This has quickly become a weekly stop for me and my family. We always get our food in a timely manner, if there is ever and issue they quickly fix it for us without question. Whenever someone comes into town to visit us we take them here right away. The tri tip steak salad is wonderful. Always fresh lettuce, great amount of dressing and they are happy to throw on a side of dressing if you ask. My husband and I typically share the salad and a sandwich and they will even separate them both for you. I have tried most of the kids meal items for my daughter and she always seems so happy with her fruit cup and crayons. I recently used the curbside pick up and they were very fast and I was able to stay in my car the whole time. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have gone to the Cubby's in Lehi several times and now to the Cubby's in SoJo three times. I have to say, the one in Lehi is far better then the one in SoJo. Sadly, the one in SoJo is 5 minutes from my house. First, the restaurant is some what clean, but could use a little more attention when cleaning the tables. I love the menu. There are some really cool options, and I love that they still keep it local. The prices, as mentioned on other reviews, are a little high for what you get, but I will pay more for local. The food is tasty and has several cool mixes, I really like the buffalo fries. Yummy. The burgers are good and they usually cooked well. Now, here is the biggest issues. The service is extremely inconsistent. There are several employees that seems like they love to be at work and are working with a smile. Then there are those that seems like they have been sentenced hard labor and would rather be anywhere else. I truly feel that this is where this place falls short and could be so much better. While it's not the best, I do plan to return for the food. I do hope they can figure out how to make the service better because this place has a ton of potential. read more

Burgers are always fresh and perfectly assembled! The rosemary fries are the perfect side! Nice and crispy!

We have enjoyed Cubby's food for a while, and only wish that they had a little better system for seating and for getting your food out. Where it is so popular, be prepared to wait 20-30 min to get your order taken, and then finding a place to sit is quite difficult. However, all of that is very worth it, as they serve amazing food. it has always come out tasting great, and we have never once been dissatisfied with the taste or preparation. We decided to give this place a try for breakfast. It was absolutely fantastic with only one tiny complaint. I personally got the huevos rancheros and was happy. Wife and kid shared the combo that came with avocado toast (to die for) bacon and eggs. We each got coffee but found out after that they do not have creamer of any kind. That includes milk, half and half and more. Kinda weird for somewhere that offers breakfast. We will definitely be back for breakfast and most likely lunch/dinner too. Burger wasn't as great as they made it out to be. The fries are excellent and so was their chocolate cookies with a cream filling. My favorite item was the pastaless salad. It had avocado, tomatoes, cheese, and cucumbers and was so delicious. I had to order a to-go to take with me for my next meal. read more

Update: after the management reached out to me I agreed to go back. I ordered the same thing as before, their tri-tip sandwich. This time it did not taste frozen and was warm all the way through. Flavor was good and enjoyable. Although quiet a few of the sweet potato fries were burnt the ones that weren't were good with a nice crisp exterior and soft interior. I did not stay to eat, and as I sat there waiting for my order which was not a bad wait. I was disturbed by watching the staff pull fries from the fryer basket and eat them while working my orders as I was the only one waiting for food. The kitchen is open and you can see what staff does. Positive the staff that was eating from the fryer wasn't handling my food. Overall gave an increase in my rating as food was improved but with staff willing to disregard simple kitchen rules I have a hard time increasing the rating anymore. Overpriced and under delivered. My husband ordered The Houdini and devoured in mins, he said the meat was flavorful and juicy. If you like soup I would suggest the chicken poblano it reminded me of a chicken enchilada with avocado, it was full of flavor and spicy. The place here was semi clean. The food was great but when we got our order we were missing two of our meals. My husband had to go and ask for the two missing meals. By the time we recive the meal my kids were not hungry anymore. one of the two meals was wrong and the server did not seem to care to fix the meal. After having to tell her that I ordered a certain way because I know my child will eat it. She took it back to have it fixed, by the time we revived it my daughter was full off my fries I shared with her. read more

Update: I found out they use soybean oil when I asked. I'd assume for most things. It is so disappointing when a place touts themselves as a healthy place with gluten free, organic options and then make dressings and fry in soy. I still love my salads and gluten free options for my kids (thank goodness they aren't allergic to soy), but we will definitely be coming less I have been 4 or 5 times now. With kids and without. I love the gluten free options and they are tasty gf! I've had different salads, a burger, and loved them all. I love that they try to give gf options, quality meats, and all organic produce! Finally a place I can bring my kids without feeling like I'm filling full of unhealthy foods. I love having this option so close. I'm not going to say anything about the food other than to say I've never had anything bad at Cubby's. Today my wife ordered soup and the server spilled a bit when he brought it. A little bit spilled on my wife"s washable jacket. The server immediately apologized and said he would clean it up, but my wife had it all cleaned up with a few napkins before he got back. He realized this and said he would refund the soup. He said he would replace the soup since some spilled, but this wasn't necessary. I couldn't tell there was less soup in the bowl. So then my wife asked me to have them give her a shake instead. But they had already refunded the soup, so they gave her a shake in addition! Great food and great service. Cubby's takes fresh fast to a whole new level. They have a great menu full of both healthy and indulgent choices, so everyone is happy. This is one of the few places where a vegetarian and a carnivore can eat at the same table from the same menu and both be totally satisfied. Some of our favorites include the steak sandwich (get it spicy!), the kale and quinoa salad, the rosemary fries, any of their burgers. The only thing that hasn't wowed me are their desserts (shakes, homemade whoopie pies, etc.), but by the time I finish a meal at Cubby's, I rarely have room for dessert anyway. The best secret at Cubby's is their breakfast. They are open 8-11 AM, and it's rarely crowded despite offerings that are far superior to other breakfast places in the area. Their bacon is absolutely perfect, justifying the $1/piece price tag. The quinoa breakfast bowl is a fantastic healthy option, and the French toast is an amazing indulgence (it's costed in corn flakes for a yummy crunch), but you simply can't go wrong here. read more

