I stopped on the west side of Glenwood Springs today for a late lunch. First time at a Culver's. I could not check-in because my phone lost connectivity after going thru Glenwood Canyon. You order at the counter, get a table sign and they deliver your order. Very large menu in screens behind the counter. There were counter signs with food choices in Spanish. No separate paper menus or QR codes. They offer fish, chicken sandwiches, burgers and salads + plenty of dessert choices. I got a ButterBurger with cheese. What got delivered was literally a single patty with American cheese and nothing else. No toppings, like lettuce or tomatoes!! I checked the menu. If you order a single with cheese, it's $5.24: But the next screen offered you to build your own burger at $4.59 + $0.45 for 1 slice of cheese = $5.05; You can add ketchup, mustard, mayo and pickles for free. You can add tomatoes for $0.30; Fortunately, I also got their Cranberry Bacon Bleu salad. A real salad with crunchy lettuce leaves, cranberries, bacon bits and blue cheese crumbles. I opted for the fat- free Raspberry Vinaigrette from Ken's. Excellent! I opted for mashed potatoes and gravy instead of french fries. I wanted a chocolate milk, but the order came out as a chocolate malt. Contrary to expectations, no tip screen. Another odd item. Separate men's & women's restrooms, but only 1 person per restroom. Meh. I mean it was okay for what it was, I came here via a recommendation from the forums after searching for similar places to Braums. Definitely not a comparison to Braums at all. Braums is on a whole nother level. I ordered the Value basket, Culver's Bacon Deluxe, Cheese Curds, and a Peanut Butter Banana Shake. I then ordered a crispy chicken sandwich to try. The pricing is comparable to Sonic's but I would rather have Sonic's at that point. Culver's Bacon Deluxe: 3/5 comparable to Sonic's. Nothing great about it, I did enjoy the cold cheese though. I guess they're famous for their burgers being butter burgers, I didn't really taste a difference Cheese curds 5/5 I don't order cheese curds often, and the only other place I order cheese curds is at Buffalo Wild Wings. Fair Price? Yes it's standard burger chain prices. Unique Options? Cheese Curds. Milkshakes? Yes and very good. Located just off of 70E freeway take exit 114, a couple roundabout turns and you're in view of the Culver's. You'll enter the drive way and there's ample parking. Enter the double doors and you'll walk directly towards the register. Menus are over head as well as on the counter. I'm traveling for business, driving across states from California so this was my first experience of Culver's. How'd I end up here? It's was mentioned that Culver's is similar to Braums. I'm a fan of Braum's so I had to try it. Cashier was polite, I had several questions as to how the build your own worked. She was helpful. What did I order? - Double Deluxe with Wisconsin Swiss, grilled onions, no lettuce. 3/5 stars. It's nothing special, tastes just slightly fresher ingredients than other chains. I'd compare it to the quality and taste of Burger King. - Fries 3/5 stars. Nicely fried, crisp and light but lacked any additional flavor. Kinda bland. Some seasoning would've be an easy improvement. - Peanut butter banana shake. 4/5 stars. I'd definitely recommend Culver's shakes to anyone passing through and looking for a good milkshake fix. - Cheese Curds. 4/5 stars. Wonderful side. Breading is tasty, bites are of Wisconsin Cheese. We found a seat at a table in the dining area. Honestly I can't say the cleanliness was at 100%. Table and chairs had slight crumbs. Sitting down, you'll place a plaque on the table holding the number of your order. Staff deliver to you. Based on this experience, Culver's doesn't even come close to Braums. I'm likely to skip Culver's unless I'm interested in the Cheese Curds or a Milkshake. Culver's could stand to add a bit more seasoning to its food and care to its cleanliness. A couple small but very impactful adjustments that go a long way. read more

Ambivalent about this place. I wanted an ice cream sundae and he got an Oreo concrete mixer. He said his was ok and mine was not a sundae. It was dark and I couldn't see inside my sundae in the drive through. When we got back to the hotel and I looked at my container, it was two scoops of chocolate ice cream. Absolutely useless staff. Asked guy behind counter if the kids meal included a burger AND the tenders. Yes. He confirmed. Came out as just 2 tenders. Went up and asked. Oh no. It's just one or the other. One person behind the counter speaks English. The others keep looking to him to translate. They said they would exchange the tenders for a burger. Asked for ketchup, tomato and pickles. Came worth tomato, lettuce and ketchup. No pickles. Third times the charm I guess. I asked for a manager. He said yes that's me. Hold on. Four of us stopped here on the way home from a fishing trip for a quick lunch. There was a short line but the order taking went pretty quick. Considering everything is fresh cooked, our order arrived timely as well. The quality of food was a mixed story. My burger was over cooked and dry. I paid extra for tomatoes and got small circle. My friends said their chicken tenders and fish sandwich were very good. The restrooms needed some attention. In the women's room, the waste basket was overflowing. My male friend ended up washing his hands in the women's restroom because the faucet wouldn't stay on in the men's restroom. We then wondered where the male employees washed their hands. me and my friends came on a sunday afternoon and ordered 3 milkshake. there weren't many people when we ordered so we didn't think it would take long, they told us they didn't have vanilla ice cream so we just switched it to chocolate. we waited for 40 minutes and only one of my friends successfully got her milkshake. there were many workers so it was unbelievable that none of them were capable enough to make the other 2 milkshakes. after waiting for such a long time we just decided to leave because it was taking way too long for 2 milkshakes. when we went through the drive thru we decided to order the milkshakes again to see if we could get it this time and the worker told us they didn't have any ice cream at all. we ended up just ordering a soda and the guy gave it to us for free which was nice but we had already payed for the milkshakes we never received. i understand that they were busy the longer we stayed but it is not acceptable that they couldn't have made our milkshakes in the whole 40 minutes we were there or tell us that they didn't have ice cream to make our milkshakes. i have enjoyed coming to culver's in the past but after this i will not be returning because it was just a waste of my time and money. read more

