We have been here a few times since their recent update/grand opening. The burgers have been soo good with the beer battered fries and their fry sauce. I'd recommend just that, but the waffles are to die for. The last few times I've gotten the Biscoff focused Founder's Fav waffle. The staff all have been patient, happy, considerate and swift. This a road stop joint on Rt6 with seating in and out. I love this location and set-up and if a few years younger would buy it and do it right, so much potential. I had the pastrami burger as I was looking for something better than Iceberg chain but was disappointed as Iceberg is better. The burger was tiny with thin overcooked piece of pastrami. Don't judge a book by its cover! At first glance, it doesn't look open and super easy to pass up BUT the food was so good! We ordered a Philly sandwich combo & a cheeseburger. At first glance, we were not sure if the place was open. The little acorn was very hit and miss with the food. Their burger was good and had a nice thick piece of bacon on it. The other people in my group did not like their food. This place is old and rundown. The table we sat at had at least seven flies, constantly bothering us, no matter what we did. Anytime I head up Spanish fork canyon, I make sure to stop here. The food is great and the so are the prices for he amount they give you. This is a small, but cozy diner that provides a lot of jobs for the local youth. It seems like every time I go in there, there are new faces. The staff is always great and so nice. I showed up and didn't have to wait. I was greeted by a pubescent ass who took my order. They did not have any of the food I wanted, and he got pissed at me because plan A, plan B, and plan C were out of stock and I didn't know what to order at this point. Another ass hat employee came to the cashier and began mocking me because I was taking long. I settled on some chicken tenders. Nine dollars for three. More expensive than canes. They brought it out quick. I bit into my tender and immediately was greeted with the flavor of crude oil. I look at my friend and he has the same face as a Vietnam medic. He had bitten his into cartilage or a tendon. I had the courage to continue eating mine, until I bit into a meniscus. I could not penetrate the meat, and it sprung back into shape like a rubber band. The same thing happened to my second friend. Three out of the three tenders were literally half tendon and not edible. I spent $4.50 on some ligaments. My friend got a whole meal and I don't even think they cooked the fries. They put a tomato on his chicken for some reason. We ended up throwing it all away. We spent a combined 23 dollars and lost it all. As we left, tweedle Dee and tweedle dumb were sitting on their phones while a family waited in line. I was sad because it was like watching a lamb to slaughter. I feel guilty for not warning them of the sludge they were going to consume. My two friends and I left literally feeling ill at the tiny amount we actually ate. We decided to go to McDonald's to cleanse our stomachs. Yes McDonald's is a better option. From the outside, the Little Acorn reminds me of the forts I used to build as a child. But when you get past the rough exterior, you'll find amazing food! We drove through this weekend and got to experience what the locals eat-and I'm sure glad we did. The fries are phenomenal-seasoned to perfection, cooked up just right and served fresh. Of course, they are accompanied by Utah's famous fry sauce (mayo and ketchup mixture) which just makes them that much more endearing. The burgers were also fantastic-just right in all aspects. Service was friendly too. It started off a little shaky when the person taking our order asked us to repeat everything. But the extra time to repeat it all paid off-they did get it right. And everything was ready fairly quickly. We will be passing through this part of town a bit this summer, and we plan to make the Little Acorn a regular stop! read more

The greatest little place for some lunch on our way up to go fishing. We had a grilled ham and cheese and a turkey Swiss sandwich. The kids got an Oreo shake sorry didn't take pictures of it. My fiancé has fond memories of coming here with his grandpa and it was sweet to hear him share the stories while we waited for our food. It's nice to see a local business sustain the test of time. A little off the beaten path, and a gem of a find! My family (even the 5 and 18mo old) love the sea burger! Their fries are delicious and seasoned well, and their onion rings are the perfect mix of crisp batter dipped outside and sweet tender (not soggy) onion inside! They have a delicious hamburger! Came here to meet with a friend snd their family and had the oddest meal experience ever! The place looks grungy and not in