demonstrated it for us (this was the next morning). I emailed them and explained the problem and told them that due to their billing policies, I wouldn't be using them anymore and their response was NOT to offer a discount to come back but to say "Thank you! It was a pleasure doing business with you.Have a wonderful day!" I have never balked at any of their bills and have always been happy with their service, but that's over. It feel like their new policy is to bill outrageously and not attempt to help fix a problem, which is unfortunate. read more

Positive: quick. I called when our water main was shut off as a result of a PVC fitting breaking in the irrigation system. Being new to the area, I called several plumbers and CTX answered and agreed to come out that day. They arrived earlier than the timeframe expected, and the job took them 30 minutes or less to complete. Negative: I received several return calls from plumbers who could have showed up later, but I waved them off as CTX answered first. When they arrived and looked at the damage, the price tag was $350. After continuing to receive plumbing calls, it sounds like this was significantly more than I would have payed had I waited a bit and asked about prices (in fact I send a photo of the broken fitting to one of the return calls and the rate was going to be significantly cheaper - although to be fair, that is easy to say after the fact). Bottom line, very quick and courteous/friendly service, but the price was more than I should have paid. When I first heard the number, I was a bit shocked, but agreed to pay since they showed up. I will likely shop around a bit more (or exercise some patience) next time. To be fair, I'll attempt to upload a photo of the before/after work in case I am way off base. read more

Once my foundation was re-leveled, a hydrostatic test was done to check outflow and inflow of water. It was found that I had a leak under my house and based on a recommendation received from my regular plumber who does not work under houses I called CTX Plumbing for help. They sent a couple Plumbers to check it and send a camera through the main pipes and found that I indeed had a crack and leak in the sewer line. CTX then gave me a competitive price for the work needed and sent two more plumbers to go under the house and make the repair once a tunnel was dug to get to the leak CTX sent another couple plumbers to the house today who did a great job of repairing the sewer line leak and while they were doing that found a second cracked pipe under my master tub. They went to work repairing that leak and solved the problem quite well. In all, they were here for about 5 hours. The plumbers that did the work were conscientious, polite, professional, and took great care not to drag mud through the house. I am very happy with the work CTX and their crews did to solve my plumbing problems and would recommend them to anyone. read more

When I called this company, they were the most friendly and most helpful of any that I called. I was looking around for help with the water heater and found some real losers till I came upon CTX Plumbing. They were honest, quick, and very informative. I feel like I could really trust him with what I needed done and that's important for a gas water heater. I called these guys for a quote for a plumbing leak. They would not guve a quote over the phone. When they came to the house they quoted $950 before even knowing what the issue was. They just saw the house and property, and the price went up. I paid them to fix it. They came back 4 days later to finish the job, and found another leak they created. I had to pay them $550 to fix that as they were not convinced they created it until they dug it up. They fixed that one. After all this was said and done I get a $900 water bill. Of course they are not going to help with that. So overall this one water peak cost me $2400. I will never use this unethical company again for anything. read more

He assured me he would be out in a few hours. He came and replaced the heater himself so his techs could enjoy the weekend.
