The hype is real, y'all!!! Cultured is phenomenal, we loved their bagels and egg Kimchi bowl. The kimchi was not too spicy and was perfect for breakfast. The staff is so nice and despite the long line, they were patient, gave us time to pick out our food. I loved the cozy ambience and space filled with light and conversation. Its a perfect cafe for door county

Worth the wait and money! We waited in line for around 15-20 minutes but it was worth it. I recommend going as soon as they open to avoid waiting. Savory bagel was the best bagel I've ever had. It was perfectly toasted, salmon was not fishy, other toppings were perfectly seasoned as well. Mayak egg bowl was amazing too. I didn't like sweet bagel as much as savory. Highly recommend savory bagel and mayak egg bowl. We ended up eating in the car due to there being many customers but it was a cute little shop and they sell other canned/tinned fish too. Would definitely go again when I visit Door County again.

Visiting Door County in the fall. This spot caught my eye on Yelp. It's a bakery with a simple menu. Mostly folks just grabbed the baked goods and headed out. I ordered the veggie bagel on a toasted everything. It is topped with tomato &garlic cream cheese, a tomato on slice, thin cuke slices, pickled carrot chips and very thin sliced pickled garlic. It was unique and full of flavor. The bagel choices are slim and don't expect a NY bagel. But the taste is....cultured. And the friendly Midwest service is a stark contrast to the NYC brash counter help. Worth a visit. Oh, skip the coffee. Not the best.

Wow! Just stopped in and this place was amazing I had the breakfast Sammy on an asiago bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese and it was so delicious. We also grabbed a loaf of the jalapeno bread and a ginger rhubarb and strawberry turnover and they are all perfect. So flaky and tasty with all the flavors. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in door county!

We got a whitefish open face and the pickled veggie bagel and both were absolutely delicious. We had to get some bagels to take home too because YUM!

Worth the wait!! I love the breakfast sandwich and the focaccia (and, of course, the loaves of sourdough).

Likely the best bakery in Door County. Have to show up early and wait in line, but it will be worth it!

This Sister Bay icon…read morehas been part of my Door County trips since I was in high school, and all these years later, I still love coming back. Yes, you're probably going to wait for a table -- just expect it and enjoy the experience! Once you're seated and place your order, though, the food comes out amazingly fast. You can't go wrong with the authentic Swedish pancakes and lingonberries, and I think you get a great meal for the price. I also tried the Swedish Sangria made with Brut, Swedish Glogg & Fruit this time, and it was tasty! And then there are the famous goats on the grass-covered roof! Unfortunately, we arrived a little too late in the day and apparently the goats had already called it quits. We even walked around back looking for them! No goats, but we did get to see their little staircase leading up to the roof. Next time, we'll have to get there earlier! Whatever you do, don't leave without visiting the gift shop aka Butik! Give yourself some time because there is SO much to look at -- Door County souvenirs, clothing, ornaments, home decor, gifts and plenty of Al Johnson's goodies to take home. We loaded up on Swedish pancake mix, cinnamon sugar, Door County cherry jam and gifts for family and friends. I think I spent almost 45 minutes in there! After coming here for more years than I'm going to admit, Al Johnson's is still one of those quintessential Door County experiences. Come for the Swedish pancakes, look for the goats, browse the gift shop and enjoy a little piece of Door County tradition.

Food is good and it's fun to have the Swedish pancakes with lingonberry jam. Gift shop on site with lots of Scandinavian products and Al Johnson items, including goat mementos.