a good way. The person we interacted with was extremely peculiar and seemed like he was calculating every request for more napkins or an additional to go brown paper bag (I didn't even know that was a thing). I also noticed that the older women with sitting atop a food bucket in the back just sitting there which I found a little peculiar. It's debatably 3 to 4 star food, but I couldn't forgive myself if I gave it under 4. Little Acorn is a family tradition. I don't know why, but it started at the now gone Pleasant Grove location. We stumbled upon it and were amazed that they offered Chinese and American food, along with a fish tank and great fry sauce. Then one day the PG one turned into a Pho restaurant that surprisingly offered the Little Acorn menu as well. Unfortunately they dropped the Little Acorn menu and now only do Pho. Enough about the PG location though, this one is now the only place you will find the Shadow Fighter. A burger on home made bread with ham as well. The burger meat is good, a step above any other fast food place, and the price is reasonable. $6.99 gets you a Shadow Fighter, drink and fries. The fries are better than your average fast food as well, and the fry sauce is excellent. They have other great food on the menu as well, bacon cheese burgers, chicken tenders, fish? (I'm too scared to eat fish at a fast food place in Utah), english chips, and more. I've had several different things here over the years and never been let down. The atmosphere is phenomenal. I don't think they've changed the interior since the 70's. You get a fish tank, odd paintings of rabbits on the wood paneling, painting of what appear to be old England streets, and all sorts of other kinds of odd decor. They've got a drive thru and ample outdoor seating as well. We stop by here just about any time we are on our way to visit my girlfriends family down in Manti and won't be stopping anytime soon. It's the perfect place to stop by on the way into and out of the canyon. Little Acorn is awesome, and will hopefully stay here for a long, long time. I'm happy that I stumbled on it after mourning the close of the PG one. Life just wouldn't be the same without the Shadow Fighter. read more

We use to stop here as kids many moons ago when we use to drive through Spanish Fork. I stopped by a few days ago for a quick bite and to relive some old memories. Sadly the burger and fries I ordered were pretty bland. All frozen stuff, nothing special. The decor still seems to be the same from 25 years ago. Then I was told there was a $0.35 charge for a cup of water I requested for my sit down $8 burger and no bathrooms available! We had to go to SLC and stopped on the way back to CO. The food is great, onion rings are crispy, not greased logged, thoroughly enjoyed the shakes. Portions, well let's just say we had plenty to snack on for the trip home. Friendly customer service, which is a nice change from the chain based fast food restaurants we are subjected to in our area. We absolutely look forward to going again. Note: As many people have referenced, the appearance is a bit unkept, but since it's a drive-thru, one doesn't have to look at the exterior for long. Maybe try and focus more on the fact, what they don't have in aesthetic appeal, they more than make up in quality and customer care and that it's an independently owned small business, that's been fortunate to remain open during these less than friendly economic times. Made a quick visit for shakes and didn't try the food. The sandwiches and burgers others ordered looked and smelled great so I'm going to bump my rating a bit assuming it's all really that good. The "famous" fruit shakes were just okay. The ice cream was fantastic, creamy and decadent, but my peach shake tasted very little like peaches and I found exactly 1/2 frozen or canned (I couldn't tell which) peach in it. I kind of had to use my imagination for the peach part, to be honest. My husband felt similarly about his banana shake. The place feels kind of like a So Cal taqueria meets a Texas flea market, and is in need of deep cleaning. Despite this it does have a certain charm. The Piccadilly's and fries are delish and the fry sauce is heavier on the mayo/miracle whip side than the ketchup side but I like it a lot. Solid 4 Star lunch. I work nearby and have been meaning to drop on to check out Little Acorn. They didn't disappoint. Quick in and out, freshly cooked cheeseburger on whole wheat with pastrami, a side of fries and fry sauce. Food was great for a quick lunch, fresh and filling, the fry sauce was excellent. The only thing I would ding them on is including the tip on the initial card swipe. If you deserve a tip, I'll give you one, but I don't need to be forced into giving you one when I thought I was swiping my card for $2 less.