Just don't use the bathroom. Ridiculously small and the toilet seat was lose and not firmly attached. This is a high use restaurant in a high use location and the fact that corporation treats one toilet (not even a urinal) in the men's room as adequate for all the employees and all the customers is disgusting. Forget McDonald's mystery meat the size of a quarter, give CULVER'S a try! We ate lunch at this location around Noon on a Friday. Service was outstanding, you order and go find a seat. Employees delivery your food hot and fast! The sandwiches are big, tasty and so much better than other fast food chains! The manager came around and talked to customers making sure our food was good. Came across this place on the way up to ski & we are hooked... too hooked, we ate at Culver's 3 more times before we went back to SoCal. Your typical fast food fare. Burgers, fries, the usual. We've only done the drive thru & after you pay, they give you a number that you hang on the driver's door handle & you park at a designated spot. Then an employee comes out to deliver your order. It takes a little bit for them to hand it to you since they make it fresh per order. Burgers are called "BUTTERBURGERS" and they are pressed, never frozen. It's good! Got their french fries and ordered the CHEESE SAUCE to dip it in - the cheese sauce is my favorite. I'll eat that with anything. We got a family size cheese curds - YUM. Got their concrete mixers (chocolate with peanut butter). I also enjoyed their vanilla custard. It is rich, creamy, & not overly sweet... so good! Don't expect to use the ladies restroom - twice this week I have stopped here while traveling and both times there was no toilet paper and no paper towels. When I mentioned it, I was told it was the night shift who probably didn't fill the supplies. This was at 1:40 pm! Poor service! Update - 1/2 hour later and no toilet paper. This is simple... almost too simple. Culver's equals cheese curds. Every time I go, I get a family-size curd for myself. They had it, they made it, it was great. Fried right, orange and yellow curds, exactly like Michigan and Wisconsin Culver'ses. I'd heard from someone that the farthest afield ones are suspect. This one? Rock solid. Right flavor, right ingredients, quick and friendly service with that number thing you hold onto. Brought me right back to the Great Lakes from over a thousand miles away. Fun story: I only discovered this because I wanted a photo of a sign. I was driving US 6 and realized this is the part that's a dead end - you need to get on the highway. I wanted the signs that showed US 6 going onto the dead end. I went to U-turn at the first such sign, and as I got in the driveway, things looked familiarly blue. The images on their web site look delicious, and the never frozen beef sounded great. I've only had In-N-Out which also had never frozen patties, so was looking forward to trying this. My brother in law ordered some Culver Deluxe with two patties and protein style burgers. Unfortunately the beef patties were thin and dry, and the protein style burgers just had no buns. I guess I was hoping they would have been wrapped in lettuce or something. I guess if I had been the one ordering I would have clarified this. So good. I cannot say how much I enjoy this place enough. The first time I tried Culver's (months ago in Rifle) I got the classic butter burger and wasn't a huge fan. But I have grown to love the fish n chips from here. I get it every single time and it is the greatest food ever. I cannot recommend this place enough. I grew up in Wisconsin, going to Culver's my entire life. I love Culver's. I have also never left a restaurant review before but this place is so bad I feel like I have to. This place needs new management BADLY. It gives the rest of Culver's such a bad look. It's depressing. We have been here 4 times now, the first few times we thought maybe everyone has a bad day so we have it a few more chances. But it never got any better. The wait is always 30-40min. The food has been cold all 4 times. The most recent time we came I watched 3 different people asked for refunds because they didn't get their food after waiting 40+ minutes. Two of these times their food was actually ready and waiting and was just forgotten by the staff. The staff member who was making our order was also stuffing his face with French fries with the other hand. It's unfortunate and it makes me sad. I want to like this place but until changes are made I won't be coming back. read more

