I ed your place back when Dr Fox was there. Everyone was awesome then. Now, you have Dr Omar that was non apologetic when I told him to please not carelessly poke my gums so hard and to clean UNDER the gums without hurting me. He told me to book with someone else because he normally doesn't clean teeth. It felt like he doesn't like doing it! Afterwards, it feels like he didn't even clean my teeth! The dental assistant was lovely and so was the receptionist that sits on the left. The one on the right had rude energy, like she was being bothered when I asked about something that I needed to initial and sign. Scam dentist The front desk lady in charges sneakily makes you sign up for a credit agencies to get money out of you. Example I got wisdom tooth removed and she said I'd need a tooth plug made of bone graft after only one back tooth was removed and all they did was put a normal plug and no bone graft and was stuck with a $500 credit bill when I didn't receive what she told me I'd receive. There is no transgender identity on the information application so I was told to create one. I went in for a check up because I have not been to a dentist for years. I checked in at 11:15 and my appointment was at 11:30. Overall every employee from the front office and dentistry workers treated me with respect. Worst experience, I am 58 years old and moved back to the area after 30 years and looking for a dentist close by that accepts my insurance. This place was expensive even with my insurance. They are like used car salesman. I had inlay custom fit and came out of pocket 4k from the first visit ,on my next visit they demanded 1200 or they wouldn't put them in. I said finish the work and I will pay the balance. No we cant see you today! I came for a cleaning, I left without a cleaning. They spent more time trying to sell invisaline rather than doing what I came to do. They recommended a serious 10,000 cleaning rather than giving me a normal cleaning- refused a normal cleaning. Ridiculous. To make matters even worse their facility was not clean. Avoid this place at all costs! This was by far the most horrifying dental experience of my life. As a new patient, I was forced to sit in the waiting area for over an hour--just to get a basic exam and try to schedule a cleaning. Meanwhile, I had to witness the receptionist rudely disrespect an elderly man who was desperately trying to get care. Then, unbelievably, the same thing happened to me. The receptionist flat-out refused to help me schedule my next appointment and treated me like I didn't even exist. The complete lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic human decency in this office is unforgivable. Making a somewhat long appointment, involving a temporary crown, and a deep cleaning, feel not so long. if you have to go to the dentist, ( we all do at sometime or other...) if you live in the neighborhood, go here. I went to this dentist almost 20 years ago when I moved to the marina. After a cleaning and x-rays, I was presented with a list of almost $10,000 in dental work they said I needed. After feeling chills run down my spine, I left without making another appointment and for the next 20 years, drove 75 miles round trip to my old dentist who was honest but has recently retired. I showed him the list of the work Marina Dentistry wanted to do, and he became upset and said I needed NONE of the work, and to this day I still haven't had that work, and still have all my teeth with no pain or any other symptoms of dental problems. Fast forward 20 years, I just joined Delta Dental HMO and was assigned Marina Dentistry. I'd forgotten about my first visit, but then all the memories started coming back, and after checking their Yelp "one star" reviews, this dental office hasn't changed at all. Had an appointment at 11:30 we came early like 11:07am. Wait till 12:00 still waiting. So why do you need an appointment? This screw up all the other appointment for the day. Cause more trouble for me. So no cost of our waiting time? Also smell in there is hight into toxic cleaning, putting toxic in our lung and wall cells of the nose. Highly recommend Mask. Maybe because I have state insurance, maybe because I'm brown skinned, I don't know, don't care. Very few dentist accept state insurance. They don't pay well. This office has a high turn over. Each time I've gone, there's a different hygienist. The last time I went, I brought my teens with me. Again with the rudeness at the front desk. Again with a different hygienist. Then, you will be herded into the billing room where a marketing woman will talk so fast about what you need to pay upfront--your head will spin. Let's keep in mind, your insurance covers more than you think--could they be trying to double bill? You may even need a physical therapist to fix your neck from that spin. How do I know this? I saw another Dentist afterwards, that not only told me I didn't need certain things, but what I did need was covered. The staff is sort of rude--or should I say, unfriendly. I went for a routine preventative check about 7 months ago. I had some pain in my right and left molars. The cleaning experience went well, but it went downhill from there. Dr. G evaluated my teeth and recommended I get 3 crowns and a mouth guard. They told me it's mostly covered by my insurance and put me on a payment plan. I went forward with her recommendation thinking they actually know what they're talking about. I waited about a month after the procedure. The pain would not go away. Came in again: They told me it takes about 2 months before the pain goes away. It's been 7 months. I have a HEAVY bill because insurance only covered 5% of my entire bill, and the pain has worsened. I cannot chew with one side because of the pain. Absolutely terrible experience. Seems like they care more about making money than about actually helping and treating their patients. Her suggestions for my next steps were easy to take seriously because she cares about the health of my teeth, not selling me expensive, cosmetic procedures. Sadly, I agree with the negative reviews. I recently switched to Marina Dentistry because of my insurance. When I tried to schedule my annual cleaning, they said I needed to get an exam, then schedule a separate appointment for my cleaning. Both of which took 1 month+ out to schedule. Then, when my exam was complete, the dr said everything looked ok and that I was ready to schedule my cleaning. The front desk then said I needed to schedule a "deep clean", which cost $400+. I assumed this was because it had been over a year since my last cleaning, so I said I'd like to do the regular cleaning, which was covered by my insurance. Then, when I returned and checked in for my cleaning appointment, I was given a waiver that said that the dr. had found gum disease and that I understood this when I neglected to pursue the "deep clean" appointment. Not a single person explained this to me. It felt like they were just trying to get more $$ out of me! Now I'm looking to change my dental coverage to a different provider to get a second opinion on my gums, which I have never had a problem with before. Big pain! The dental hygienist was very sweet, but it felt like a rushed, not gentle cleaning. Their tools and products (fluoride, etc.) seem very out of date compared to my last office. I've been going here for years. While nothing special, it was always good enough. Until recently. I was scheduled for a deep cleaning and quoted a reaonsable amount. After it was done, I was provided another bill and was told my insurance didn't cover all of it and that the number they told me I would pay was only a "quote" although that's not how it was communicated. THEN I came in for another regular cleaning the following year and was handed another bill. When questioning why I recieved a bill for just a cleaning, usually covered by insurance, I was told that because I had the deep cleaning I now would be insured differently and have to pay out of pocket for all cleanings moving forward. All of this would have been understandable if it was explained to me prior and not bamboozling me with all of this one step at a time. It's the dentists job to explain what is being done and any implications. Not sure if this was a matter of bad staffing or bad management, but after going here for years I'll now be going to a different dentist that I have more trust in. I no longer believe that this place isn't running me for insurance money they can get. Only giving 1 star for the years prior that it had been good. read more

I just had my second cleaning and it was incredible, quite possibly the smoothest cleaning I've ever had. Gentle yet thorough. 'Jose' was meticulous and amazing. Ask for him if you can. Next, I had a consultation with 'Dr Guirguis'. This is the second time I've seen her. She is delightful. Smart, incredibly knowledgable and just really nice. She took another look at a crown that my last dentist had screwed up. She explained the problem with the tooth, my options for fixing it, and what will likely happen if I wait too long. Very simple straighforward, no-nonsense, here's-what-you-need-to-do information. Ask for her if you can as well! And the staff, who have helped me with my appointments have been great all along -- from scheduling/reminding to getting me in quickly during my appointments. I've never had to wait long. read more
