But the view of the lake from the panoramic windows is fantastic, especially at sunset. The food was actually quite good. I had a half rack of ribs that were tender, perfectly cooked, and had a perfect sauce. My wife's pear and goat cheese salad with salmon was solid as well. The service was OK. It was just one server hanging the whole floor. And even though there were only a few tables seated, they were spread a little thin.

We loved hearing the history behind the fish boil and watching it come to life at the Old Post Office Restaurant! The dinner and experience was very reasonably priced at $30 per person and they offer options of fried chicken or ribs for those that don't care for fish. I'm (personally) not a big fish lover but I had to at least try it and it wasn't too bad! Dinner is also served with 3 different types of bread and a slice of delicious cherry pie! (Cherries are grown all over the peninsula). We sat outside on the front porch and watched the sun slowly set and the sky fill up with brilliant colors as we finished our dinner. I left with both my belly and heart as full as possible! We enjoyed the restaurant so much that I wanted to stop by on our way out of town, the last day, and try out their breakfast menu. I splurged and ordered the fresh cherry pancakes with a side of one egg and bacon. I planned to just eat half of my pancakes but I almost devoured them completely!
