Nice McGregor burger, lamb patty topped with caramelized onions, cheddar, and Aioli sauce!
    Martin N.

Walked in and craved to try their gator bites, fried frog legs and Suwannee sampler of trio sausages with a beer or two! At the last minute, we changed our minds and just opted for burgers. We ordered a simple or original burger with cheese, lettuce and tomato with fries and a "McGregor" burger, a lamb patty with caramelized onions, cheddar and aiola sauce. The simple burger is made with a 4 oz patty and could be a little bigger 6 oz or 8 oz patty! The McGregor burger is amazing, the aiola sauce is oozing and added a savory taste to the lamb burger! Fries are hot and crunchy. Nice. We enjoyed our lunch with excellent service! Maybe next time, we can have gator bites, frog legs and sausages.

We came with family and some of their friends. We had good and entertaining service from Crispy (he said his name is like bacon!). The decor might be a bit off putting with stuffed gator heads on each table and a few baby alligators in an aquarium! Among other things. I tried not to look too closely. Meanwhile, they had a plethora of unusual burgers and sandwiches with a variety of toppings, the burgers were huge. My son in law tried one that had peanut butter and jelly on it. My husband had their frog legs appetizer -- and got the teens to try a bite. A couple had the cheeeeze sandwich and one gal a salad. I had their bao buns appetizer. It was like 3 burger sliders with their take on a Big Mac. I had them leave off the onions. Other than their being a bit too much pickle relish, the sweet bao buns with their burgers and toppings were quite good. It turned out to be a choice place for all ages. And we had fun trying their different food options. I'm sure the group would return in future...

Delicious Frog Legs (aka Florida Croakers)

A family dinner along with some baseball family friends here at Florida Boy tonight. Being a native Florida Boy, I appreciate some of the traditional recipes and food, also the eclectic inspired Burgers crafted here. Burgers with Peanut Butter and Jelly and Bacon were tempting but I chose the Florida Croacker as my dish. Served on top of a Garlic pesto and lemon, my three Frog Leg servings were as delicious as I remember them. With a light batter, a dusting of flour and cracker meal, these were perfectly deep fried and large! Great service from Crispy and lots of smiles at our tables.

Krispy assistant manager Florida Boy Burger Co. embraces the flavor and spirit of "old Florida" with bold menu items, whimsical decor featuring taxidermied wildlife and even live baby alligators, and a story rooted in Sunshine State nostalgia It boasts a Google rating of 4.7/5 from around 43-54 reviews, with diners praising both the food quality and friendly service

My Girlfriend (Sydney) and I got served by Sydney....whaaat? Yes our waitress had the same spelling. She was also very sweet and cool. Food: to my own discredit.. I wouldn't get the McGregor lamb burger again. It was a bit chewy and lacked flavor. I had originally eyed the kid wonder? Burger. #goals4nexttime. The truffle fries were hot and crispy. But ill be fine w/ regular next time. The truffle trend is a gimmick. Last up to bat on food...the dessert. The cookies, which yes, were freshly baked, tasted as such. Again..a one and done for me. My Sydney could always go for cookies and ice cream. Ambiance: love it! Gators everywhere. Go Gators! Enter the swamp ..etc. And yes drinks (non alcoholic) were served in Mason jars..big n small. Overall: meal for 2 was roughly $80..that was w tip thrown in. So yea lil pricey. And now I know what to order and not to order NEXT time.

Half eaten Bacon Cheeseburger. (Sorry, I forgot to take a photo before digging in.)

What a great burger place! Funky and different, busy, busy, busy at lunch which is a good thing. The decorations are well pretty much Early American Alligator and not much else. They even had three live alligators in a tank as you walk in (the tank needs to be cleaned). i had the nicest, kindest, most patient server EVER! I hat that I forgot her name. She was working the whole floor and no one waited for anything. I had a bacon cheeseburger (minus the BBQ sauce). The bacon should have a smokier flavor, but the cheese was good, and the beef quality was excellent. An 8 oz. patty was a lot! They even have an option to get Florida beef for $3.00 more. I will do that next time just to see if it is worth it. The fries were good, but weren't hot. I will definitely be going back! Good job FBB!

