If you enjoy going deaf while you have a meal, then this is the place for you! If there is any kind of a safe decibel recommendation for live music in a restaurant they have WAY surpassed it. I hope their management takes this into consideration when they read this review. It was so uncomfortable at our first table that we requested a different booth as far from the music as possible. Worst place to eat on a Saturday night (11/4). When we got there, they told us the wait would be 30 minutes. We waited over 2 hours and still no table. My cousin went to ask for an update an hour after and the hostess said that she had forgotten. She then asked 30 minutes after that. Another hour passed and they came and told us our table was ready. As I was entering, I heard the hostess say that she was close to not giving us a table because we were asking too much. As busy as they are, that was very unprofessional. I went here with a group of my friends. The food was not great the music was amazing but a little loud. The waitress said she could not put our bills on separate orders/tabs minimum of 3 tabs. There were guys requesting songs but they made us pay for them 25.00 for each song even though the main singer knew the guys were requesting them from the bar, They got our tabs all mixed up and extra was added on there that we did not even order. Security grabbed my friends purse and phone and made her pay for things we didn't even get. The waitress lied to save her own ass because she didn't know what she was doing and she told my friend she was going to take things off the tab that she did not. One of my friends paid 72.00 for two beers and one entree. Crazy prices and disrespectful security and management. Waitresses need to be better organized or they need to get more to attend all the tables and remember who ordered what. Did I mention it took 1 hour and 15min to get our cold food? Crazy!! Turn your restaurant into a bar because the food sucks and hire people that know what they are doing and don't lie on your customers. Came across this place because I work around the area. Thought it would be a great place to have a family dinner just thought it was something different. Boy was I wrong! We got there at around 7:30 and I thought I had arrived to a club. Waitlist was about 20 minutes as we were contemplating to stay or leave. We got sat and a server came and took our drink orders, we had to practically scream our orders because it was too loud with that band playing. I ordered one of their ceviches and one of the rolls. Food wasn't great and my shrimp were grey which looked raw. I took a bite and it was chewy. I told my server and he broke it down to me how they made it. Umm hello I'm full blooded Mexican I know how ceviche is made! But this tasted raw. He took my food back and took almost 20 mins to come back and get my new order, by that time my family was done with their food so it was pointless to order anything. We were so annoyed with the loud music we were ready to leave..... but once again our server took another 20 minutes to bring a tab. I like to give places the benefit of the doubt but this place was horrible first and last time I will be coming here. So disappointed in the way the singer treated us! It was our first time we were excited since we've heard about it a lot from other friends who enjoy banda as well. We went last minute as we were running strands so we didn't dress to impress. The singer was going around to all the booths with people dressed up asking if they wanted a song but payed no attention to us who were trying to get his attention. All he cared about was the booth 2 seats away from us who has already requested 3 songs. We have money I dont mean to sound arrogant or stuck up but we have a lot of money I dont need to dress in name brand 24/7 in order to get good service from anyone. I think its very rude of them to only pay attention to those who look like money just to eat somewhere. I asked him how much a song was so I could check how much cash to get from my wallet and all he said was $25 and before I could say anything else he rolled he gave me a rude as look like I couldn't afford it cut me off and walked back to the table of people dressed up. He wouldn't even go near us after that! The sushi rolls we ordered were great and our server was the nicest but if I went back I wouldnt want to be anywhere near this singer. I came upon this place while driving to Trader Joe's. The place is nicely decorated and emits an authentic cultural experience by the design and live music. I love sushi and was afraid of trying sushi at a Mexican place. I had the Bell Roll and was honestly a bit disappointed...too much cream cheese in it. It wasn't great :( But hey, to give them benefit of the doubt I didn't try the other sushi available. So maybe next time?? My boyfriend had Aguachile and he loved it. I have to say that their Tres Leches cake was AMAZING!!!!! Will come back for the Tres Leches for sure! Now the live band was so LOUD we could barely hear each other. Be ready to go deaf LOL! But I guess that goes with their atmosphere of the restaurant. Staff seemed nice too. Our waitress was attentive and kind. The place was packed. Might give this place a try again next time....and I'll try a different sushi roll. I think it would be great to have Salsa dancing events here and bring Salsa band with dancing. ALRIGHT! Review time! Dude, this place isn't all that bad. We got the VIP tostada dish, shrimp empanada appetizer, octopus taco, fish taco and the shrimp quesadilla. All were VERY good! Maybe our standard for ceviche isn't very high but we really enjoyed everything! We didn't love the empanadas but they were tolerable. We went at 12pm on a Sunday, an hour after opening and it wasn't busy, shortly after though the customers were rolling in! My father got the aguachili* and it was delish. Mom got the devils shrimp, or whatever the spiciest level was.. definitely not spicy but the flavor was good! Lots of garlic, but if you're looking for something like the boiling crab, hit up Crawfish noodle and grill in Modesto. Way better for that type of seafood. Drinks were strong and our waitress was attentive and took our photo for us without us having to ask! I stood up to do it and she pretty much took my phone and told me to sit down. It's truely upsetting that I have to rate this place so low, they were something different to our small town, but due to ONE unfortunate event service wise, I REFUSE to go back, I spoke