We came here for our daughter's dental treatment with Dr.Abdi. My daughter has really wiggly tooth and was scared of pulling it out. Dr.Abdi patiently waited for her to calm down and even made a different appointment with a female doctor so that my child will feel more comfortable. They also have a little toy as a gift if kids do good job afterwards. Such a kind treatment and highly recommended this place especially if you have small kids. read more

This is the worst dental office on planet earth. I repeat: THIS IS THE WORST DENTAL OFFICE ON PLANET EARTH!!! I had a root canal done nine years ago and my crown fell out. This place promised me a lifetime warranty if I ever needed servicing with the root canal. I spent over $12,000 dollars here and when I returned, I was informed ownership changed and that I needed to fill out new forms. Then, I waited almost an hour before I met the dentist who seemed nice enough till I discovered that he lied to me! This dentist told I needed dental implants and that he would not re-attach the tooth that fell out. Then, I got a second opinion and discovered that all that needed to be done was to replace the crown!!! no implant needed. This place just wants the money. After they are done with you, you're history. Most everyone here at culver dental are severely lacking in human dignity. They do not value the customer. He spent one minute talking to me and misdiagnosed me! Which makes me wonder: how many other screw ups occur on a daily basis at this ridiculous place. They use dental technology from like the 1960s-I kid you not! Oh and the other root canal I did....well that tooth got infected and I had that tooth pulled! Nice job morons! Listen,,,if you are on medi-cal and have no other options, this place will keep you alive but watch out people,,,,scams galore are the modus operandi of this establishment. read more

I can only speak on my experience and this place is amazing. The dentist has been a life saver back to back every single time I go. You can't judge a book by its cover. The building and such is not the greatest but this mans skills is un-comparable. I've been to a lot of other dentists in the area who lied and tried to get me to do more then I needed. I myself have mediCAL and even with that being a target over my head he has never tried to get me to do things that I don't need done. Even with some botched teeth from past dentist he has been able to prevent me from having to pull them. Not to mention that they give all children toys every visit. That is awesome. You can read all the reviews and make a decision for yourself but take it from me. This is the best dentist that I have ever been to in years. He is an expert and knows what he is doing. Honestly don't even waste your time coming here. They say the appointment is at a certain time then when you arrive to the office they won't even see you till 30-40 mins after! If you want to be here all day & wait to be seen for less than 20mins then this is your place. Their understaffed & they don't realize they should scheduled enough people so they can be seen quick! This place is crap! I went there for a normal check up, found five cavities...cool. Filled three one day, came back for the two on the other side a few days later. No biggie. First of all, the office looks dirty, the children's room is full of video games and toys that offer no learning value. They take their sweet time to call you in for your appointment. The exam room is a tiny slit in the wall, and they have about three different people working on you, but none of them know what the other has already done or what they need to do. Almost 6 months went by, when one of the molars they filled developed a large hole...ON THE SIDE...yes, I had a hole on the side of my tooth. Went in there for them to fix it, "sure, no problem" they said. First attempt, "sorry, the doctor who did the original work isn't here." Why the appointment then? Second appointment, after an hour in the waiting room..."sorry, the doctor is with a difficult patient." you couldn't tell me this 45 minutes ago? Third times the charm...finally fixed my tooth in what only took 20 minutes...another one of their doctors was willing to do the work the first day I went but policies didn't let him. All in all, I had a hole in the side of my molar for 3 weeks. THREE WEEKS!!! read more

