I stopped here for lunch. This was my first visit to Whataburger. I used the drive thru and found it easy and efficient. My order was ready quickly and my meal was freshly made and served hot. Ok, so a burger certainly isn't new to me, but the guys at Whataburger know what they are doing! The Decatur location is fairly new, but the staff and management show that they want to maintain a high reputation with their customers. Sign says the Lobby is open 24/7. It is not. It is open very rarely after dark. Lately, we've been stopping there after work and are told that they are "DOORDASH ONLY". Some nights, the lobby lights are on and the doors are locked -- still with the big sign saying the lobby is open 24/7 the whole time. Some nights, the lights are off. Even when they are open, there is all sorts of playing around and goofing off. Last night, there were multiple cars in the parking lot with stereos blasting... with TWO EMPLOYEES outside talking, joking, laughing, & hanging out with the people in those cars... all the while, we are told that they are closed to everyone except "DOORDASH" because they don't have enough people. I guess you truly HAVE TO KNOW SOMEONE and PARTY with them in the parking lot in order to be able to buy food from this horrible establishment. read more

Do not eat here. I was in town on business and went here for a quick and easy dinner on my way back to hotel. Got the original burger combo. Eating burger and all of the sudden felt something hard and sharp. It was a piece of metal. I called the restaurant no answer. Emailed corporate no response. I'm a huge Whataburger fan and I'm so happy to have our first Whataburger open in Huntsville. I'm even more excited for the second Whataburger to open in a few months because it is very close to my house. Unfortunately my first experience at the new location was not great. The store was swamped, even after the store being open for a few weeks. This shows the popularity of Whataburger and I will excuse some of first visit faults to the volume of customers. First, it was difficult to park, more on that later. Second, they were training new staff, and I get that, but they got my order wrong and had to request a replacement burger. Third, I ordered a chocolate shake and waited a long time before an employee came out to tell me that they were out of chocolate. Fourth, came the difficulty getting out of the small narrow parking lot. Fortunately they had someone directing traffic, but I still had to wait 15 minutes before I could back out and escape through the Starbucks parking lot. I hope they get the problems addressed because I'm a huge fan. read more

Went yesterday to pick up burgers for dinner. Waited 5 minutes at the drive thru speaker and had to literally say hello to get an order placed. Ordered 1 cheeseburger 1 Jr cheeseburger medium fries cooked crispy and a small banana pudding shake. Shouldn't have been too difficult. Waited for my food at the window for almost 15 minutes. Got half way home and grabbed a French fry and they were still partially frozen in the middle. I ordered them well done. Got home and the burgers were ice cold. They are less than a ten mi Ute drive from my house. I will NEVER go back!!! read more

We stopped in last night after a ball tournament and no one would come take our order. There were at least three workers sitting at tables when we walked in. Ended up having to use the kiosk to order. We then waited for our food for over 30 mins. At least 12 cars went through the drive thru. Once they finally called our number we went to the counter to get our food. Mind you we paid for our sauces. The girl who gave us our order was very rude when we asked for the sauces we paid for(even showed her on the receipt). She still shorted us so we asked for the other sauce. After making us wait another five minutes just to grab one container of ranch she handed it to us and by this time she had an attitude. This didn't just happen to us but every customer that dined in the time we were there. It was pathetic! Needless to say we will NEVER go back! Hopefully this reaches higher management and they will start looking into how the store is being ran and maybe offer some customer service classes to the employees. read more

It's hit or miss. For the most part the food is hot and correct. Better to go in, drive thru takes a long time and you do still need to check your order when you get it. I do like the food and like that I can go in (looking at you Chick Fil A) to eat as a family instead of grab and go. Cinnamon rolls (ask for it to be heated) and onion rings are really good. Not professional employees by any means but they've also never been rude to us. read more

