Further, there was a homeless person sleeping in a car inside the storage unit gates. This is not the first time I've been there early in the morning and been surprised to see homeless individuals skulking out of the buildings. The gates are wide open most mornings when I arrive. Not 'open' as in someone just drove through and they haven't closed yet. No, they are wide open and remain so for extended periods. This activity renders the business unsafe. I plan to engage my City Council member to ask Code Enforcement to start surprise inspections for code violations: use of storage units as 'housing', health code violations, and drug use.

There are multiple levels of security and the elevator is huge and fast. The owner, who is there all week, is super nice and helpful. CubeSmart might consider adjusting their business practices to tell people UP FRONT of all their additional fees & taxes before wasting an HOUR of someones time, only to find out that a $119.00/Month space is really a $130.00/month space. This model just sucks. I'd look elsewhere before going here. I'll stick with Public Storage, for now.
