It's ok. A couple of years back they would answer their phone and return messages when Junior was there. But there has been a management change or fallout. Now I can't get them to answer the phone or return my messages. They also raised their labor rate from $100/hour to $150. Inflation I guess. They are good if you can get them on phone and get them to do your job. The owner is usually non committal as to when they can get to your job. I recently had a very good experience with Fast Rooter Plumbing. At the beginning of the weekend, I noticed that the area around my toilet was wet. I wasn't able to get an appointment with my regular plumber until mid week. On Sunday, the area was even wetter. Since I live in a Condo, I was concerned that if the problem wasn't taken care of, there could be damage to the Unit below mine. I called one plumbing company that could come out first thing Monday, although the quote given was very high. On a recommendation, I called Fast Rooter Plumbing who was also able to come out on Monday. Jay came on Monday during the time frame given. He changed my wax seal and the flapper on my toilet. The charge was very reasonable compared to the other quote I had received. A couple days later, I noticed a little water still leaking from the toilet. I called that morning with my concern and Jay returned to see what the problem was. Jay corrected it and apologized that it happened and there was no charge. I needed a pumber to unclog a bathroom drain. After I pushed a snake down twice, still clooged. I went down the list of plumbers. Jr. answered and gave me the time frame and a quote. Matt called me before coming to let me know when he would arrive. Then showed up at the time he said he would. I told him what I had already done with no success. I came home from the gym and couldn't wait to jump in the shower only to find it filled with stinky water with all sort of gross stuff floating around in my tub. I tried DIY by using Drano, the old baking soda and vinegar trick, plunging and even snaking the pipe with no luck. Then I jumped on the iPad and searched for a plumber and of course no one is answering their phones on a Saturday at 4:00PM. I read a bunch of reviews and there seems to be a not so positive attitude toward plumbers due to their plumber's crack or the expensive bill you know you're going to receive. I found Fast Rooter Plumbing and someone actually answer the phone. I told them I realized it's almost 5PM and you guys will probably come out on Sunday and in my head thinking they're charge me the over the top Sunday rates. Nope! Mike said he'll have his staff call me back in 2 minutes. Sure enough, Matt called me right back and said he's on his way. He's on his way?! Is this a dream? Are you kidding me?! Matt was absolutely professional, took off his shoes and went to work right away. He wind up having to use a kinetic ram which uses about 4700 feet per second of shock wave to push whatever is clogging your pipes. He told me the snake or Drano are useless in condos since we share pipes with our neighbor's units. He places my super white towels and bathroom rug to another room so they wouldn't get dirty too! Wow, how nice was that?! When he was all done, he even offered to clean the tub. He's was done in less than 1/2 hour and charged $141.36. That's dirt cheap compare to what I've read on Yelp about what other plumbers were charging. Matt even wind up helping me tighten up my kitchen's faucet for no charge. It would have cost me time to run to Home Depot and rent this odd looking tool and crawl underneath the kitchen sink to fix my shifting faucet. If you need a plumber for your condo, especially if you know your pipes are shared with your neighbor's unit you have to contact Fast Rooter Plumbing! The first one replied in a matter of minutes but said they needed authorization from my landlord to even come out to assess the job. Fast Rooter assigned Maxx, who was great. He arrived and drained the heater, disconnected it and took it to the warranty company to exchange it for me after I set up the pickup. I found them to be exceptionally responsive and able to work with my schedule - instead of the other way around. They came out on a Sunday for no extra charge (this may be due to the tech's own schedule rather than a given!), were professional, courteous, and explained everything to me. I am delighted with their service. Beware - they will call before coming on that day - even if you have arranged an arrival window. If you miss that call - they will go on to their next service. I obviously missed that call, but when I contacted them to get their expected arrival time (I had thought they were just late), they gave me a new expected arrival time and worked with my schedule. I'm so incredibly impressed with first plumber experience with Mike from Fast Rooter. I have been avoiding hiring a plumber for weeks now, but finally caved when all else failed to clear my shower drain. I called on a Saturday and they said they would have someone come out in an hour. This was impressive, I was assuming I wouldn't get an appointment until next week! Mike arrived early, got to work, and was done so quickly. Not only was he polite, he was extremely thorough and got the job done. He was nice enough to explain to me what had happened and the process he used, and ways to avoid the drain being clogged in the future. I will also add that Fast Rooter has great pricing, and after calling around they gave me an extremely reasonable rate. It's sad when you have