I feel like an idiot for 1) not reading the reviews on here first 2) not walking out My cleaning consisted of brushing my teeth, and fluoride. NO FLOSSING, NO PICKING FOR BUILT UP PLAQUE!! I can brush my own teeth at home. They also argued over which tray was mine, and I got moved chairs 3 times before I was seen by a "hygienist". The staff was clueless, I was asked what I needed when I got to the back, they should know I was there for a cleaning. Unreal. Do these people have their licenses? I told my Insurance I will need another cleaning, since brushing my teeth for a cleaning... doesn't count. I also told my insurance they shouldn't be paid for this kind of service! Really bad service, I have to wait for more than 5 hours until they called me in, everytime when I came it was really crowded and they would yell at the reception and blame her for everything. The owner wont take responsibility. When I got my brace I got hurt got deep cut and broken brackets and they would just take it off and not give me anything for the pain. They also change the orthodontists 3 times and still they would take to long. read more

Culver City Dental must be the worst office I have ever encountered. I currently have a lovely dentist, but I've recently been on the hunt for a dentist closer to home. Thus I came across this office during my search. My experience began when I called the front desk with a couple of questions concerning what their rates are for certain services. The attitude of the staff was unbelievably cold. I spoke with both Nancy and Nichelle who were dishonest and incredibly rude. I have nothing bad to say about the dentist because I never got that far. Unfortunately, I am now a lost customer due to the treatment I received from the front desk staff. I highly suggest to anyone who is considering this office to "look elsewhere". read more

Dang I guess Im the only one that had a decent experience here. I had a hole in my front tooth. They did a filling. The dentist was joking around and his Dental assistant was talking about how he went to school and loans which some ppl might find it unprofessional but to me it kept me sane from being in a chair with my mouth open for an hour. Pretty friendly receptionist. They told me I needed a lot of work done but I told them I could only pay this and they didn't push or anything but they did clarify the importance of getting my other "dental needs" done. Got out of there a happy camper because I didnt have a whole in my tooth anymore diditn take that long and I drove my self home without any pain. Which by the way the dentist did keep asking me if i was ok? if i felt any pain and if i wanted to rest. and it is a old office because I remember coming here when I was a kid. Horrible experience today. Showed up at 2:40 for a 3pm appointment. Finally got called back at 3:30 by someone who never bothered to introduce himself or what his role was. He placed a lead apron over me, so I assumed X-rays. Took over ten X-rays (this many was a first, and I've seen multiple dentists in multiple states). Led me to an "exam room," where I continued to wait until 4:05, after which I was led to another room "to see the doctor," who spoke over my head to X-ray tech in some sort of code language. I asked him what he was saying - told me I have cavities that need to be filled (X-Ray tech stood over and agreed) and when can I have them filled. I've always had a clean bill of dental health, so this came as a shock. The dentist who also never bothered to introduce himself immediately called in the office manager "to speak to me." Office manager introduced herself as Lois Evans and offered an appointment with someone else in the same clinic as 2nd opinion. Nobody ever bothered to actually talk to me and answer my medical questions. Even worse, they never even cleaned my teeth, which was my only reason for going there in the first place! Shabby decor, poor communication, disorganized and worst of all, POOR BEDSIDE MANNER. read more

