This location serves tasty food from a friendly staff at a reasonable price. It's clean, inviting, has a family atmosphere, and makes sure all patrons are happy when leaving. They have very tasty burgers that are of decent size (though I'd recommend at least a double if you have a slightly larger than normal appetite) paired with near-perfectly cooked fries and a menu that will hold it's own against all the other big players. They also have CRISPY chicken sandwiches, my favorite being the spicy one - it's very tasty! I must also mention that they have, what I think to be, the BEST honey mustard. Come on guys... this was just ridiculous. We waited for 45 minutes for 2 kids cheese burger meals, a double cheeseburger basket and a single cheeseburger with pickles. When we finally got our food: 1 it was cold. 2 you FORGOT the double cheeseburger. You come back with another burger, didn't even wait 2 seconds to make sure all was good. I don't even care at this point if the food was good, because i've never had food from a culvers that's been bad, but that is completely besides the point. The manager Cara/Tara (not sure if that's correct because I could barely read the font on her name tag) was completely rude. My boyfriend and I came inside to order because the drive in was really long and as soon as we opened the door she looked at us and loudly said "Oh he11 nah." That is rude and improper behavior for a restaurant MANAGER. Aww, Culver's only has a 2 star average for this Lockport, IL location with a limited number of reviews. I'm actually writing as a visitor from Southern California. I don't believe we have an equivalent to Culver's in my neck of the woods. Most unique item I tried was the Wisconsin Cheese Curds! Although, I'm not much for dairy products, these deep fried cheddar curds were tasty although I only had one or two. I was pleasantly surprised at how decent my veggie burger was! It's not a Beyond nor an Impossible but, it certainly was not a mediocre mushy garden burger. It actually had the depth and texture one would expect in a meat hamburger. So kudos for that! Mash and gravy was ok. I did try a couple of fries and those were OK too. As for frozen custard--it's not really a thing in SoCal. The only place I know of locally that has it is Rita's in OC or Shake Shack. Frozen custard is a cold dessert similar to ice cream but, made w/eggs in addition to cream and sugar. I had a lil taste and it seems to have a smoother consistency than ice cream. I did not have much of it but, I had enough to conclude that I like it! I don't get the hype. Culver's is not good at all. I don't eat cheeseburgers as I hate cheese and find it gross. I ordered the Pot Roast dinner and it was just terrible. Tasted like tough canned meat over a cheap canned gravy , the mash potatoes were ok but didn't really taste like real potatoes. Maybe they are I don't know. They were awful. The green beans were greasy and the onions they use in the green beans are so overwhelming. It made me sick how strong the smell was. I'm a fan of Culver's, this is a newer location for Culver's in the City of Lockport. I arrived for a late lunch and was greeted immediately by the wait staff. This location is very clean and bright, I placed my order and sat down to wait for my meal. My meal arrived shortly after ordering, your order is made fresh which I like, so it is a bit of a longer wait. I tried out the cheeseburger kids meal, which comes with a coupon for a free scoop of custard. My cheeseburger was perfect as well as the fries. Never had a problem at this location. Store and parking lot are immaculate, staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, and our order is always right. Yes, they are known all.over for their famous Butter Burgers (rightfully so), but their cheese curds and onions rings are what we always get when my family gets the hankering for Culver's. I have to say I've been to several Culver's throughout the area of Illinois and Indiana mainly.One thing i've come to expect for the most part is their employees really don't care about customer satisfaction.But the Culvers in particular in the newly built location.I was recently there and they handed me a large Blaster and on the outside of the container it was sticky and smeared with ice cream so I asked the employee to clean it before I had all over my hands with no napkins.As I noticed an employee was using a rag to clean the appliances and counter top and the employee with my drink was in the act of using that rag to wipe off my drink....Very Unsanitary!!!!!!!....So everyone watch out that you don't get poisened from the lack of Leadership and training of these employees..... read more

For the most part, the food is good. It always seems fresh, and service is above avg. The problem I have is the cost, a simple Cheeseburger is $4. You may think your product is superior to other fast food but in the end it's still fast food and it's still a cheeseburger. You may put butter on the bun but why does that cost $1-$2 more. If it was a double or triple then fine but it's a single patty, with condiments. How can you call a Value meal if it over $10, I guess if al a cart is $15 then it's a value. SMH read more

My husband and I usually eat here about once a month. The people who work here are super friendly. It seems like the staff is fairly consistent, which is always a good sign. The quality of food we have received has been good and lives up to the expectations of Culvers. You do have to wait a little longer for the food, but it is always hot and delicious. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that sometimes the custard tastes over churned and tastes like you are eaten sweetened butter.
