Cheddar double butter burger and fries
    Tricia D.

The service is a little curt here (atleast the last couple times I've been in the drive thru), but the fries always come out piping hot, and I can't resist my go to meal of a cheddar double butter burger with everything on it. Culver's custard hits the spot too! Pro tip if you've been living under a rock: you get a free sundae for the 2 weeks around your birthday! Location here is pretty new! Welcome to the neighborhood, Culver's!

This is a newish 4 year old Culver's. The food was as usual an excellent value. We might have come on an atypical night as it was a fund-raising night for one of the local elementary schools and that's what we were here for, with 20% of the proceeds going to the school. It might have been atypical because there were many families with kids, and though they weren't unruly, the place didn't feel as clean as a "regular" Culver's (eg, some sticky chairs). So I dinged them a star, deservedly or not, IDK, but whatever. I guess I'll have to come back on regular night to find out what it's like here, and I suspect it's very good. Anyway I had a cod sandwich for $6.69 and a large vanilla shake for $5.69. They were both delicious and satisfying. The 4-course kids' meal for $6.99 is an exceptionally good value here also. Culver's is a great chain and thank you for participating in the local school fundraisers.

    Atlantic Cod fish and chips

Came here to get their fish and chips and it was good but the fish needed a bit more seasoning. The fish came out hot and crispy with fries (chips), side of cole slaw and dinner role. Other than the needed salt for seasoning , I'd get the fish again. Service was friendly and fast. I'd def come back here again!

Among the best restaurants. Almost everything y they do it the best way possible. A big shout out…read moreto the cooks for the well done gyros and well done fries on request. The staff is great and knowledgeable. Two small things they could do better, the Greek salad dressing needs more oil and less vinegar and it seems that happens when you mix a batch of salad dressing it separates and it's hard to get the correct amount of oil and vinegar in the small plastic containers, the work around for that is to put a little of "gum" in the dressing so the oil and vinegar does not separate and you solve two issues one is getting the right mix in the small containers and second is to give the customer a dressing that stays mixed so every bite has the right amount of oil and vinegar because now some bites are oily and some are vinegary. Second thing that could be improved is the garlic bread, it's now a very chewy and tough piece of bread very hard to eat, my view is there are two other choices, you could buy commercial frozen garlic bread likes Texas toast put a slice or two in a regular bread toaster and you would give a tasty piece of garlic bread with your dinners the other choice would be to get a commercial bread toaster like the ones in hotel breakfast buffets or the ones Dunkin donuts uses for toasting bagels the ones with conveyor belts. You would have to experiment with the type of bread you would use but you should be able to get a tasty piece of garlic bread. Don't forget your staff is your best resource, make different versions and have your staff help you decide which they like more and do that one. Good luck.

Service was a bit slow and there were a couple staff members racing around while at least three were on their phones. Food was pretty good! A number of us at the table got gyros which were huge but the tomatoes and onions on the sandwiches were sparse. Other folks got the chicken kabob, meatball sandwich, patty melt, onion rings, and baklava. Everything came out hot and we enjoyed it for a lunch spot.

As soon as the soda…read moremachine (for the water cups!) is installed, and the Hot Chicken Shawarma Wrap makes a comeback. In the meantime, I ordered a Hot Chick (medium heat), with a side of fries, some extra pickles, and the garlic sauce to make my Slavic heart happy. The food came out fresh from the bubbling oil, it could be handled without burns, but clearly spent no time under a lamp. Both the chicken and the fries were fried to a delectable crunch. No twice-fried-as-an-excuse here, genuinely well done. My only note is that it feels as though the fries and chicken *may* have spent an extra 15 seconds in the fryer. While the innards were tender, it felt as though a tinge of moisture was sacrificed without need. The fries were seasoned perfectly, and other than the usual delight of dipping them into everything on the plate, they were perfect as they were. Fantastic amount too, not the starch overload of Five Guys, but not a skimpy serving either. The chicken sandwich was the real star. The medium contained some proper spice without having smoke come out the ears. It was well sauced, and had a great hit of acid from the pickles. Out of left field came the slaw: I was not expecting to like this to the point of almost leaving it out. However, it was fresh, felt homemade, and wasn't a mayonnaise bomb. Would order the again without complaints or reservations. I also had a chance to try their house-made lemonade. I appreciate that they use zero-calorie sweetener to cut down on sugars. However, it came out too sweet for my liking. It would be helpful to have options of level and type of sweet. Final notes: The server behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable time frame considering how fresh everything was. Final verdict: A case where I say it's a good thing Nash Bros is a little bit of a hike, otherwise I might visit too much for my health. Barring some minor notes, everything was scrumptious, and I'd happily order it all again (and likely will!)

