Very personalized, small classes. Almost all classes end with yoga nidra which I love. Bhumi is very experienced and knowledgeable, and makes sure you are in alignment and will not injure yourself. Most classes are open to all levels of experience. Classes are held outdoor on the huge yoga deck in good weather, and the view from the newly-built spacious indoor studio is breathtaking, with a view of the pond, woods, and birds. There isn't a defined waiting area separate from the class space (it flows together). Because of this, during meditation or savasana people will be entering for the next class. With doors opening/closing, people talking and general noise that personally takes me out of the zone. They also catch noise from somewhere adjacent that sounds like a piano music class. However, I can sympathize that that's out of their control. I also had a class where the instructor had everyone go around the room stating any injuries/physical limitations. Many people find yoga due to physical limitations and it was very awkward. I believe those conversations should stay between instructor and student since everyone is on a different journey and doesn't always want everyone to know. They have a wonderful location and it's never terribly hard to find free parking in Tremont. I've also met some nice people and appreciate the non-competitive atmosphere. I have heard great things about their massage and other services and I would look forward to visiting one of those!

I booked the class the night before at the very last minute. Before walking into the studio, while parking my car, I realized that I accidentally forgot my yoga mat at home. So, as I entered the studio, I was happy when the yoga teacher handed me a yoga mat to borrow after I told her that I forgot mine at home. VINYASA CLASS -- I checked the class schedule and I believe took the "In Studio - All Levels" class. The instructor Mel D. led the class. As a teacher, she used great cues that allowed the students to flow from one yoga pose to the next. This class wasn't difficult for me but even though it appeared to be a beginner level class, I still enjoyed the challenge of holding poses such as downward facing dog. YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTION (In Studio - All Levels Class) -- "Flow classes focus on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness, inviting the body to move with increased awareness and ease. During this class we will incorporate several modifications to accommodate physical limitations or to make poses more challenging." Hope yoga has locations in Westlake and Fairview Park. What an amazing, grass roots type of studio, that truly goes against the large class size culture…read morethat dominates the Pilates scene in the rest of the NE Ohio area. The instructors at this studio are truly incredible - they challenge you but make sure you feel comfortable and able along the way. The equipment is great and having the Cadillac reformers for all class attendees is a huge plus and something you don't see at other studios! They haven't created an "unlimited package" option which some may dislike but I think it helps to make the classes more accessible for attending and I personally love it. They are able to keep their prices reasonable as well which is a rarity in the industry. The best thing about this studio compared to other studios I've attended is that they truly make your time in class "worthwhile" -- and they use the equipment. I never feel like I leave wishing I did more and there isn't much time spent doing things you could do at home on a mat which is truly the point of being in the class and having access to the reformer. Traditional Pilates is a low energy class but Reformer Pilates is different. The total body burn is a fast-paced class that moves from one position to the next and works your full body. The class is done on a Reformer machine which has resistance bands incorporated on it for lengthening your arms and legs and building core muscles. I have been dying to try reformer Pilates and this class made me wish I had started sooner! This studio is so new, very clean, and just very pretty!! Before we started the instructor did a little crash course on what the reformer was and parts we'll be using and needed to know! I took a classic Pilates class (again because it was my first time) - perfect for a beginner, I could follow and understand what was happening and what to do, yet it was still challenging enough to where I felt a pretty good workout!! (Don't forget your grippy socks!!! If you do though, they sell some in store!!) They do have their prices posted on their app, but here are a few: - First timer $35 for 2 classes - Drop in class $35 Monthly Memberships: - $115 for 4 classes - $164 for 6 classes - $215 for 8 classes - $255 for 10 classes - $355 for 31classes (Basically the more you buy the cheaper the classes are!!)
