After calling everyone I could think of, including the board of water supply, with no one providing any help, I typed in "plumbers" into Yelp and started cold calling down the list. First Class Plumbing was the third company listed but the first one that seemed to care. I was warned that I was calling after hours so I'd have an emergency fee if I wanted service now... I joked "fine - this is an emergency" and was told I'd get a call back as soon as they could get ahold of one of their plumbers. I went back to trying to heave buckets of water into a nearby sink and received a call back 15 minutes later. The plumber was so calm, and after hearing that I was still dealing with gushing water, explained to me how to stop the water flow. He asked me to send him pictures of the burst pipe and the faucet and got off the phone to price everything out including replacing the pipes and faucet. After doing all that work he told me what the cost would be and then said it was no worries if given the price I didn't want to continue on - or at least wait until it wasn't an emergency (an extra $150 charge). I said I definitely wanted the service and he came right out and fixed the burst pipe. I would already have been raving about this place for their competent service if it had been a normal scheduled appointment. But the fact that this company and the plumber were there for me when no one else was, and went above and beyond walk me through how to stop the problems and extremely quickly look into part costs for me before I ever even agreed to the service has made me a loyal customer forever!

This is a family owned and operated business in Mililani that specialize in water heaters. They are fast, friendly and efficient and even haul away your old heater at no extra cost, what more can you ask for!? I called Friday morning around 8:30am and they were at my place around 12:30pm. Come to find out my water heater was less than 6 years old. They offered to stop working at no charge if I wanted to reach out to the previous installer since I should be under warranty. I declined because my experience with the previous company wasn't the best and they were already there. Martin offered a $100 discount because he felt bad that we were having to get a new water heater so soon. I was very grateful for his kindness and it made me even happier that I was able to support this small family run local business. The job was done in about an hour and Martin even helped me register my water heater online. He told me I had a 6 year warranty on the heater and 2 year warranty on labor. I will definitely reach out to Air-O-Smith again with any future water heater needs and have already referred one of my neighbors. If you have a need for a new water heater or your current heater needs repair please use this company, they are wonderful people and great at what they do!

As a home owner you have a lot of responsibilities where you need to juggle many responsibilities such as but not limited to finances, insurance, property taxes, preventative measures and maintenance. The other week I wasn't feeling well and stayed home from work which ended up a blessing in disguise as I had a leak in one of my 50 gallon tanks. I noticed the leak from the night before where I shut all but one valve and turned off the electric breakers. As water leaks can lead to property damage, I had to immediately get a plumber as I'm not a DIY person. I reached out to my BIL where he recommended either Allen's Plumbing (AP) or Roto Rooter. I decided to first check AP on Yelp and saw low ratings from good friends of Peter Y. and Victoria A. It's unfortunate my friends had below average experiences with AP where I was skeptical. But I trust my BIL and took the leap of faith. AP is a local company that started in 1982 servicing 24-hour service to both Oahu and Maui. The process was simple and efficient. I called first thing on a Friday morning and after addressing my issue, I was advised their plumber can be at my home at around 11am. Their dispatch contacted me a little before 11am to inform Jonah, their plumber, is on his way and arrived at about 1120am. After the assessment, it was determined that one of my hot water tanks had both internal and external leaks. I was provided an onsite quote of replacing the tank, installation, labor, parts, and disposal of the old tank. I was forewarned by my BIL of the higher than usual quote with AP, but trusted the integrity, service and professionalism of AP and agreed to the proposal. After committing to the quote, staff went on the road to secure my water tank replacement and came back about an hour later. This allowed me some time to clear the area and place more towels on the floor as water accumulated. When the staff returned, I advised them to use the side gate for a much easier access to the wash room. Luckily it was a breezy and sunny afternoon, ideal conditions in transporting the water tanks and installation. It took about 3 hours for Jonah and his colleague to disconnect and remove the damaged tank and install the new tank. I'm no expert in this field but waited patiently as I do have solar panels which perhaps caused extra steps in removing and installing. When I saw one of the staff load a box with the leaking water tank into their van, I sensed the task was soon to be completed. Prior to Jonah leaving, I did also mention my sink fixture in one of the bathrooms needed to be replaced where he also gave me a quote. It was already late so it was agreed I'd be calling back once I've made arrangements to have my sister house sit for me due to my work schedule. I paid my bill in full and the boys left my home. I had some minor tidying up to do as the laundry room floor was still wet. Overall, an amazing first experience with AP where I'd be sure to contact them again. I am impressed of their service, professionalism, dedication and knowledge of their industry by providing the service to get the job done. Note that due diligence is also required by the consumer. Highly recommended.

