I will start by saying I was very excited ...just…read morelike anybody to visit a Dentist that looks like he delivers great results. #1 I was a cash patient. #2 I knew I needed Deep cleaning #3 I never thought I would be very disappointed After they took my X-rays and told me about all my cavities lol I wanted to know how much for the deep cleaning. First he said 600 then he kept talking and when to see the other patient then came back to me and he asked me if I wanted to hold off on the deep cleaning and come back. I said No, I can get it done now. He said ok it will be $750 including medicine . I said ok. I agreed because he looked like he knows what he's doing and was very patient! Before we started, the receptionist came to me and said ok I will take the payment at the front. I was disappointed and said, I will pay after he does the service. So she went to talk to him... long story short. THEY MADE ME PAY before they did my DEEP CLEANING. He did it in 45mins. I paid with no problem. I was also interested in invisaligners, the price he mentioned was VERY high. I will not mention the price because I don't want people to be discouraged. Two days after I went to a different dentist and I was quoted half of the price for invisaligners. Either way. Dr. Lee has very good knowledge about dentistry but IF YOU ARE A CASH PATIENT I WOULD SUGGEST THINK ABOUT IT 2X. I gave 3 stars because Dr.'s service was GREAT, too EXPENSIVE (maybe for me that I was a cash patient) and it's not professional to charge for a service that has not been rendered.

This new dentist told me that he didn't understand why the original dentist who did my implant would want to redue the whole thing. My implant was done and it just needed a new screw. I am forever grateful to my new dentist. He searched and found a new screw replaced it and charged me the price of the screw. I paid close to nothing and to think that the original dentist wanted to recharge me the full price. Please stay away from this dentist he is not honest and want to take your money. Save yourself the time and money and find yourself another dentist. If you are local to me I will post a great review for my new dentist. You may want to consider going there instead of this place.

But they been really patient with me, especially working around my schedule. I love doctor mike he's pretty bad ass. He's a true professional. One time I had an extraction, too close to a nerve, and it was SO close that he was so patient with that tooth. He waited for that bad boy just to pop out. A lot of dentists don't take your health and risks into consideration. They just feel like they've done it so many times what's one more time. But doctor mike is a monster in a good way. Please thoroughly review the charges you are being billed. Every time I visit, they consistently overcharge me by a few hundred dollars and it is extremely challenging to obtain a refund. They charge whatever they please, regardless of what your insurance states they should charge you. Verify the charges with your insurance; the amount your insurance states you need to pay is the correct cost. All dental offices have contracts or agreements with insurance companies that specify the exact cost per procedure and they must adhere to these prices. The office manager, Zoila, is aware of this but disregards it and overcharges because she knows that the majority of the patients either don't speak English or don't know how to check. She exploits our low-income community and its residents. Even when you return and complain, she refuses to help and do the right thing. I've always had to contact their Sherman Oaks office (Southland Dental, 818-788-4788) and speak with Ana for my refunds. So far, Ana has been helpful and refunded the overcharges but it's always a mission to get ahold of her. I'm genuinely puzzled by the owner, Dr. Michael Abaian, continuing to employ these crooked Office Managers but I guess they are making him money!!!

That's because they have customers fill out reviews in exchange for being entered into a drawing. My friend went here to get his teeth examined, and the dentist made it seem like he needed thousands of dollars worth of work or his teeth would basically fall out. They made him pay in advance before any treatment was even done. When he did get the work done, they messed it up repeatedly -- he had to keep going back just to fix what they'd done wrong.