Only downside was the service. The clerk told us to use the kiosk right away with no greeting, which felt a little cold. I am satisfied with their response and improve my rating from 1 to 4 stars This isn't a negative review of the food which was the standard chain quality (good but don't splurge on it much for health reasons). I was in the area for a play and picked up a local friend. I went here because an acquaintance (who since died) gave me multiple gift cards to Portillos which I needed to use. I had 4 cards, not sure how much was left on them. We got $27 worth of food and I started handing the cashier the cards. She told me to scan them on the read light reader. Only one had a scannable bar code. She was not sure how to read the others. My friend suggested she swipe it on keyboard, she didn't seem to know this already. Card 1 red light scanned ok. Card 2 swiped ok. Card 3 she swiped and it didn't register, unclear if it worked. Card 4 brought the total to 0$. She wasn't going to give the last 2 cards back and asked for the other two. My tried to clarify that card 4 might have value left, she confidently said no. I was suspicious since the total couldn't have exactly matched my bill. The next day I looked at the receipt and it clearly said there was money left on the card, over 8$. It's unclear whether card 3 had money or she just didn't scan it. I'm presuming this was poor training but it has an element of malicious intent since she was so confident I had nothing left on the card and requested keeping all the cards. If you have gift cards beware going here unless staff are trained. Receipt attached for proof. If the business is reading this, can I cat my money back? Card 3 was for $10 value but not clear if it was touched or not.

They have order kiosks at the entrance or you can order with a cashier at the front. I guess it depends how much you're avoiding people on which you prefer. It's clean and has spacious seating. The decor is typical of a Portillo's but I found the mannequin scene at the entrance quite interesting and I'm still trying to put the story line together.

This is a very busy location at weekday lunch time anyway and their parking lot was filled.   As soon as we ordered for pick up at the drive thru (you can optionally pick up inside at their counter or do a curbside pick up as well), you get a code and report the code at the drive thru and your order is displayed on their video screen for confirmation.  It's all quite quick and handy.  One of the reasons for their quickness is that most of the mainstream items are already made, packaged, and ready to go.  My Big Mac wasn't fresh off the grill but it was good enough and the speediness was appreciated on this particular visit.  One of the kiddos ordered a Happy Meal cheeseburger with no ketchup and sure enough she screamed out loud when she saw the ketchup, but the situation was easily rectified with a napkin lol.  I was disappointed the Big Arch was no longer offered, oh well, maybe another time.  For the value, convenience, and consistency, MCD is a solid 4 stars for our occasional visits.

Neither was the case, and it was instead an above-average fast food experience. Now... do you remember when the fries at McD's were actually worth raving about? Yeah... it was likely when they were cooked in beef tallow, as opposed to oil with beef flavor added (really!). I don't buy into the belief that one must go after seed oils with torch and pitchforks, but I do love a darn good fry, and Steak 'n Shake delivered! They were hot, fresh, and well seasoned. The burger itself was respectable as far as fast food goes. It was cooked fresh and assembled with care. The meat was well seasoned, and the veggies gave a good balance in terms of freshness. While the smashed patties didn't have the lacy crisp edges a next-level smashburger does, it's fast food, so I'm not going to hold it against them (I may be tough, but I am reasonable!). It did take a hot minute for the food to come out, but I was not in a hurry, and I want to recognize that everything appeared to be cooked fresh to order. It was very quiet at the time, so please be aware that during a busy time, YMMV. Finally, the service was perfectly polite and friendly. Final verdict: Steak 'n Shake has by 'good' by definition burgers. Where they shine, though, is the fries, and not for a lack of seed oils, but for being hot, fresh, and flavorful! Thus, we are left with a place that is not a destination, but one to visit when I am in the area craving a superb fast-food fry!