Saturday morning, after 14 yrs my water heater finally tapped out and started leaking through the…read morebottom insulation and panels. Thankfully, we caught it in time!! No water or mold damage to my unit or the connecting unit.. whew...!! I messaged a few companies via yelp and some were very slow to respond (days later), but Allen's Plumbing were surprisingly instantaneous. I'm sure it was a bot at first, messaging me for heater info, but once info was submitted, Kane (Allen's rep) contacted me and started appointment process. By Sunday I was locked in for a job assessment appointment. Though there was some unplanned, uncontrollable challenges the day of assessment appointment, Kaohu (Allen's scheduler), was able to request necessary information / photo's to keep the work process moving forward. Thankfully this made things so much easier and faster. By the end of the phone call I was booked for heater replacement. Following day I received another call from financing as I chose to finance the repair instead of out of pocket.. (yes they have financing options).. they let me know that I was approved for financing and that they would furnish me with a quote. Later that day I received the quote for 3 repair options: 1) replace in kind, 2) replace entire system: heater, solar panel, circ pump, piping and valves, or 3) downsize and upgrade to hybrid system. The quote was very transparent! Cost to replace, discovery work, tax credits and even cost of equipment and valve replacements that was not included in option 1 package. I took a gamble and chose option 1 - 'replace in kind' hoping my existing equipment and valves were still good and functional. Thursday came and the technician's showed up.. I call em the 3-J's: Jonah, Jesse, and Jaren (haha). They got their tools and equipment situated and got right to work. Pulled out the old heater and installed new heater. Relocated existing pipes and circ pump to now sit on top of heater, freeing up some space in my already small/ storage less townhouse.. The team was very polite and kind, worked well with each other and very respectful with noise.. I almost forgot they were out there working lol. Anyhow, the boys got it done, left the place cleaner then I gave it to them and walked me through the install and changes before they left. Really appreciated the work they did and how professional they were. Side note: option 1) replace in kind. This option did not include circ pump, mixing valve and or controller. If my equipment didn't function correctly it would have been additional cost to me. So big gamble on my part. I'm highlighting this because the guys made every effort to inspect existing equipment and since found in good condition, did not replace it 'just to make the sale'. So I felt effort and honesty should be highlighted in this review. I really REALLY appreciate that about this company and work crew. They weren't out to take my make money. They came back with a proposal of $35,000. After reviewing the itemized estimate, I immediately advised her to get additional quotes. One line item alone was $1,660 to install four hose bibbs (spigots)--something she never requested. There was no discussion about adding new hose bibbs or performing related work throughout the house that would justify this charge. For context, hose bibbs are inexpensive parts (around $5-$10 each at The Home Depot or similar retailers) and typically require minimal labor. We obtained two additional quotes from other plumbers: $4,500 and $3,900 for the same repair. Based on this experience, the pricing from Steve's was extremely inflated and concerning--especially given that the customer was an elderly homeowner. If you consider getting a quote from Steve's, I strongly recommend getting multiple estimates before proceeding.

