Why is it that Cub doesn't seem to coach their employees in customer service. Rarely a hello or thank you. Today at 4:45pm I went through checkout #1. The young man didn't even acknowledge me or any of the customers coming through his lane. I made a point of extending a LOUD thank you. Still no reaction. Not even eye contact. Cub would serve themselves well by asking all their employees to spend an hour shopping at HyVee and paying attention to employee/customer interactions. They do customer relations well! I think I'll just shop at HyVee from now on. They seem to appreciate the business. read more

This is the worst grocery store I have been too. Went to buy Coke Zero and the tag said $4.88. Went to pay and the register stated $8.99. I asked the worker and all she did was hold up 4 fingers. We asked if we have to buy 4 12pkd and she nodded her head yes. Terrible pricing tags and customer service. I would not recommend this store and the people of st Anthony need to fight city council to stop the monopoly of Cub/UNFI and bring competition to the village. Jerry's will not be any better. A somewhat bigger store than those in Roseville, but oddly I could not find a lot of items I could obtain at the smaller stores. I traveled northbound for this Cub because of state fair traffic on Larpenter, and I currently won't go to the Quarry Cub because of the druggies in the parking lot and store. There are many acres of parking since the store is located in a service mall. Plenty of check out lanes, mostly closed so that people will be encouraged to used the self-serve lanes. I still was able to check out quickly with no attitude. read more

DO NOT EVER USE Cub Pharmacy on Silver Lake Rd, St. Anthony! They are horrible! They discriminate, retaliate and withhold medication from patients, even though several Dr's called this pharmacy directly. The Pharmacy manager is the worst human I have ever encountered, and the clerk that works there is not far behind, with disclosing customers personal health information for all other customers to hear!!! It's always busy and usually just two cashier's and self checkout. Always long lines. Not enough employees, probably due to the unlivable wages/slave wages. The order to where things are located has no rhyme or reason. No one, not even managers have access to fix anything that is ringing up wrong, and usually, no one cares and no one wants to help anyways. Except for two very nice ladies that work the cash registers, they make it tolerable to shop and wait those lines out. Oh and let's not forget how the prices are very high! Even higher than New Brighton Cub for the same items, on the same day, same retailer! Yes, I go to both in one day cuz often my Cub doesn't carry a few things that St. Anthony Cub does carry, so I go to both often. The deli foods have a better selection here than at New Brighton, but New Brighton has better management and very kind employees and it's not always packed like St. Anthony is. Honestly, I'd rather not shop at Cub at all because of the high prices, and since we now have Hy-Vee real close, I may make the switch soon if I notice better prices and better selection. I already know that management can handle anything you throw there way at Hy-Vee and the cashier's there are bright bulbs too, so they're already winning in that dept. read more

Why I shop at Cub in St Anthony. My wife was making a special Brussel sprout dish & I went to pick some up, but I couldn't locate them. I asked Alexa who was working across the aisle & she said "we might be out," she was right 3 very small brussel sprouts was all they had, seeing me look in vain she said "I will see if we have any in the back." A minute later Alexa comes out with a small iced tub of brussel sprouts. Happy wife happy life!! Alexa defines what customer service is all about. If her manager sees this I hope she gets a raise & a promotion for going way above & beyond. Her instincts are what the "my Cub." Tag line personifies, what separates Cub from other grocers, & why I shop at my St. Anthony Cub. Thank you Alexa & my wife's brussel sprout dish was a smash hit!! read more

Never shopping at Cub Foods again. It's overpriced but I went here because it's close to my house. I bought some beef and when I went to cook it the same day, it was spoiled and smelled horrible. I also bought a package of strawberries and found a worm crawling in them after eating half the package. This isn't the first time my money has gone to waste at Cub and my experience today has solidified my decision to shop at a different grocery store. read more

Literally waited at the meat counter for 12 minutes. Rang the bell, called the store, nothing! Then Tom walks out and says, "I don't hurry for anyone when I'm on break!" Huh? Did he really say that to a customer?! I said something to check him, then I think he realized he should've probably not said that. I honestly cant believe the customer service these days and what workers get away with. Tom literally acted like he was doing me a favor to do his job - the job he gets paid to do. And shame on Cub for not having someone cover the counter when another is on break. That, on top of them being out of stuff all the time, and things ringing up wrong has made me go to other locations. read more

I would only give the one star because occasionally someone here sucks less than the rest of them. Since Steve retired, thus pharmacy has consistently been late with, lost or somehow messed up my family's prescriptions. Their staff is slow, cranky and constantly understaffed and under knowledgeable about what should be their job. I would recommend ANYWHERE else but here. read more

Over the last 18 months this Cub has just tanked in all departments. Mostly the produce and meat departments. The produce all last summer was rotten and full of fruit flies. The potatoes are always stacked nice and high in the bags so they also rot and get fruit flies. A few weeks back we got chicken that reeked so bad of rot when we got home and opened it, we had to take it back that night. We also got a cake in the bakery made over Easter weekend that was also rancid and spoiled. We have to return something at least weekly when we get home and find out it's spoiled. And NEVER ever an "I'm so sorry for this inconvenience" comes out of anyone's mouth at the return counter. If you ask for help in departments it's like a bunch of 7th graders are running the whole store. Things are never stocked in their proper places anymore and when you ask someone it's like you are a huge bother. Dairy is one of those and the deli is also full of clueless people. The cashiers are either glassy eyed or smart alecs and they used to have really sharp and good cashiers there. There are still a few of the old crew left from several years back who do a good job at customer service. The management there just has to be atrocious for these types of things to occur. We used to love this Cub, but it seems like even the other Cubs we go to instead of this terrible one are also becoming slack in their quality and service. I think they got full of themselves when they thought they were the only game in town with reasonable prices when Rainbow went belly up.....So they slacked and they slacked well and did not care! I would be ashamed of myself if I was a manager or assistant manager there. You can't sell people garbage and let the rot spread in the produce and meats. Cub is usually a very reliable place for a quick bite of something tasty or just to get groceries, but when I grabbed the semi-appetizing-looking banana cream pie I had no idea how bad it could be. When I dug into the pie I was surprised to learn it was actually a whipped cream pie with a sliver of banana cream at the bottom. It was overwhelmingly rich and it made me feel sad. It destroyed my appetite and no evaluating my culinary choices. For the love of all that is holy, do not eat this pie under any circumstances ever. read more