with a manager about a promotion they run and they refused to honor it, the incident was with there party box. I have countless times before purchased the party box to go and apparently they were not able to honor it this time, because turns out that the discount on part boxes is only in store, It was also a Friday and they were packed so maybe my order was irrelevant to them, I literally had made a similar order a week and a half before on a Wednesday and they were okay with honoring it, and not to mention the fact that there staff just stands there talking around. I literally had to grab someone physically to even paying attention to me, I don't know how long I was standing at their front counter just waiting to see if I'd even be greeted. I went on a Sunday afternoon with my family paid over 150 for food and even paid the ridiculous price of $25 for the Banda to sing a song for us but nobody came to our table but the singer. When the whole Banda was supposed to play for you at your table.. went to go pay and the girl said their system failed when I paid with my card. So I had to re enter my pin and let her know that the two transactions are now taken and on hold. She told me it wouldn't take both that it would reject one but NOPE, wrong. I called back after a week and a half without my money since they decided to charge me twice and asked to speak to Victor the manager and he told me to go and get my money back. I called him the next morning asking if I can go in and get my money back and he told me no. That charging people twice on "accident" happens too frequently and I now have to go through the bank to get MY money back from Culichi town. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever had. I will not return to this location. And Victor also had the nerve to tell me he'll give me a discount next time I go. HA. read more

Reserved a table and Waited at the bar for friends when they showed up.Bartender was handsome, nice, and flirty! The best Mitchilada I've ever had! as our party showed up and we went to claim our table the hostess and manager had no idea what was going on I was also shunned when I didn't speak in Spanish. We were promptly seated four adults and three children. We received one piece of silverware for the entire group and two menus the entire night even after asking for some we were told OK and ignored. Music was good but very loud made it hard to enjoy the company of those who came to share a meal with. Tostada of plates were delicious but the sushi is very lacking as most of it is clearly using cream cheese as a filler for top shelf fish prices. I asked for cilantro to be added to my dish it was not I requested it again and was served onions we also requested Tapitio sauce and were told that they did not have that brand as we looked around at the other tables it was obvious there was a bottle on every table. Waitress seem to be way too overwhelmed. Upon checkout we asked for separate checks that did not happen so we split it and decided to pay I was going to use my card for $11 exactly or pay cash if it was over that I was told it was not so I gave her my card which was promptly ran for OVER$11.00 when that became an issue at the front register I gave them cash never received my change!!!! In a face-to-face exchange. Therefore I did not tip. I later incurred a bank fee for this transaction!!!! The wait time is long but that's to be expected because the place is still fairly new. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very helpful and provided us top notch service. I wish I remembered his name but he was an older gentleman. The food however was a bit of a let down. The shrimp empanadas were very doughy and the sushi rolls were decent. I used to live in Culiacan Sinaloa many years ago as a missionary; So when I heard that this place served sushi, "Culichi" style I was super excited to try it out. The restaurant is real nice and clean, but I thought it was awkward with all the security guards all around the restaurant, it made me me remeber what living in Culiacan was like. The food was real good my wife said that it was a bit pricey for the two of us, it was like sixty dollars or so, and we didn't even order any alcohol. I've eatin here twice, and in order to beat the long lines it's best to come here from 2:00pm to 4:30pm to beat the crowd of people that come here. They have live music which was awesome to see and hear, but it was way too loud! You can't really enjoy your meal and talk to your significant other because the music is so loud. If I were the owner I would have the band play three songs and then have them take a five minute interval break between every three songs to give the people the chance to mingle a little. I also noted that if you can't read spanish the whole menu is in spanish which makes it difficult for those who don't read in spanish; so bring someone with you who is fluent in spanish. The place was pretty full already and it was around 4:30 pm. They also handed us one of those little buzzer things that let us know when it's our turn. After 45 minutes of waiting, I noticed people that have came before us were already seated. So I go inside and the three employees there were just talking and I knew the girl that was facing me saw me waiting there until I had to speak up to let them know I was there waiting. And I asked how much longer cuz I saw people before us seated and told them the name and I guess they had skipped us or something. They would go outside to call the parties names so it's not like we didn't hear our name being called. What was the point of handing out those buzzer things of they were just going to skip us??? We were seated and our waitress was great! The drinks were ok. We both ordered micheladas, they were just like any other micheladas nothing special. They were $7.99 each. I ordered the tostadas aguachile with hot cheetos and my bf ordered the campechana cocktail. The aguachile really had no flavor :( and my bf said the cocktail was watered down. Way overpriced. I'd rather keep going to that Mariscos truck on crows landing in ceres. I was really looking forward to this place but I don't think I'll ever come by here again after that day. read more

We had heard such great things about this place and where really disappointed in the food, we ordered a roll and had some kind of fried chicken dish I think it was chicken we couldn't read the menu because we do not know how to read Spanish which was fine the waitress helped us order.
