Okay, I came back sooner than I expected due to family members wanting to do so. However, I am bumping it up a star... I had the Sourdough Melt (double) and fries. The melt was very good, as were the fries, both of which came to our table hot and fresh. The better half ordered onion rings again and I tasted one. I and a good friend of mine were visiting a mutual friend who lives in the city of Davenport. I had heard a lot about Culver's and was excited when I noticed one about 1.5 miles from her home. We each ordered two double butter burgers and a vanilla custard, shared an order of fries and an order of cheese curds. THE GREAT - Wow! We loved our burgers, and the fries were cooked perfectly! The custard was good, maybe a tad sweet but worth getting. The drive thru service was friendly and accommodating! THE just OK - I'm not the biggest fan of cheese curds, but I do appreciate them. My problem was with the batter; it was just too salty. I wouldn't get this next time. We are both native New Yorkers (I now live in Los Angeles) and never heard of Culver's until recently. We have always had great service in the Posner location of Culver's and this time was no exception. Although it was busy the food was out quickly and made fresh. The burgers always taste great and the fries are hot. The custard is something I always come back for and love to try different flavour combinations with my mix-ins! Okay, let's get into it! Location- When I tell you that accessing this location is a NIGHTMARE, it truly is! The congestion in this shopping center is genuinely problematic at best. Service- Always good service, very much a close comparison to Chick-fil-A, even down to the my pleasure when you say thank you. Products- they have a great variety of food. But I have yet to try the entire menu. Taste- the burgers, which is my go-to. It is a hit or miss. The fully loaded ( all the fixings) burger was well-seasoned and flavorful on my first visit. However, on my 3rd and 4th visits, the burger was basic and underseasoned, lacking flavor even with all the fixings. Overall - they have a great variety of food. They are known for their ice cream and make their batches for sale in their store. Also, from what I saw, they may also get shipped in from other local locations. my first and last experience with Culver's for food, I'll stick to the frozen custard. My order to go of fish and chips was a hot mess. The fish was floating in a sea of grease, the fries needed more cooking and were soaked in the grease as well. This was a huge disappointment as I come from New England and have tasted some of the best fish and chips around, never had it full of oil on the bottom of the container. This visit was the first time for so many things...First time eating inside a Culver's, first time eating a meal vs a sweet treat and first time visiting this new location. We were out running some errands and decided to grab a quick bite before heading home. Instead of going through the drive thru I suggest we go inside. I had never been in a Culver's so I wasn't sure what to expect. To me the dining area felt homey, it is broken up by walls as opposed to being a large open area. The counter was very nice and had easy to read menu boards. The person who took our order was either new or had no interest in ever learning the menu items as when we asked questions she didn't really know the answer. We placed our order, grabbed our drinks and found a seat. At Culver's they give you a number and deliver your food to your table. It took about 10 minutes or so for the food to arrive. When it did it was missing a soup. The Assistant Manager who brought out the food apologized and quickly brought out the soup. I ordered a double Culver's Deluxe Butterbuger, minus the tomatoes, made it a combo and changed the fries to onion rings. My burger was so good, perfect temperature, great flavor, and the right meat to bun ratio. The onion rings were good, nothing special or overly exciting. My wife ordered a double Wisconsin Swiss Melt, and she loved it. She made her meal a combo as well and went with the Potato with Bacon Soup. So...the soup has major potential but this night that potential was gone. The soup that we were served was so thick you could actually turn the cup upside down and nothing would fall out, yup this is actually a soup and not a blizzard from a competitor. It had a decent flavor to it but was way too salty. We made someone aware and they sincerely apologized and replaced it with a different side. We will definitely be back to check out other items. I am a fan of culvers burgers but never tried the fish and chips. Opted for the North Pacific Cod Dinner which consists of 3 pcs of fish, dinner roll, coleslaw. I replaced the crinkled fries to onion rings with a $1 upcharge. The eating lobby was quite messy few tables were not cleaned / wiped so it was a search to find a place to seat and enjoy the meal. Meal is delivered to your table with the table number you are given once you leave the cashier. The fish was cooked to golden and the crust batter is thin which leads to crunchy batter and light. The fish was firm. Slightly overcooked in my opinion but still seasoned well nonetheless. Onion rings are thinly sliced to whole onion and lightly battered and was crispy. Delicious onion rings. Coleslaw was ok. KFC coleslaw is better. Didn't try the dinner roll because I felt it would fill me up before I finish the fish. Culvers is Wisconsin based food franchise. They are known for butter burgers and fried cheese curds and the frozen custards. For the price of the fish and chips of $14 ish - I rather spend it to Gordon Ramsey Fish and Chips. read more

I am so happy they have this new Culver's here! My favorite go to items are: any burger and fries! They are famously known for their shakes but their food is delicious. I love their crinkle fries so much! This restaurant is new so it is clean and employees seem friendly so far! This is a newly opened location and I had a chance to stop through the drive-thru. I only got a butterburger with cheese and a medium order of cheese curds. I mean really if you're going to stop at Culver's you have to get the cheese curds. For me they are one of the best reasons to go there. My meal was prepared correctly and tasted great. Food was good. My issue is with the assistant manager who decided to scream at an employee in front of the guests and other employees then decided to send her home because of the managers stress. Then blamed it on the girl being nowhere to be found. This girl who she yelled at was a minor who was one of 2 other people in ponchos doing orders in the rain. She was beyond nice and seemingly hard working. Regardless of why she was sent home it was done completely inappropriately considering the girl who was sent home/fired was calm about the situation even while on the verge of tears and being screamed at. My heart goes out to this girl. I can't remember this managers name but she had no remorse for the situation when I told her it should've been handled differently and only apologized we heard. We won't be going back now just knowing how it's ran. And it wasn't just this employee she said numerous others had been yelled at (not a good thing!) and every employee there seemed scared and sad. I'm actually disappointed that Yelp makes me give this Culvers a 1 star. If it was up to me they would get 0 out of 5. I have had repeated messed up orders, waited 45 minutes for ice cream one time in the drive thru as others got the orders, when I went inside only to find my ice cream already made sitting in a freezer, and no apology. But the worst part is that I've made several attempts through email and in person to speak to the owner and he has not even tried to reach out to me. My family was super excited about this Culvers as it is in our neighborhood, but now everyone around us knows to avoid it and take our business elsewhere. First time to a Culver's. Not impressed. It was very busy so you would expect something good. That not what happened. I had the Curderbuger. After a 17 minute wait it was cold on the bottom and the burger was extremely thin and dry. The cruder cheese was hard and not soft as you would expect. My wife had the single butter burger.