Holy cow. (Pun!)! We came here for breakfast on a whim after moving to SLC from DC. My dear God WHY IS THERE NO CUBBIES IN DC??!! We got the avocado toast combo because my hubby and I are trying to be more health conscious out here. I WILL NEVER EAT ANYTHING ELSE FOR BREAKFAST. This was seriously the most delicious, perfectly cooked breakfast I have ever devoured. Perfect crisp and crunch to the bacon, without hurting my gums like most bacon does: thickest bread and piles of perfectly spread fresh avocado topped with light oil and cracked peppercorn. I don't even LIKE peppercorn but now that I've had cracked, I can never go back. I cannot recommend this meal enough. The good stuff: nice smile and hello from young woman cleaning the front door, great greeting from super friendly cashier (also a woman) quality ingredients used, environmentally friendly packaging and materials in use, and real ice cream shakes with real fruit (loads of strawberry chunks in my shake!). The bad: same girl at the front could easily have opened and held the door for me, but did not. Burger was completely well done and woefully under seasoned (needed salt). Rosemary fries seemed old and had zero Rosemary on them - just plain fries. Burger came out without the onions described on the menu. I wish to add that despite the issues with the burger, it was still really good. In fact, I'll go so far as to say if it had been cooked and seasoned properly, it would have been phenomenal. This has been one of our family's favorite restaurants for years because we can rely on a great meal. We love the fresh, organic food options. The food has stellar flavor. We especially love the Houdini and Sweet Potato fries. Their service has always been great. The restaurant has clean, organized layout and processes customers through at a reasonable pace. We were told over the phone for our order it would be 25 minutes. My wife has been sitting over 45 minutes waiting for the order. Workers should learn how to give realistic wait times. This was my first time trying Cubbys. I got the tri tip sandwich, rosemary fries and a drink. It cost me about 15 bucks. The food was great that is now one of my new favorite sandwiches. It was smoky and spicy just a whole lot of goodness. The fries were enough for two people so beware of that. I will definitely be going back to try some other things. I went there around 1 and it seemed to be stay at home mom lunch hour. Which is fine I have no problem with that. So if you're ok with kids screaming, running around and standing at your table staring at you while eat and mom's not paying attention to their spawn . If you need a place to take the kids, this place is ALSO for you. It's a counter-order and sit down sort of place, with self-serve drinks, utensils, napkins, and fry sauces. It's noisy enough to mask your children going nuts. However, most surprising to me is that this place also has terrific salads. I am not the type of girl who eats kale all the time, but this is one place where I come to eat kale. In fact, I am frequently more tempted by their salad options than their burgers and sandwiches, which I feel are frequently just call bunch of meat between two pieces of bread. I love Cubbys! Cubbys is a 5 but this location is a 2. I have been going once or twice a week ever since it opened. I would 100% consider myself a VERY loyal customer. However, I'm so disappointed with this location. I get the wild rice and kale salad every time. It's an $12 salad, and they have gotten so stingy on their salads now. I won't be returning to this location anymore. I even asked for extra kale... and nothing. Even as I'm writing this, a customer came in just after closing time and they forgot to lock the doors and turned her away. So so disappointed. After giving several other Cubby's locations a try, I decided to update my 1-Star review. I believe this location has poor days due to the amount of traffic it gets, which leads to sometimes snappy staff, and a messy and packed restaurant. My first trip to this franchise was extremely underwhelming, mostly due to poor customer service and food that didn't really meet my expectations. Upon returning (during a less busy time), I ordered the same thing and found it to be much better tasting (and much better prepared) than my first visit. While I still feel like Cubby's is a bit expensive, I think the Steak Salad is one of my favorites. I find that it's consistently prepared, and has fresh ingredients. The dressing is actually quite original and flavorful. I think this restaurant really shines when it comes to salad, since you actually get a good amount of protein in there as well. The burgers are okay, but there are better burgers to be had. I think they need to add a less crazy option to the burger selection for those that are just dipping their toes into this restaurant or just want a classic burger. Overall, I'm pleased with this restaurant after trying it a couple more times. I actually really enjoy the locations that aren't so packed, because I feel like I'm experiencing the restaurant how it was designed to be. When it gets busy, it's kind of miserable due to tight seating and crazy amounts of noise. read more

I ordered four meals. 1- kids hot dog was hard, on a hard bun, forgot the fries 2- kids burger, hard bun, cold meat 3- grilled cheese on soggy bread with a cold order of fries (supposed to be rosemary, received plain) 4- Houdini burger...no flavor...with an order of the tomato basil and coconut soup. I went to Cubby's today for lunch and there were many people there without masks on. (not eating... but the ones in line) I asked the cashier if they weren't requiring masks and she said "no, we're not" and I said "it's a mandate in Salt Lake County" to which the brilliant girl behind the counter said "I don't live in Salt Lake County." While I think a business has certain rights, they do not supersede the SL Health Department mandate.
