They sent a technician out to work on a clogged kitchen sink. He showed up on time and was courteous etc, however, it was 430 dollars for about 15 mins work. Since my home is 25+ years old, I asked him to check all sink drain plumbing etc. to make sure I would be in good shape after he fixed the clog. I had looked under there before hand and the drain assembly looked kind of loose to me. He said there were no leaks and gave me the impression everything was ok. He said there was a build up of grease and while he routed out the drain etc. that I should run some degreaser/drain cleaner to further clear it out overnight. I did this and the next morning my sink drain was completely unattached. Now it is Saturday, I cannot get ahold of them, and I have a completely broken sink...not just slow draining, so worse off than before. I am a reasonable person, and I realize this may have not be installed correctly in the first place and/or worn out over time. Also, the drain cleaner played a part but it was on his recommendation that I do it. Since I paid what I feel is a pretty steep price for a plumber to come here and evaluate/fix the drain I feel like they came up short on their service. I will not be using them again. read more

I don't like to speak poorly of local or veteran owned companies. I come from a military family and respect/love the values instilled by it. I had an issue with a leaky toilet and had the team at Smith and Sons come out the same day! Prompt in service and repaired the leak. Within 3 days it was leaking again in the guest bathroom that was only used by the maid to clean the toilet. The toilet leaked and went through my ceiling and onto my dining table. I called Smith and Sons and they came back out. They said that sometimes lift a toilet out and putting it in can cause other areas to leak. The owner was supposed to call me multiple times to repair or speak about it and I could never contact him. I tried multiple ways to end. I would not recommend this company. Oh my gosh! My garbage disposal stopped working and after using several drain cleaners/uncloggers I feared the worst and called Smith and Son Plumbing. They gave me a same-day appointment! Chris and Gage came in and they were the sweetest guys in the world. They figured out that a tiny plastic stick had gotten stuck just right so that the blades in my disposal couldn't turn (I blame my cats). Anyway, it didn't even take 30 minutes for them to get it out. He even gave me a spare wrench in case it happened again and showed me how to use it. I had what appeared to be a slab leak in the utility room of a rental property. Smith and Son Plumbing offered to assess it for free. A competitor of theirs wanted to charge around $250 just to take a look. Chris came out the morning after I called and was able to let me know that it may not be a slab leak after all. I offered to pay them for a house call but both Chris and John at the office told me their assessments are at no charge. One more thing to note. Chris said if I wanted, he could do a system pressure check for me and that it would cost $150 because they were having a sale on the procedure. (it is normally $250). Way this company treated me was far better than any other plumbing company I've dealt with in the past. I'll be sure to contact them again if I have any plumbing issues. read more
