It is clear they have done nothing to control the problem as no evidence of rodent exclusion and reduction was seen on the grounds. They also closed the one large loading dock to get more storage units in and now a moving truck can't even pull in to unload. This took way longer to move, plus the time it took to clean and disinfect my belongings and had to pitch some stuff as well. I guess they don't care if they inconvenience their customers as long as they can get the maximum rent - which by the way increases almost every month. The owner claims the issue is being taken care of but the mice never went away as every month I return to my unit and discover new damage! The contract you sign when renting the unit mentions no responsibility of the owner for any damage including damage done by rodents so you will be left on your own to deal with your loss. They offered $10 discount for the next 6 months for me as well as arrange the livers to vacate then disappeared. The staff is friendly but not helpful. Be mindful of this went renting from them!

I called again, and this time they told me that they changed my moving time from 2-4 pm. I was pissed because no one told me but whatever. At 3:30 pm, no one came still and I called again and this time the woman let me call the moving dispatcher myself. I called him and he was extremely rude to me. I asked him how long it would take for him to get to me, and he told me that it would probably be 7 pm...maybe. I asked him why it was taking so long and he got really aggressive on the phone saying that there are at least 20 customers ahead of me and it doesn't matter when I scheduled the move. He started yelling at me and saying he didn't care and that he didn't know what to say to me anymore, he could probably be there at 9 pm. To me, since I am a woman living alone, I did not want to move at night, so I just said whatever and hung up. I then called about 5 moving companies and finally found one for next day moving. They were great and I paid double what Skokie offered me, but it was done right and they were respectful the whole time. You get what you pay for I guess. The facility is clean (which was very important to me) and secure. River and Mario at the facility are friendly and nice River signed me up quickly and I was able to move in within minutes. Both of them are helpful when you are at the facility during open hours. I like the control through the blue tooth app. The signal can get a little dicey but it has always worked. When you arrive you can pull into the indoor bay. There are carts to help move things around. Easy.

They have raised the rate on my unit twice in just more than a year of having moved my stuff in --…read morenot minor increases either. And I'm not talking about from the promotional rate to the regular rate. From the regular rate, they've raised it twice, for a total of more than $50/month -- $600+ a year! Not only that, but their efforts to be more technology driven make dealing with them a pain. There is no on-premises staff to talk to at any time. You have to stand in an empty lobby and talk to someone remotely over a video call if you need help. They require you to use an app to gain access to anywhere in the building. The lobby, opening the garage door, the restroom, the elevator, etc. But the apps are unreliable and inconsistent. And there's two of them. We were supposed to start using the new one but it doesn't work (the old one still does?). I wish I never moved my stuff in here. I wouldn't recommend this storage unit to anyone.
