After reading reviews, I knew my decision wasn't really about the price--I was planning to hire Top Tech anyway. What disappointed me was that the estimate appointment had to be canceled that day, and I was even more frustrated by the interaction with the lady on the phone. As a business owner myself, I believe in taking care of customers and honoring commitments. If I have to do the job myself, I do it--I don't cancel on clients who are depending on me. The phone conversation felt rushed, and it seemed like she was trying to get me off the phone as quickly as possible, which I found annoying. However, Zach came out later that same day for the estimate, and he completely changed my impression. He was professional, honest, hardworking, and got straight to the point. It was 92 degrees outside, and I genuinely felt for the guy working in that heat. He provided a fair estimate, scheduled the work for the next day at 1 PM, and then actually arrived two hours early. The quality of the work was outstanding--top-notch service. My brother is an electrical engineer, so I have a decent understanding of electrical work, but he lives far away. I still have a lot more projects to complete around my house, and I will definitely be calling Top Tech again. When I do, I'll be requesting Zach specifically. Highly recommended.

They don't use the info you put into the request, so you have to tell them everything all over again. After that, just hope you're the tech's first call of the day. Otherwise they won't show up until they finish their previous jobs, if they show up at all.

I met Charlie and he asked for a favor if I could purchase the TV's and the Sonos from him as he can match the prices I received and it would help him with his sales. I obliged but to only find out that after purchasing them, the pricing on the tv's went down a couple weeks later (at this point they were all at his location and not installed). He gave me an attitude and said once they are purchased he couldn't match the price and I proceeded to tell him I would return them and buy them somewhere else. Finally he said he could do it. Charlie gave me a price "not to exceed a certain amount of money to install the tvs and several Sonos systems". He arrived the first day, installed the large 100" and then he left for another appointment and had his helper install the rest of the tvs upstairs . Two days later, he came back and installed the other 2 large tvs and hooked up only 2 Sonos systems. He quoted me 245/hr for 2 men. He still charged me when he left early the first day, on his Invoice he said he was here a certain day and worked 8 hours (he didn't) and that particular day my hardwood floors were being refinished and there was nobody allowed in the house. With the miscalculeted hours, the numerous cigarette breaks he took in front of my house, I learned that this guy is not about customer service, he is about getting in and getting as much money as he can from the customer and not even finishing his work. I have wires hanging down from the tvs, tvs that are not level and 2 of the tvs that have apple boxes that were suppose to be installed behind the tvs are actually hanging over the tvs at this very moment. I contacted Charlie a week ago after his shoddy work and fabricated hours for the warranty cards, the manuals for the items I purchased. Between the Sonos and the TVS alone I spent over 25K and 2 days of labor was 3400.00, so almost 30K was spent and I have not heard from Charlie since this request. Don't be fooled by this con-artist and the reviews he has on here, if anyone wants to see the pictures, the receipts of the Invoices, the emails sent to him, please reach out. I want everyone to be aware that this guy is not who he says he is. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

