[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - casual, great for small to large group hangouts[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service - good, kitchen made the wrong entree and added an additional 10-15 min before I got my food Food - steak was definitely on the chewier side even when I got medium rare

We drove here on the recommendation of a co-worker. We had maybe tried the beer after she bought us some, and with a day off, getting out of the city seemed a good idea. We came in around 2pm on a Friday. It was quiet but we were fine with that. We sat at the bar with college basketball playing. The bartender and waitress were helpful and friendly in helping us pick out what we wanted to sample. We got both limited edition and regular to sample, as well as the chicken quesadilla. They were also ok with giving us samples of beers to see if we would want them for tasting. The beers were fine, and we bought a 4 pack to go. The quesadilla was ok. The Bison Chili was awesome! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had outdoor seating, covered with heaters but it seemed too cold for that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view from there was nice I admit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like how the 'hangar' theme meant pictures of airplanes and pilots, including Amelia Earhart![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like winter beers, but I'd like to go back in the spring or summer to see what's available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restroom was clean and approachable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came in for a Friday evening dinner around 6:45pm and it was not packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were originally seated in the outdoor awning side, but there was a draft so moved to inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is decently extensive and they also had north shore restaurant month going on. A decent selection of entrees to chose from for the set price of $28. Which also came with an app and a dessert. For restaurant month they also offered a flight of 4 5oz beers for $9.99, which you could chose any beer from the menu. They were out of one side of their list but had all the others. The beers were light and crisp as described. I had the Restaurant Month menu and chose the tomato bisque, steak schnitzel and the cookie skillet.

After dropping some money on new appliances at Abt, we deserved a beer! [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the interior is a little fancier on the inside than I prefer for bellying up to a bar for a beer, our super-fantastic bartender made it a great, laid-back experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After serving our beer flight, he actually suggested a beer that complimented my (hoppy) and my husband's (fruity) individual tastes. Though we had our flight already, he gave us a small sample of his recommendation. I had to joke that the beer tasted like our marriage, and I had to get some to take home. We really did enjoy our time there and will be back when back in the area.

Stopped in for lunch and were pleased with our selection of hand-helds and sandwich. Portion sizes were generous, everything was cooked to perfection and prices were reasonable. Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is lovely, great decor and a beautiful glass enclosed patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great restaurant where craft beer meets craft food. They have a wide selection of microbrews and custom mixed drinks along with a fabulous food menu. The food presentation is one of the best in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As far as seating, you have the option to sit in the bar area, at the bar or out on the inclosed patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is friendly and attentive and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere reminds me of being on vacation at a beach house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Their best location by far. This one far exceeds the one in Vernon Hills. Our bartender was super friendly, great personality, and she knows how to engage her patrons. The beer was better, too. The decor was also far better. It has an upscale feel to it. Besides the beer, we also ordered "Aunt Bees Biscuits". They are large and you get 5 of them. I actually preferred the strawberry butter.

Great, fast service and a perfect spot for a Saturday night meal! We stopped in after buying some appliances next door and were pleased they were able to seat us right away in addition to giving us space for our stroller. The beer was great, my husband and I each did a flight. Our favorite was the Honest Hazy IPA. Seems like a good spot for groups or families. It's a nice place without feeling like you need to dress up or anything. Food was all tasty! We would return. Their tented area seems like it would be perfect for hosting a private event like a holiday party or rehearsal dinner. Very classy and cool vibes!

Ask the Community - Hangar Two by Tangled Roots Brewing Company

Is there a gluten-free menu and gluten-free beer?

There's are many gluten free food options, such as gluten free buns and flatbreads. Unfortunately, there are no gluten free beers as of yet.

I know this is a brewery but the food looks good and planning to go with a group and not everyone drinks beer. Do they have wine and/or cocktails?

They have cocktails. Look at one of my photos of the cocktails menu. I think I saw a lady drinking a glass of wine, but I may or may not be thinking of the right place.

It's spacious and a super cool venue, which was used for my daughter's high school fundraiser last weekend. I visited Double Clutch twice within one week. The first was a meeting held at the venue right before the event where everyone got to enjoy some beer (except those of us who don't love beer and opted for water) and some of the food that would be served at the event the following weekend. I munched on some turnbuckle pretzels, fried buffalo bites and cauli wings- all were pretty good! A few days later we sold out with a 300 person event, although honestly we could have fit way more in the space because there was plenty of room to move around. The band Go Ask Your Mum was playing lots of fun 80s and 90s hits, there was a buffet of the food we had tried a few days beforehand and the bar was busy. I opted for wine, which was good. The acoustics here aren't great, which i noticed during the meeting and during the event. The band was fun to listen to, but i could hardly hear anyone i was speaking to. But that's really my only complaint since it's a great space!

We went on July 4th - we made reservations using their website. The experience of booking reservations seemed easy. There were limited hours available, and we settled on 5:15 since the only time after that was 8 PM, and that was too late. We had hoped for a time between 5:30 and 6:30, but not available. We arrived a little early and were seated immediately - there were few other patrons there and lots of tables open. The server and the service was great. We had six in our party and ordered a variety of things starting with an onions loaf. Wow - that was good. I appreciate that they don't salt it, or add very little salt. This way, we were able to salt it to our tastes. I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs which comes with fries and cole slaw. Others at the table had the Rachel (on the specials menu), Grown-up Grilled Cheese, the Chicken Wrap, The Hack Smash(burger), and Fish and Chips. As mentioned earlier, the onion loaf was quite good. Everyone said their meals were great. The ribs were good but way too saucy for me. I wish I had asked for the sauce on the side - but that is my opinion and others may like ribs with an abundance of BBQ sauce. It was about this time I realized it was almost 6:30 and there were many, many tables open. So, I'm a little disappointed we were not able to find a different time for our reservation. Clearly, they had tables available. For desert, the table shared the bread pudding. Warning - it comes very hot so don't dive into it... However, and I didn't have any, everyone raved about how good it was. Thanks to Hackney's for another great experience.

I loved the Detroit style pizza because of the crunchy bits of the edge pieces. While the edges were really crisp, the dough was moist and had a nice chew. The bacon jam was unique as well as the dollop of Ricotta on top. I liked the creamy texture of the ricotta on top. The other pizza that stood out was the New York Style white Pie. Simple, tasty and thinly crusted. It had a nice light garlicy taste with shredded basil on top of the mozzarella. We were celebrating my birthday and had a large party of 17. We stuck around for the Trivia Night which was a fun activity for the adults. I really liked the atmosphere-- a slew of different flavors of hard ciders, beer, wine to drink, talk with friends, and engage in a collaborative activity. I would definitely want to come back. The staff was friendly. I got to spin the wheel for my birthday and won a free beer. The server gave me a sample of the pickled pear hard cider before committing to a whole glass. I usually don't drink alcohol, but I enjoyed it. It felt appropriate to kick off the summer with this fruity beverage!