Requested HECO to come out and discovered the 100 amp breaker melted the plastic behind it and basically fell apart. Anyways, by just providing him a picture he could tell just the breaker needed replacing instead of the whole panel, which would've costed thousands. Johny is super knowledgeable and friendly. I sent many requests to obtain pricing on the replacement of my water heater. While I understand that it is hard to get a true estimate without an on-site visit I still wanted a ball-park figure. Chris from Cubellis Plumbing was one the first ones to respond with a price range while many others requested that I call to speak to them in person to get a quote instead which is a negative for me as I did not have the time to call during normal hours. When I found out my home warranty with American Home Shield (AHS) might cover the replacement he explained the process thoroughly and advised me that there would still be out-of-pocket costs so that I would not be surprised. Even though I was under the mercy of my home warranty, the entire process with AHS and Cubellis was smooth from start to finish. Chris was very polite and professional. He remained calm and patient with all my questions and was always quick to respond to my emails and clear with his explanations. Removal and installation of the water heater went smooth as well. He came out to our house to provide a free estimate without having to charge (camera & consultation included). All the other plumbers that I talked to just wanted to charge straight off the bat for camera-ing the line or for even coming by. His pricing is reasonable for the amount of effort and time he puts in. Services that were provided to us are listed below. -Camera inspection -Unclogging the main line -Locating our buried cleanout -Installing an additional cleanout for hydro-jetting (required hand digging it almost 3.5 feet deep, just him and his partner) -Hydro-jetting our main line He has spent countless hours and tools trying to clean out our line but sadly our pipes were too far gone (which we had suspected beforehand but it was worth a chance). I am impressed by the effort and professionalism that was shown in regards to communication, scheduling, and performing the work. Would definitely recommend him to my family and friends!

The owner Chad answered the call and was very patient listening to my explanation of the problem. He clearly knew what was needed and we scheduled a day and time. The day before our scheduled appointment I asked Chad if he would be able to replace my garbage disposal, no problem. I took a picture of the existing disposal and sent it to Chad. Chad arrived on time and I appreciated his assessment and on what would be done. He installed the pressure regulator with copper piping and recommended if I would like to have a water outlet installed. Great location Great idea! Chad also replaced an old hose bibb valve that was stuck to the hose. The garbage disposal installation went well and his assistant showed me where the reset on button is located as well as what to do if the blades are jammed. I highly recommend Plumbing Kings Hawaii because they are reputable, honest and reliable. Chad has immense knowledge and expertise in the business beyond his years. Chad answered all my numerous plumbing questions in layman's term which I appreciated. Highly recommend to all my friends and family. Mahalo for a job well done!

Joe called back and listened to what we needed. He asked for the inspection report and said he would send his team the day we got the keys to the new home so they could start right away. Communication was stellar! Joe was so nice and understanding of our situation. The day came and the professionals came Darrell and Dayton. Joe said that they would get started on the important items. When Darrell came in he had our home inspection in his hands on the plumbing section and wanted to get the serious items out of the way. We walked through the home explained the layout and they were very attentive and listened. Got a game plan and they went right to work. So professional and knowledgeable. Unclogged Our…read morebathroom sink was unexpectedly clogged earlier this week; the water was at a standstill...it would not drain at all from the sink. Faced with such a stressful and inconvenient situation, we called (as we have done in the past) Rayo Plumbing. My mother left a message on morning of Tues 6/23, they returned our call later that day, and thankfully we were able to secure an appointment for this morning, Wed 6/24. Brandon was punctual and arrived at 9:00am. We again shared our problem with our sink and that the water didn't drain, and he got right work diagnosing the problem and set to work on resolution. He "snaked" the drain, was able to remove any "problem" which led to the clog, and restored the faucet and sink t working order. He was also able to resolve a leaky faucet in our secondary bathroom. In the end, we felt the price point was reasonable, and we were extremely grateful, as well as thankful, that he was able to help us this morning. side NOTE I was unaware that my mom had placed a call to Rayco Plumbing yesterday morning, and so I had sent out a request for quotes/service using the Yelp app. I was thankful that multiple businesses responded to my request, but I felt bad in the end for wasting people's valuable time. Also, I'd asked him if he can install a grab bar that I had provided to our shower wall. He completed the entire job within a hour and the bill was reasonable. I would rate him a "5!" Overall, I was please with Pukana Ohana's services despite the service fee of $25 and there is a 3% convenience fee (actually, nowadays, it's called "processing fee") if payment was made with a credit card. At least, I asked beforehand so I wouldn't be shocked.