I'm a fan of the unique style of this place and the impressive collection of Florida photographs. Super cool spot. Love the vibe. They even have an aquarium featuring rescued baby gators. Come on Man! Our service was exceptional. While the two burgers and gator fillet sandwich were decent, they could have been more impressive considering the price point. Gotta get that dialed in.

This burger place gives off very Florida Everglades vibes! Cute Alligators all around, even baby live ones! I ordered sausage links one made out of actual alligator, it was my favorite. My Husband ordered a hamburger it was as you can see in my picture pretty big! It came with fries. Overall nice place to visit but little pricy $18 for a burger & the links also $18. Plus two cokes & tip for two people, we spent $52.

So i've been eye bawling this place for a few months and finally made the tine to go and explore it. The restaurant has some nice decor inside very hip style. Defiantly gives you the florida vibe so A+ on matching the name. I specially liked the food prep area being visible almost giving me dinner vibes. The staff was prompt and very knowledgeable on all the food they provide. Very quick to sit and place orders. There wasn't a-lot going on when we first arrived but quickly got busy in there. Burger was a good burger. Got pink as i requested and the bacon was thicker than a snicker! I would have liked the burger a bit hotter but it did nothing to the taste which was spot on. I read a review a few down about how flavorless their meals were but honestly I am not seeing this. Fries were also great to pair with the burger. This is for sure a spot i will frequent with many more friends.

Wow! This little gem should be known about! Our server was the sweetest, she did a great job explaining the menu and providing suggestions when I was stuck between what I wanted. The restaurant screams "Florida swamp" in the best way possible! With baby alligators at eyes view and a taste of the wild you get the full experience. Be ready to eat when you arrive with portions hefty you won't be hungry when you leave

Based on the online menu, we thought this would be a higher end, unique restaurant. Stopped in for a late lunch after work to scope out to bring out of town family as an unusual "Florida spot". Initially I thought it looked like a basic cafe sort of place, not really indicative of the high prices. We ordered beer off a list on the wall, we could barely see it from where we sat, but that was apparently the only beer list. Everything was cans. No draft. Our appetizers were not at all as expected, the fried pickles and the shrimp tasted exactly the same, over fried and both had the same bland sauce. The shrimp was hard and tough. My husband got a burger, it was also over cooked and bland. He was super disappointed and didn't even finish it. I ordered the cheese sandwich and it was terrible. It was two pieces of garlic bread with cheese and it was so dry m, hard, and bland. Our waitress was nice enough to take it off our bill when she noticed I didn't eat it, but our bill was still over $70. Unfortunately we found the entire experience underwhelming and overpriced.

Really good burger in a funky setting. The burger menu is pretty diverse with a very creative flair. I elected to have their smash burger and was very pleased with it overall. Fries were ok, short nubby type. Service was very good as well. Highly suggest if you're looking for a decent selection of burgers. They do have a chefs menu that has some really cool non burger options. The day we were there, they had a huge tomahawk bone in ribeye that looked amazing.

Alligator Alley burger, truffle fries and egg on side
    Natalie S.

First time in to try this local burger joint. I liked the vibe; Florida country and down home hospitality. The beer and wine menu is on a huge wall chalk board, menu explains many hallmark burgers and of course sides. There were 4 in our party; 1-had the 47th truffle burger and 3-had Alligator Alley (since we all enjoy a classic burger). 3-had regular fries and 1-had truffle fries. 47th truffle burger was enjoyed with much enthusiasm and would definitely come back again; especially since she enjoyed the key lime shake. As for the 3-Alligator Alley burgers; meh. Main complaint: Burgers are NOT seasoned = bland burger. Knowing this from other friends who have eaten here, I asked for a friend egg on my burger. Nope. I had to have it on the side as they do not like to change the original-ness of the burgers prepared; at least that's what our waiter told me. Taste? It was an okay burger, big, but just okay. Truffle fries were very good but very rich and the regular fries were cooked pretty well. I really wanted to like this burger but I couldn't get past the fact that there was absolutely NO flavor to the beef. And for a $14/burger I wanna taste something other than sautéed onions and a pickle. Would we go back? Probably not but I wish them much luck!

