On the day of the move, I received a call from one of the movers at approximately 08:50. He let me know that they would be about 30 minutes late and asked if they should bring a dolly to the appointment. I replied yes, based on what I had originally discussed with Sam. During my initial phone call with Sam, I mentioned several times that while I might not have a lot of furniture, the items I do have are very heavy. I also explained that because I lived in a downtown apartment, there would be a long walk from my unit to the elevators and the loading dock. Additionally, I noted that the POD was on a same-day drop-off and pick-up schedule. I was assured that the company "moves with love" and that everything would be fine.On the scheduled day, the movers ended up showing up at approximately 11:15. I met with two gentlemen and showed them to my POD and my apartment. Initially, they brought a couple of boxes down to the POD. When we went back up to my apartment, I asked where their equipment was--such as dollies, furniture wrap, and a TV box. The movers informed me that they did not have any supplies with them, but they could call their boss to see about getting some. After discussing the situation, they left to buy a dolly at a local U-Haul and returned later. I spoke specifically with a manager located in Georgia to voice my concerns. The pick-up time for my POD was 14:00, which would have been more than enough time given the original start time. However, with the movers returning to my apartment at roughly noon, I had major concerns about getting my furniture into the POD on time and without damage. Unfortunately, because the purchased equipment was not meant for large furniture, my belongings were dropped quite a bit between my apartment and the POD. I ended up acting as the third mover just to get the job done. I requested that Sam contact me to explain where the mix-up happened, but have yet to hear back. I know I will have to buy new furniture, which can ultimately be replaced. However, as a military retiree, the boxes that now contain large, heavy items like my adjustable bed platform also hold all of my military memorabilia. I will never be able to return to those locations to replace those items. Overall, I would not personally recommend this company.Key

I had planned to recycle them but the driver said he wanted them. Had I known it would be an extra $272, I wouldn't have agreed. And to top it all off, they charged me an hour extra ($159). I can't complain about the actual movers, who were fantastic, but the shady business practices are enough to make me want to warn others. I had to pay in full before they'd unload the truck, I did not get an itemized bill until I asked twice via email, and then when I questioned the extra charges, I also had to ask twice. Be wary.

The…read moreAtlanta crew was good, they helped us with packing a too small truck (our fault) but the crew we had in St. Pete, FL (C and crew from Bradenton, FL out of the Sarasota office) was awesome. They were fast (finished an hour early) and they were so pleasant. They were laughing with each other, having a great time even though the complex we moved into was kind of a headache to get around. They were so polite and careful with our items, ensuring everything was placed where we wanted it. This was our first move (out of 4 moves in 7 years) that we did not use a moving company that moved us start to finish (like packed the truck, drove it, and unloaded) and I was a little nervous about that, but all in all I'm very happy with our experience. Two moving crews in two states with a 16 ft truck FULL floor to ceiling, front to back was $1,400 (truck not included).