Let me start by saying I am a huge Culver's fan. I have been eating butter burgers and flavor of the day frozen custard as long as I can remember. I even managed at a few locations throughout the midwest and south florida. So being out here and seeing they had a Culver's, of course I had to go and see what they were working with. Right away, not being greeted when you walk in the door is already wrong. Culver's is all about hospitality and customer appreciation and no one seemed to care, whatever. I got my usual double cheddar w/ bacon, the wife got her go-to crispy chicken sandwich. The food is the only reason I am giving 3 stars, honestly. The burger was seasoned perfectly and had good flavor while the fries were extra crispy (without asking) and the curds were great. The wife enjoyed her meal and the flavor of the day was excellent. The restaurant itself needs to be looked after more frequently. The entire area by the fountain and napkins was disgusting and there were a few tables with crap all over them, we had to walk around for a bit to find a clean table. That is not like any other Culver's, it's known for cleanliness and needless to say, this is the dirtiest location I've ever visited. Re-train your staff! read more

My mom and I stopped here during a road trip. We wanted to grab some fast food but we were hoping for a local fast food, something other than McDonald's. We walked in and the staff immediately greeted us. They were patient as we look over the whole menu. We ordered dinner and found a table. I set my stuff down and ventured towards the restroom. The restroom has that foggy window type glass. It's a single stall bathroom. While I was using the restroom, a man was standing outside my stall the whole time! I know he could see the outline of my body! It was so uncomfortable! Why they thought that type of door was a good idea is an imbecile! I got the chipotle chicken strips. I saw about 7 food orders go out while we were waiting for 2 sundaes !!!!!!! The guy finally brought out 1 sundaes & they were wrong!! My daughter ordered again ' he brought 2 more sundae's out & one was wrong again, but out of frustration & time my daughter just took it & ate it! A burger should be juicy and scrumptious...and Culver's ButterBurgers are definitely that! My mushroom and Swiss was perfectly seasoned and dripping with delicious goodness. The double burger meal was perfect for the hubby. Might have to get the kids Grilled Cheese and Mushroom and Swiss next time. Don't judge! Or...order both and enjoy! The root beer is really great here. I recommend it. The mango chiller is a great alternative to the custard...though it's crazy not to try the custard. Smooth, rich, and chilled yumminess. The burgers are a thin burger so a double party might be a wise choice. My only complaint is it isn't closer to my house! read more

Came to Culver's today and unfortunately things did not go well. I stopped by service was fine up until I got home 45 mins later as i live in Eagle. They brought me my 2 bags as usual for my order of 3 burgers, cheese curds and an order of chicken tenders meal. Unfortunately after getting home, turns out they had only put 1 of the 3 burgers into the bag. I called them and all they offered me was that I could go back and pick them up but no extra compensation would be made for driving the 1.5 hour round trip or for their mistake. They also said they would offer that for today only and could not offer anything else or a refund or gift card of any sort. I left 2 stars as their food is delicious. It's just unfortunate that when they make a mistake, they don't compensate in any way and even keep the extra $15 i paid for the food I didn't get. read more

Okay weird.... next, they say they ran out of ranch, okay... forgot the cheese sauce for the fries, okay so we will try the onion rings.... burnt and all "glued" together. We also waited 15 min in a parking space for this disaster of a "lunch". I like this place a lot. It is a shame that it is so near another favorite burger spot (Viccos). But - it is OK - the burger is not the star at Culvers. The stars are the beef pot roast sandwich (stellar), the pork tenderloin sandwich, the fried walleye sandwich and the frozen custard. The burger isn't bad. I've just watched too much Food Network and am expecting the giant blob of butter. This is a perfectly good burger on a buttered, grilled bun. Now - the pot roast sandwich - yum. It is a bun filled (really filled) with fat-free but still juicy pieces of braised beef. The flavor is beefy deliciousness. You have a choice of sauces: horseradish, steak sauce or BBQ. We had horseradish and it was a nice, nose-clearing strong horseradish. The packet is small - so ask for two. Or just eat it plain - the meat itself is so good, you don't really need anything else. The pork tenderloin is not going to make Iowa native swoon. But, you don't find these many places in the west (why, I wonder) - and it is a very nice break from burgers and beef. Love the crunchy crust and tender inside. The walleye - well, I was born in Minnesota and walleye must be in my genes. This is still a mild fish, but I prefer it to cod. And, again, nice to have a non-burger choice. The custard - yum. Very rich. I share a small with my husband (and my dog) and it is pleny. Frozen custard is much more dense than soft serve ice cream and a little goes a long way. They always have vanilla and chocolate and a rotating flavor of the day. I love the pure taste of the vanilla, but I have had the cashew caramel. It is decadent. I have had no issues with service. An odd thing about the drive up window is that once you order, you park and they will bring your food out to you. read more

We ordered 3 burgers on 3/17/22, and all 3 of us got food poisoning. I don't make this claim recklessly as I would feel terrible if it came from another source, but we all had burgers for dinner, and prior we are nothing from the same place... Our son had severe vomiting, my wife and I had cramping and well..... Vomiting from the other side. We are all recovered 3 days later. My burger was cold, we were a few miles out so we didn't turn back. My son's burger, ordered with nothing on it, had all the toppings.