Mission accomplished. Lighthouse Waterfront is huge with a big dining rm on one side and another section closer to the left overlooking the outdoor deck sitting right on the water. If you're chasing sunset vibes, this deck is where it's at. We started with a dozen meaty oysters and a hot crab dip with crispy wontons to dip. For our main plates, hubs ordered the thick-cut bone-in pork chop and loved it while I went with the seasoned grilled swordfish. I had the Dubai Chocolate cocktail and I'll give them props for that pistachio rim and the dark chocolate drizzle.....that Hershey's syrup crap. The only downside was it could've packed a punch. But then again- between my recent trip to Miami/Ft Lauderdale and now Sanibel...I haven't had a drink that would know the shit out me here. No offense. Anyhow, to wrap things up, we shared a slice of key lime pie. That's basically mandatory when you're down here. It was good, but honestly, the real treat was watching that Sanibel sunset. Service was ok- I just wished our young server was more present. On the plus side, when he'd showed up, he made sure to help at any given moment. We finished dinner, headed out to the deck and soaked in every second of the sunset before making our way to catch the fireworks elsewhere.

Where to start. 1)Our servers were amazing. 2) Drinks - pathetic. $16.00 for a lime martini that tasted like a melted popsicle and was a total of 6 oz. No taste at all and $19.00. 4) shrimp with garlic and butter over linguini - it was basically pho soup. $28.00. 5) and the best of all. Lobster Mac n cheese. It was macaroni with (I kid you not) seafood bisque over top and a small ramekin of Parmesan cheese $50.00. The man playing music (nice island vibe) in the corner was so loud I could not hear my husband across the table. In fact most asked to move to the other side but it was closed off or outside because it was so loud. Did I mention it was 95 degrees. 5 or so parties were seated after us, and while we were not at all in a hurry, every one of them received their meals prior to us and left before we received our food. Our server felt bad so she offered us some bread for the extra wait. (Shouldn't that be standard). We didn't complain and paid the over $150.00 bill plus a nice tip and the 3% charge for using a card. No manager came to ask how the meal was and at this point we were over it. Asked for a take home box and left. I can also tell you the menu was extremely limited. No crab dishes, no scallop dishes? A seafood restaurant not anymore? What happened? New management, owners? And yes we've been there since IAN so can't blame the hurricane. We will only visit Lobster Lady from now on. I sound like I just want to complain but I don't. I know it's off season and don't ever expect perfection. This was worse than horrible. Beware. It's not what it once was. Sadly! Sorry no pictures mostly out of shock but the water feature that used to be so picturesque outside was green algae.

What makes Mango Rita's so special is the incredible lineup of tribute bands they bring in every week. If you grew up on the music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s like we did, this place is a dream. We've seen amazing tributes to bands like KISS, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe and more--and the quality of the bands is outstanding. In fact, the shows are so good that we sometimes plan our trips to Fort Myers around which bands are playing! Beyond the music, the atmosphere is fantastic and the crowd always seems to be having a great time. It's one of those places where everyone is there to enjoy the music and have fun. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, J.J. and her husband, and hearing their story. They previously owned one of the largest nightclubs on the East Coast in Maryland before bringing their passion for live music to Fort Myers Beach. After Hurricane Ian destroyed their original location, they rebuilt their vision further inland--and we're so glad they did. They're a wonderful couple and you can tell how much heart they put into this place. If you love live music, especially classic rock and iconic bands, Mango Rita's Rhythm Room is an absolute must-visit.