to give a less than stellar rating on Yelp when part of the work was completed and done satisfactorily. I contracted Fast Rooter Plumbing to hook up an ice maker (was done properly), the sink which included the facet and disposal (was done properly) and installation of a dishwasher (not done). The dishwasher was missing the clips so the installation couldn't be completed that day. I told them I'd get the clips later that day and if they would come back and install; they said yes. However, after 3 attempts of trying to contact them, leaving very detailed messages, no one called me back. The subsequent plumber that I hired to install my dishwasher said it was one of the hardest installs he's ever done. I now believe that they didn't want the hassle of coming back to finish up the job. It's a business' choice to take or not a take on a job, but on a customer service level, it is entirely rude and unprofessional to not give the customer a courtesy call back to say they are not interested in finishing up the job or even lie and say they are booked up...something. I wasted a week waiting for them to return my call. read more

Although it seems that my review doesn't matter (Due to their current 5 star standing) I would like to pile on the compliments. I worked with Junior over the phone to schedule a plumber for a water shutdown with a very uncertain water startup time. Junior informed me that due to they charge an hourly rate of $95/hr and that they would be required to wait until the water was started up to ensure there was no leaking from their repairs to my unit. Junior worked with me to ensure that his plumbers time was optimized, and he gave me a very accurate expectation for how long the work would require. All of this planning, along with seamless execution by the plumber (I believe his name was Matt) resulted in what I would consider a very reasonable price for 2 hours of work, and a significant number of items being addressed. For my fellow yelpers: I have 5 Angle Valves Replaced, a P-Trap Installed, and my Shower Drain repaired / snaked, along with a valve behind my shower repaired, all for just under $600. I was honestly expecting to pay $800+ for these repairs, so needless to say I was happy with the end result. Most importantly work quality - So far everything appears to be working great, and during the entire time in my studio, Matt was working diligently. So our pipes are old, probably broken. Our main line clogs up...let's see at this rate...about once every 6-7 months. Why are we still here? It's Hawaii, man. Finding a new place is not the easiest or cheapest. Our landlord insists it's our fault (why would we purposely eff with the plumbing? We're not 3-year olds). Anyway, for every single problem we've had, we went with Fast Rooter and have received the most exceptional service. I called about 630 this morning and they answered. Points right there. Then they said they'd have someone over between 9-11 am--another huge plus as I was afraid they were going to say something like later this evening or tomorrow--and seeing how we just got back from the gym, use of the shower and toilet sooner than later would be great. Oh, did I mention we couldn't use our kitchen sink either--the water would back out from under our second bathroom's toilet! Imagine my surprise when the plumber called at 8 am saying he could be right over!! I was so grateful because that meant our whole day wasn't going down the toilet (sorry, I had to--I know, bad pun). He came out here, ran an industrial snake through our outside pipe entrance and was done in about 30 min! The total with tax was $188 which, to me is a really good deal for a plumber, especially in Hawaii. Each time they come out they recommend running a camera through the pipes but my landlord keeps saying we have to pay for it. It's $270 for the camera, which is, again, not bad but until my landlord pays for it, it's not happening I guess. I highly recommend these guys. They are nice, courteous, ON TIME, and affordable! Got a clog in the kitchen sink and tried to clear it with the civilian "snake" with absolutely no luck. Got completely flaked on by Matt at Low Cost Drain Plumbing (had great reviews here). Not even a phone call. In panic mode, we called Fast Rooter Plumbing out of the phone book (yes we still own one!). Mike was friendly on the phone, straight out told us he was hungry as he worked through lunch so he would grab a bite to eat, then be at our home within the hour. He arrived early and proceeded to fix the clog in our drain using an industrial looking drain snake. Pulled out some rubber like material (kids stuffing balloons down the drain???). About 40 minutes in and drain worked like a charm. Extremely professional, friendly, on time, VERY reasonable price (especially compared to the quote we got from the flaker), took off his shoes to come into the house, cleaned all the nastiness that came out of the sink, and solved the problem with no issue whatsoever. Fast and really friendly guys! However, the guy who answered my call was not very professional. He just answered the phone "hello" and I had to ask if this was true fast rooter plumbing service. I called around 10 am for someone to come and fix my bathroom sink that was leaking. The guy told me someone could come help me in the next few hours. By 10:50, two guys were here. They replaced my hot and cold sink supply lines. And also cleared my dishwasher drain since they were here anyways. They charge $90 an hour. And accept cash check and credit cards.
