It was a sunny, hot & humid, Monday morning when I walked into the place. The air inside Culver was cool and crisp on my face. Out of two different locations I was given a salutation of the day. As I walked to the counter I was greeted again. ( wow enough already) I knew what I wanted; a raspberry malt, fish sandwich and order of fries. The young ebony wench took my order and my cash. I was given a number and they would bring me my food. It was 1100 AM not a lot of folks. My order came quickly it was hot & crispy. The fish sandwich was long and thick. I was pleasantly surprise they even had malt vinegar packets. The onions rings were fresh cut red onions properly battered. The raspberry malt shake was thick enough to use a spoon with just the right amount of malt and sweetness. Over all a very good first time visit to Culvers...Though as a friend used as an comparision it seemed to be a upscale Mcdees. I will return for a burger read more

Whenever a Culver's is nearby I'm there! I was in town for a wedding and this location was close to the hotel. The reason for one star missing was because they seemed short staffed and a bit chaotic. Only one guy was taking orders even though there was a line. Other staff members would walk past the counter but no one stepped in to help. I felt bad for him. As usual the food was yummy. Be careful ordering the mushroom and Swiss. My wife picked us up dinner from this location last Tuesday night, 1-24-23. She had a deluxe and I had the mushroom and Swiss. My stomach hurt right after eating it, which I didn't think anything of it at the time. It was still uncomfortable the next morning. I got on the treadmill before work and I felt the contents of my stomach empty into my intestines. That's when I got really sick. I threw up what was left in my stomach and was running a fever for the next day and a half. I missed two days of work. Needless to say, it will be a while before I can eat Culver's again. read more

the lady at the drive thru was very rude and trying to speed us through our order. I couldn't get a single order out without her saying "is that all?" Simply put, I love this place. Why? Because despite the fact that they are a chain,the good people at Culver's are passionate about the quality of their food. The burgers are fresh, never frozen and cooked to order; all the cheese (and cheese curds) are from farms in Wisconsin; and their custard is all made in small batches and kept so cold that I am able to take pints home from Ft Myers to Boca without a melted mess. (Warning: make sure they triple bag the pint, to insure safe transport---the author will not be responsible for any loss of product or consequential damages for errant transportation :) ) The folks here are also super friendly and the restaurant is always very clean. Even the owner is involved in refilling napkins, cleaning up etc. Will definitely (and have) return each time I am back on this coast. read more

This is an interesting fast food place, I always thought this place was a furniture store. The foods alright, I'd rather go to Wendy's or McDonald's for a chicken sandwich for almost same price as culvers. This place taste like any other fast food place, nothing special in my opinion. I don't like the system they have, I paid for my food and then they made me pull up with a number. When your food is ready a person comes out and brings it to you, what if I wanted ketchup or extra napkins? This means I have to wait longer for the worker to go back into the building to grab all that and then come back out... Just a hassle. I ordered a chocolate malt and a peach cement mixer. What I got was a chocolate toffee cement mixer and a chocolate malt.

An hour and 5 minutes . Thats how long it took me to get my order. I was one of the two first cars in the lines. Numerous cars behind me were served their food as I waited patiently. Cars continued to get my food. And the worker came to my window about 20 minutes after reading me the incorrect order that wasn't mine. I continued to wait. He then came again with bags and read two orders to me again which weren't mine. After about 45 minutes of waiting, he finally came and said they had a "double order", so they gave my food away. I was confused because a double order would mean there were two of my order. I then had to wait another 20 minutes as they made my food from scratch again. They compensated me by giving me a coupon for free concrete mixers. read more

Culver's is an interesting new concept fast food chain. I had gone in with two other people to try the ice cream thing everyone raves about. The interior was pretty big, as they need room to hold the self serve freezers holding pints of ice cream. The day we went in, the pints were cheaper than the cups at the counter, by over a dollar. It seems to be a mash of a Dairy Queen, Burger King (and McDonalds) and any other chain that offers ice cream dessert with a burger and fries. But the focus is on the custard ice cream, or so it felt like. Two out of the three people got the Concrete Mixer and the other person opted for the pint from the freezer. I was one of the mixer people, and I had gotten the peanut butter and banana cup. The other mixer was mint and peanut butter, if I recall. The pint was raspberry. We did not order anything else. How was this custard ice cream concoction? Heavy. And expensive. The mint order was not finished for days - it was taken home and put in the freezer. The person ate a little at a time, and 4 days later ended up having to throw out the last couple spoonfuls. I finished mine in two days. No matter how many times we took the cup out of the freezer to eat a spoonful or two, it made us feel like it was just sitting in our stomachs. Like when you eat a huge steak dinner and you just want to lump around afterwards, this was the feeling after eating the custard. My order tasted more peanut butter than banana. As if they left out the fruit mix all together. The mint person had remarked about the same thing. She seemed to be missing part of her mix as well. I honestly can't give any rating less than a 3 star, nor can I give more than a 3 star. The place was semi clean, the staff was quick, and the over all feeling is just "ok". Called ahead for 2 piece cod dinner. Paid for meal and began wait. After 7 cars pulled in after me and received their orders, waiting 20 minutes in the process, I received order without any comment. Ordered a turtle concrete mixer, the caramel and chocolate were in the bottom of the cup solid vanilla ice cream in the middle and whole pecans on top. Nothing mixed into the ice cream, couldn't even get to the caramel or chocolate. Took two bites and threw the rest away, if I wanted to eat vanilla ice cream plain I would have ordered it that way. Ha, the Floridians think Culver's is "new". Yeah, new 30 years ago. It has over 600 locations and is superior "fast food". Better than McDonalds, but not quite Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. It's expanded slowly over the years, careful not to grow too fast so they could keep the quality. And quality is exactly what they are all about. Their food is always fresh and good. The fried chicken, salads, soups, chicken tenders, etc all so good. The butter burgers stand-out, as well as the cheese curds, crinkle cut fries and fish. And the frozen custard is better than ANYTHING Dairy Queen, Steak & Shake, Friendly's or Rita's could ever hope to serve. The most amazing cold stuff ever created on the planet. The servers are nice however they never seem to get the to-go orders right. Last night i ordered 2 cod dinners one 3 piece and one 2 piece with fries and slaw and no lemon. I received a 3 piece cod dinner with lemon and a 2 piece chicken dinner ???? I have had issues before with my getting my order after a long wait and then them running after me as they gave me the wrong order this has happened twice. Nothing on the food menu sounds too appealing to me, but we've had the concrete mixer twice and they're addicting!! First time we got peanut butter and brownies, SO peanut buttery and the ice cream is very creamy. I didn't really like the brownie bits, so we got Reese's the next time and it was perfect!