After reading some reviews I was very skeptical about this place but I had no choice because it's the closest to me. Best decision ever. Everything went so smooth. I am one of the most judgemental people (my flaw) so for me to give it a 5 star should tell you a lot . The front desk was very friendly and helpful , the Dr was very carefull and patient with me. If I can give this horrible place a zero star, I would! Just came back from a second opinion from another dental office because I was not sure about this dentist at culver west. I had schedule an appointment to see the dentist when I arrived to this office, my first impression was bad, I wanted to walk out , but I was already in.Let me start by saying that the office is really filthy, I walked in the game room and you can see spider webs behind the cabinets then to my surprise I went in the restroom and it had a really bad smell of urine, not what a dental office should smell like.As I waited to be called the assistant calls me in ( did not asked me how I was doing or nothing) I guess he was having a bad day.When they sat me in the room, next to me was a bunch of old boxes piled in the corner ( very unproffesional) as I waited, the dentist walks in, at that moment he looked rushed as if he had other people that been waiting for a long time to be seen. He did a quick teeth cleaning as if he was rushing, then all he told me was that I was cavity free? I was like what? I have discomfort pain?? he said just to brush and rinse with salt water?? really?? So I decided to go get a second opinion with dr. kim located on pico blvd, he was able to detect my problem and took care of it the same day! This place was terrible - I took my kids (my daughter is 3 and my son is 6) they didn't want me to come in with my daughter...!! Seriously, how and why am I going to let you take my 3 year old behind LOCKED doors - how is she going to tell you what is ok and not ok to do! The place looks old and dirty... the cleaning that was done on my kids was lust brushing their teeth with an electric tooth brush.... I will not be going back there at all - our appointment was at 9am and we didn't leave there till 11:30 - this was JUST for cleaning the kids teeth and filling in three minor cavities. OH and not to mention their strap the child down policy... they were trying to get me to sign this waiver that gave them the right to strap my kids down if at anytime they refused to cooperate with them or freaked during the treatment - TALK ABOUT CHILD ABUSE! I've been coming to this dentist since I was around 10 years old (I'm 22 now). The previous doctor was a delight and was super sweet. The current doctor and staff continue to have the same service and care for their patients as the previous doctor. Since I've been coming with my family for years, the receptionist asks about my family and checking in. The doctors and dental assistants know what they're doing. They always check in when they're doing work on my teeth to make sure I'm not in pain. The wait time is reasonable. It's like any other medical office wait time. I read the review where someone complained about children "running around and being loud" in the wait room. Children acting the way they act is not the dentist's fault. They can not control the children. I see the staff and dentists interact with the children and they are super sweet and kind. This dentist is lovely and wonderful. If you can, come here for the dentist. read more

This place is horrible. This place is unprofessional and disrespectful. I had to go there due to an emergency or else I would have never went there. After you have signed in they move you room to room and they send the assistants (not hygienist) to look at your teeth. I had to come in twice because they did such a horrible job the first time. They had me come in on my lunch break just to tell me that the dentist had another appointment. Then they said can you please come back at 6pm so he can help you (that was their way of apologizing). I went back at 6pm and they had no idea what was going on. After seeing four assistants the so called "Office Manager" comes in to ask the same questions the rest had already asked to look at my teeth. That is when I had it and I asked if she was the Dentist. She said "no but I am the office manager", then I said "I am sorry but I need to see the dentist you guys have me going in circles and have not done anything". Then she decides to snap and say "she has to go". I was like "excuse me aren't you supposed to be professional and take care of your clients." She kept on going running her mouth in front of her "Staff" and Clients. Then she has the audacity to say "I am off at 7 meet me outside." Who says that at a business. I asked who ran the business and no one was able to give me any answers. The dentist could not give me any information because his staff kept speaking over him. He is being run by these unprofessional women that have no experience in dentistry. I asked who's degree was on the wall (trying to get a name) and it happened to be the dentist father who had passed away years ago. It made question if he even had an American degree. The tools he used on me were so old and not up to date. They really need someone to come and inspect the place and run everyone license and certificates. No Office Manager nor MA should be looking or touching your teeth. They will say that you need other work done just to make money. I have insurance and I am fully covered all they want is to make money. My regular dentist had already seen me a few months ago and everything was fine no extra work needed. I only had to go there due to an emergency before I left out of town and my dentist was all jammed up. Trust me my dentist is a professional, he is an alumni and teaches at UCLA. He is well up to date in the Dentistry industry. This place is unprofessional, dirty, and no communication. The worst, do not go there. If you walk in the place and look at their tools that should give you a hint of how behind they are in dentistry. Go somewhere else. This doesn't even deserve a rate. read more

