They were on time (which has been an issue with other service providers), extremely professional and tidy with the materials. We booked through the owner Jason and he sent one of the supervisors out with a team to do our room. The supervisor on site was very kind and made sure he heard and understood our wants/needs before they began. They offer competitive pricing and it was absolutely worth the headache of doing it ourselves (and looks much better of course) Once the team was done, not only did they ask us to approve everything but Jason called us as well before they left to make sure we were happy. Extremely professional. Showed up on time for the estimate. A worker showed up on the designated day to start and prepped the whole house by masking things, moving things on and around the house and pressure washing. The next day a crew showed up and took down screens and covered all windows and sprayed the whole house and under the eaves. We received a letter from our HOA to repair our missing stucco. I knew there were some spots that were sparse...no idea where the stucco went...I guess it just fell off over time. But while we were looking at the stucco, we noticed how awful the paint looked. It wasn't something we really noticed until our attention was called to it. It was rough. Streaky, spotty and the back of the house, which is under direct sunlight all day, was a totally different color than the rest of the house. I turned to Yelp & the next door app for recommendations. Someone on next door had great things to say about New Gen Paint so I looked them up in yelp and liked what I read and really liked all the before & after photos. We had a couple other estimates, all much higher than NPG. But my husband, who met with Santos for the estimate, really liked him. Santos has been painting houses longer that we've been alive! So you know he knows what he's doing. We also liked that Santos & his son Jason built a company from the ground up...from hard work and honesty. Our home looks better than the day we moved in. I'm being 100% honest when I say they did a better job than the home builder. New Gen Painting only recently created their Yelp account so that explains them having so few reviews at this time. They just finished painting our house with Sherwin Williams paint (4-18-18). I like that they power washed the house several days before painting, to get rid of the dust and dirt. They prepared the surface by filling in the surface imperfections and used plastic and tape to protect adjacent surfaces from overspray. The painting process took about seven hours from beginning to end. I like the nice crisp lines between the colors/surfaces. I am very happy with the results and the cost was very reasonable. As the homeowner whose home was being painted by New Gen Painting today, I would like to respond to Susie T's review. One of New Gen's owners and I spent all day at my house while it was being painted and oversaw all of the work. It would have been impossible for any of the workers to drop down into the T's yard (which is behind, to the left and at least 10 feet lower than our yard), haul a jackhammer back up and over our wall (no easy task!), and carry it through our backyard to one of their vehicles without our knowledge. The T's have no proof of any of the workers taking anything from their yard and the husband admitted to me he hadn't seen the jackhammer since the night before. He was offered the opportunity to search all of the trucks and my husband checked everywhere around our house and nothing was found. He also threatened to call the police which we told him to do, but he chose not to because he had no proof! New Gen Painting did an AWESOME job on our house. We absolutely love it and would not hesitate to call them again anytime. They were extremely professional and hardworking and all I have to say is shame on the T's for accusing someone of taking something when they have absolutely no proof. The husband threatened to "ruin them" on Yelp as he left our property. Well, I don't intend to let that happen to a hardworking, reputable company. Thank you. read more