Ordered 2 burgers, fries, onion rings, 2 apple pies, 2 drinks. Ordered curbside, received order promptly. Got home and only had drinks and burgers. Drove back and received missing items. This is by far the slowest fast food place I have ever been to. They are completely unorganized and the wait for over 30 mins for a number 4 combo is unreal. I would recommend driving to another whatabuger and the time it takes to drive to another location and get your food will still be quicker than this palace. read more

Overall fine, the place was clean and the workers were attentive. Their soda machine was running out of carbonation. I got the jalapeño and cheese burger and they cut their onions really thick, which I did not like. The French fries are like the same McDonald's has. Probably would not eat there again. read more

I just have to laugh. Every time I come here the drive-through line takes so long I swear I'm never going to come back yet somehow when it's the only place open at 9:00 PM, here we are. I love whataburger I think it's a really good fast food burger place but this location is the absolute worst. Every time I have gone to this location it has taken me at least an hour to even order my food in the drive thru so I tried online ordering this last time and went I tried to go to the front the door and it was locked and the staff just looked at me, acknowledged I was there, and continued doing what they were doing. Then had to wait 45 minutes in the drive thru line to be told to pull around and wait at the front for my food to be ready. And now I have cold food and a bad taste in my mouth for this location. I will still continue to eat at whataburger in the future but definitely not at this location. read more

I will never come back here. I love whataburger and i thought that this place would be one of the better ones because it looks so nice. This is supposed to be a "fast food" restaurant. I had to wait for almost an hour just to get a chicken finger meal and a side of fries. That is actually ridiculous. The workers are slow and lazy. They are in no hurry to get food out to people. A person should not have to wait that long at a fast food restaurant. The food is just not worth it. I will probably never go back to a whataburger again because every whataburger i've gone to the service has been absolutely terrible. The workers have terrible attitudes about working here. I've had a shorter wait for food at nice restaurants, bringing food out to people in a timely manner should not be an issue, especially at a fast food place. Ridiculous. read more

Do not waste your time or money. This restaurant cannot get their act together. We had never been to this restaurant and I asked the cashier what condiments came on the burger. She didn't know what condiments were. Then she told me only ketchup. I said good, because I didn't want mustard or mayo. Ordered for two and one without onions and proceeded to wait 40 minutes for two burger meals! When it came, the cheese wasn't on the one burger and BOTH had mustard and mayo and onions on both. I flagged down an employee (because they won't look at you) and explained the issue. One burger was missing the cheese and BOTH had mustard and mayo, which we didn't want. He literally stood there and said, "So?" I asked for them to be remade correctly. He left and 10 minutes later came back with a new bun and a slice of cheese for the one burger. Really? The burger is cold now. The refused to remake it. Then my burger came...again...with MUSTARD! He took it back, begrudgingly. Said his MANAGER made the burger. Another 10 minutes and he brings out another. Says..."If this one isn't right, my manager refuses to make another one." Really? Then you'll be refunding me my money. At this point the wrong burgers are stacked up on the edge of the table for everyone to see. Apparently, they don't like to do special orders. I have a severe onion allergy. I explained this. The burger was still wrong, but I could pick off the onions. I didn't want to have to fight for my money back. At this point we have been there over an hour. Very disappointing. I would give it 0 stars if I could. This is our first and will be our only Whataburger experience. We went inside to dine in, and after 40 minutes our food came out. They messed up my sons burger, and forgot my other sons onion rings. We asked for some ketchup, oh wait they dont have regular ketchup, only spicy ketchup...which was nasty. My sons jacked up burger made him sick so he went to the car. My wife's fruit punch was really water with barely a hint of fruit punch and the soft drinks were all so loaded with co2 that you couldn't tell if you were drinking regular or diet. The mushroom Swiss burger is an abomination. way to ruin my favorite burger with your sour tangy mushroom sauce. So we figure he let's make it up to the kids with some chocolate milkshakes..but the ice cream machine is down. This place hasn't even been open for 2 months. I doubt it will last much longer. I'm not surprised that this is the first review because im probably the first person to survive eating here read more