Save yourself and your mouth by staying the heck away from this place!!! I went to Culver Westside Dental Group because I had a very painful impacted wisdom tooth that needed to be taken out asap and this place got me the soonest appointment. The exam and x-rays went ok, they give me Motrin for the pain and told me to come back in two weeks for the extraction and that it would only cost $140. That price seemed waaay too cheap so I even asked if they were sure, and the front desk person said yes. A few days go by, I've been taking the Motrin and that doesn't help, so I call and ask if I can get something stronger. The woman says she can't find my file and says she will call me back in 5 minutes. An hour goes by, no call. I call back and they say they'll talk to the doctor and call me back in an hour. Once again, they don't call back. I call again the next day, and they say they're sorry and that they will call back this time, but of course nobody ever does. The fact that nobody would ever return my calls should have been a big red flag, but I was in a lot of pain and desperate at this point to get the tooth out that I just let it fly. Anyway.. now to the actual day of surgery: My appointment was supposed to be at 1pm. They call me at 12:15 and say that the doctor is running behind and ask if I could come in at 3 instead. I reluctantly say yes, and show up at 3. Then of course, they say the dentist who I first met with "misdiagnosed" me and that it was going to cost $290 instead. (I was already anticipating that was going to happen so I brought extra money.) So then they call me in, and it's some dentist who I hadn't seen before. I say hello, trying to be nice, and he just ignores me and is going on to his helpers about where his gloves are. The entire procedure took only about 15 minutes. Then they give me some gauze and a piece of paper saying what to do post-surgery, and then say "Ok, that's it" and shoo me out the door. I must have been in some kind of daze or shock.. I don't know.. but as soon as I got up and the blood rushed to my head it started hurting excruciatingly. I'm crying as they walk me to the waiting room and tell my boyfriend to have me wait in there for 10 minutes until I have calmed down. This is very embarrassing to say the least... Here I am in the waiting room with a puffy face crying with everyone looking at me. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Anyway, my boyfriend goes through the papers they gave me while I'm sitting there, and finds that they've given me another prescription for more Motrin. He then goes up to the desk and says, "She's already called before and said the Motrin doesn't help. Can't you give her Vicodin?" Then they say that they can't legally prescribe Vicodin. My bf says what kind of place can perform surgery but can't prescribe Vicodin? That's unlike anything he's heard and from anyone who I've since talked to has either. But anyway, I'm just ready to get out of there at that point so we leave. We both feel like they're lying about something, so he asks another dentists office what they would do in that situation and they say, yes, they do prescribe Vicodin. He calls Culver Westide Dental back to tell them about this, they ask to put me on the phone, and then they start treating me like I'm just trying to get pills from them!! Sorry but I just had a wisdom tooth cut out of my mouth! I have plenty of other teeth you can take out if you think that's all I'm after. I'm very, very offended by this and tell them I won't be going back there to get my stitches taken out. I make an appointment at another dentist office. (Dr. Silvera.. he was great!) The new office calls Culver Westside Dental to get my x-rays, and what do ya know... they refused to release them! Horrible, hoooooorrible experience! read more

these people are crazy! receptionist tells you one thing, doctor tells you something different. poor communication - I don't even know if the doctor knows what he is seeing you for when he meets with you. I've never seen him look at my chart. Receptionist tells you a life story when booking appointments of how much work they have to do in order to "squeeze you in". Let me start off by saying my 7 year old was terrified of the dentist prior to her visit with culver westside dental group. Thanks to Culver Westside Dental my little one is no longer afraid of the dentist. I cannot thank my daughters dentist and her lovely assistant (dental hygienist) enough for their services. They were warm, professional, and very patient. I was really impressed with the kid-friendly methods they used during my daughter's dental procedure. Unlike many pediatric dentist offices I was not denied entry into the exam room. I was allowed to stay and comfort my daughter during her procedure. The dentist took her time and appreciated me asking questions. I traveled over 100 miles to see my daughters wonderful dentist and her assistant. I will continue to travel over 100 miles every 6 months for their services. Many dentist claim to specialize in pediatric dentistry but lack the patience and expertise needed to work with kids. This dental group is awesome with kids and I highly recommend them! read more
