They were told they could bring in their own alcohol, sodas and water. However, 4 days before the wedding they were told they couldn't bring water & sodas. The guest have to pay for them their!! The bride didn't want certain decorations, but the people said they weren't moving them!! The day of the reception it was very warm in the building and especially in the VIP room upstairs. I went outside to get my bag that had my change of clothes, phone charger, meds etc... I put 4 half drank bottles of water in my bag. When I entered the building a Hispanic woman approached me and asked me what was in my bag. I started to tell her and she grabbed my bag to look inside!! How rude!! She then said I couldn't bring in my water. I asked why. She told me I had to buy the water. I told her I wasn't buying any water when I have my own. I then took my water back to my car and returned to the building. That Gestopo woman came rushing up to me to look in my bag AGAIN!! I told her that I didn't have any water! I left it in my car. She grabbed my bag and started going through it! I told her "it's my clothes, my panties, my socks, my charger & meds!" She let go and said "It's policy." I walked off and went up stairs. I told the wedding party about her. I was so mad! Around 9:00pm several of us noticed it started getting hot inside. I thought it was me, but I saw other people fanning themselves. We all came to the conclusion that the people of the place turned up the ac. They made it so uncomfortable that people were leaving. The place was rented until 1:00am!! I left after 10:30pm. It was too hot in there for me!! Did you know that this place used to be a strip club? Sure did! LOL!! Don't rent this place out.

Cathy Is the event coordinator and once you give her your party theme she makes it happen. She has many party packages to chose from. The place was freezing when we arrived. We closed the doors to the chapel because of this hoping it would warm up and because of the noise. The microphone did not work at all inside the chapel and nobody from the venue came to check things out. After the ceremony we were ushered into the reception hall which was very nicely decorated. They advised us that there was fruit but when we went up, there were no plates and were told we could not use the cups that were there because they were for the coffee that they were going to serve but never came out until after dinner. There wasn't enough fruit for 50 people so I don't know what they were thinking. Dinner was good and it was hot when served. Some people got salad and others did not. Some took awhile to be served but overall the food was good. They served 1 medium sized pitcher of sweet tea per table of 8 and never refilled the pitcher. Only 3 people could drink out of a pitcher. As a guest I gave 5 stars because the main things for a guest were good for the most part but I do agree with others that the servers need better attitudes or should stay home. I don't know what the bride and groom paid or what they paid for but as a guest I thought this event was good. The DJ was good and played good music for everyone. The cake looked nice too. I'd have to check out their pricing in order to comment on anything else but again, as a guest it was nice.

We eventually asked if there was a solution, and the staff came out to squeegee the courts so we could continue playing. I do want to give credit where it's due, the staff handled the situation well once we brought it to their attention. They extended our court time, allowed us about 30 extra minutes indoors while we waited, and even gave us coupons to come back another day. That level of customer service was appreciated. Despite the weather hiccup, we had a really enjoyable Father's Day and would definitely return. Hopefully they'll develop a more streamlined plan for rainy days, but overall it's a fun venue with good food and a great atmosphere!

She blame the vendor and the people who own the building. But she was the owner of Royal Place. She took no accountability. Just told her she was sorry for the unforeseen incident ( air condition not working properly). I've never seen a business owner not take responsibility of issue that occur under their management. My nieces had a contract with Royal Place not the food vender in which they supplied. There was several issue that nite. So a long story short I wouldn't recommend this place. Poor management