Wayne, Josh, Joey W. and Sara with Legacy Plumbing changed our nightmare into a dream come true. We bought our 93-year-old house in Denton two years ago knowing that it had some neglect issues, but we had no idea how bad the plumbing was. The water heater had been replaced in 2019. I'm not a plumber, but I could see it did not look right. I called three local plumbers. Two actually showed up. They were in my house for about five minutes, did not even bother to look in the crawl space to see the condition or location of the water lines, gas lines and drain lines. Not even a ball park quote was offered, just a lot head shaking, eye rolling, comments of "That's a lot of work!" and "it's a complicated job", "expensive proprietary parts", and they "Had to run the water pipes through the attic and down the walls". After a few days I called the first guy to find out if he had an estimate yet. He gave the quote over the phone. The second guy sent me an email several days later. The prices these guys quoted were too high for us to start, but the lack of professionalism, and follow up was the deal breaker for me. What some people try to pass of as "professional" standards today is shocking at best and deadly at worst. About a week later I remembered calling Legacy Plumbing for some advice before we moved to Denton. I was very surprised, as promised, I got a return call after working hours from one of their technicians. Amazing attitude, cheerful, patient and professional. I called them the next day. Talking with Sara, it became clear, this was going to be a more pleasant experience than the last two. She was very patient and listened. She decided the boss, Theron, should be consulted. Theron called me later the same day. Wayne and Joey W. arrived promptly. They were patient, very professional, had positive attitudes, always respectful and were very thorough in assessing the issues. It was obvious Wayne had been doing this for decades. As Wayne assessed the situation in the house Joey took notes. Joey went into the crawl space to recon the gas, water, drain and sewer lines. He took photos of everything he found. The drain lines from the water heater dumped right under the floor and there was a six-foot open crack in the top of the cast iron sewer pipe under the gas stove in the kitchen. Only after they had all laid eyes on all the parts of the system, (Not just what was above ground) did Wayne form an action plan and prepared an estimate for the work. He explained what needed to be done, how it would be accomplished and the timeline. He said the work was not as nearly as intense, complicated, or requiring expensive proprietary parts as I had been told. He told me he would not even consider running the water lines through the attic in this house. The estimate was a fraction of what I had been given by the other two guys. Then it hit me. This wasn't just about money or a paycheck. He has the heart of a first responder, someone that would do the right thing when no one is looking. Wanye - Journeyman, Josh - Apprentice, and Joey W. - Apprentice The first day Wayne and Josh arrived early looking like they were ready for a military inspection. Second day Wayne and Joey arrived early the same way. I'm that guy that wants to know how and why things work and learn new stuff. They didn't mind a bit. They worked non- stop the whole day even in the heat. They never cut single corner. They left the place cleaner than they found it. They even hauled out the six-foot section of the cast iron sewer pipe they replaced. My sister in-law had the same problem under her house and the plumbers just laughed when her husband wanted them to remove it. We have been customers of Legacy Plumbing for several years and they always exceed our expectations whenever our house needs plumbing repairs. Mike is our plumbing technician who is very talented at his trade, dedicated to his job and devoted to his customers. Whatever plumbing issue that we asked him to repair, he did it efficiently and flawlessly. Even after working hours, if our house has emergency plumbing issue, we would text/ message him and he would give us recommendations or advice of what to do to lessen the intensity of the problem until he could come to our house, within couple of days, to fix the problem. If he or Legacy Plumbing would not repair certain type of plumbing issue, he would let us know and give us recommendation on a company that would do that type of repair. We really appreciate his dedication and honesty. Recently, Mike and Brandon came to our house to fix my RO leak detector alarm. They fixed it with ease and perfection. Mike also brought for us some samples of Halo 5 saltless water filtration system that we've requested because Legacy Plumbing does install the Halo 5 saltless water filtration system. We appreciate that Mike has gone above and beyond by giving us some water samples to try and see if this type of water filtration system is suitable for our house needs. I am a "So-So" DIY person that likes to at least try to fix my home issues before calling the professionals. Now, more than ever it is important to keep your family safe from the spread of Covid 19 so I try to avoid unnecessary contact if I can. I called Legacy Plumbing to ask some questions about my issues and to let them know that If I couldn't fix it on my own, I would be calling back to have someone come out. The person at the office informed me that he would have a Plumber give me a call. I received a call from a gentlemen by the name of Theron. Theron was not just a Plumber but a "Master Plumber". Theron could have blown me off and said that he could not know for sure what my problem was unless he was there and could see it for himself (Typical rebuttal to customer - (Psychologically letting the customers know that, I'm not going to give you anything for Free Buddy) but Theron listened to my problem and gave me the correct solution to my plumbing issue. Now it is up to me to execute properly. Theron is an honest person and from what I can tell believes in treating his customers as well as potential customers with respect. We have used Legacy Plumbing several times over the last couple of months and we are so in awe over their workmanship. They take pride in what they do and their customer's satisfaction. They are a bit more expensive compared to having a handyman do the work but we are willing to pay it just for the peace of mind knowing that the job is done right. They have always been respectful, kind and courteous when in our home and have always gone above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with the job, when completed. They answered any and all questions that we had. We are on a fixed income and have made the mistake in the past cutting corners, wanting to save money but after all said and done, we should have gone with a licensed plumber. I have found Legacy Plumbing to be professional, well trained, courteous, conscientious and customer service oriented during the four years they have provided plumbing services for my home. Their plumbers are knowledgeable and willing to explain the plumbing issue in detail and provide options. One of the best aspects of working with Legacy is the plumbers providing the service may change and yet the excellent work and customer service is maintained. Thanks to Jordan and Logan, we had ANOTHER great experience using Legacy Plumbing! We were experiencing a leak underneath our kitchen sink, which was due to some inadequate work done by our builder. As a result, new water valves and a new faucet needed to be replaced and repairs made to the water line connections. We have used Legacy Plumbing for at least ten years at this home and our previous home in Frisco. They have always accurately diagnosed our issues; given us a quote IN WRITING on the spot; and were able to do the repair on that visit. After encountering a plumbing issue, I looked to FB mom groups for plumbing company recommendations. Two separate ones kept popping up. I called both but Legacy Plumbing is the one who answered and got someone to my home immediately. Joey W, through the Frisco location, was very pleasant and communicative. He explained the issue and how he would fix it. I appreciated that he wore shoe covers and took them on and off when he entered and exited my home without me having to ask. We had our second slab leak in 3 years. I called Legacy plumbing as they did a great job fixing our first issue. Matthew and Brandon were professional and all business from the moment they arrived. They limited the areas they had to access in the walls and did a great job rerouting hot water to the back of the house. We waited until Canon could come to our home for a couple of toilet issues. Previously, he replaced one of our water heaters, and we found him to be experienced, reliable, and honest! Service requested : PRV replacement…read more I needed a pressure reduction valve replaced after my old one failed. I called GPS on Saturday evening, they were here as promised at 11:15 on Monday. The price quote ended up being a great value. The two guys that arrived were friendly and professional. Just nice guys. They got to work right away, and were done in about an hour. Included in the valve replacement cost, they excavated and replaced the old and inadequate builder-installed utility box with a much better one. They substantially elevated the water pipe junction to ensure it remains easy to access in the future, installed an additional water shut-off valve, and added pea gravel for drainage. I couldn't be happier, and I recommend them enthusiastically.

While we didn't end up using their services, that was only bc they were so kind & helped over the phone, gently prompting our non-mechanically inclined brains to help ourselves. Couple of things to note: 1) rather than being a disinterested automaton, adding us to a queue & charging us a service fee to come fix something that took 20 seconds, she talked to us & now we have a learned skill. 2) the person answering the phone is knowledgeable enough to problem solve & walk you through a basic problem they've received more than their share of panicked calls from clueless home owners about & then she guides you to try to fix it...that indicates to me a company that employs & promotes people with ethics, knowledge & goodness. They will certainly come out to help you, whichever you prefer.
